    Losing to Comeback Winning!
Still maintain we should have shown more ambition in Seville.
A lot is riding on the first goal imo.
    And there lies the problem.
We could fall into the trap of being too worried about conceding first.
Agreed, should have at least nicked a goal. Just one. Would be a lot more comfortable going into this game.

Still, with our recent comeback form, it's promising.

Seems it'll be same team as Liverpool with Martial on bench.

So important we keep a clean sheet this game, 0-0 away results make me so nervous...

If Paul was so close to starting v Liverpool that he needed a fitness assessment then he'll be fit for this.
No point in training with a gash to the Leg if you want it fully healed belfore tomorrow.

Highlights of sevilla playing against Valencia on saturday. Sevilla made many chances and probably were very unlucky to lose 0-2. They are an attacking team who i think will have more posession than us, they also leave gaps especially in fullback area. They have fast and tricky playes and we will have to be very careful not to give away a penalty. Their finishing is usually a bit hit and miss.

They are a strange team, they gave barca one of their very difficult games earlier in the year, but also get spanked sometimes.
I expect them to not be very forward thinking, being compact and trying to hit us on the counter when we attack. It is very important to play pacey defenders, if their full backs push on, we need to be very quick to exploit that space.

Sevilla will play i think this team-

Rico; Mercado, Kjaer, Lenglet; Sarabia, Nzonzi, Banega, Escudero; Vasquez, Correa and Muriel.

    ---------------Rico------------------
    Mercado------Kjaer-----Lenglet------Escuerdo
    ------------Nzonzi-----------Banega-----------
    -----correa--------Vasquez---------sarabia----
    ----------------Muriel---------------------------

The biggest problem sevilla face is that Jesus Navas is injured, they will have to reshuffle the defense, layun who played there against valencia is not registered in europe. Corchia is injured and wont be available. so they will have to play Mercado in right back and Kjaer or Nzonzi in centre back

They may play pizzaro instead of correa and play 3 in the middle. Kjaer is great in air, i think Lukaku will need to be on top of his game to be winning things in air. They have Nzonzi and Lenglet both of whom will also be decent in the air.

I think we should take long shots in this game as Rico has habit of dropping them infront of him or isnt able to palm them away to safety, leaving the ball in dangerous areas.

Need to attack mercado(out of position) and kjaer who is a bit slow, Rashford or Martial on the left is absolute necessity. Nzonzi will mark sanchez, so it is very important for him to keep nzonzi busy and keep him away from dominating in the middle. Lukaku has to try and take Kjaer on for pace and power.
Thanks for this, only thing I'd say is that they were at home in this game and they are a totally different side away from home.

I don't expect them to dominate possession away from home really and think it'll probably be quite even.

Good to know they've got some shuffling to do in defense though, Rashford, high on confidence, could have a field day here.

If Pogba is unavailable it'll be the same starting 11 as vs Liverpool.

I hope we are brave and positive in our approach... an obvious statement I know, but that first goal is so important.

I hope you can enjoy it too, now that you already forgot Celta de Vigo's game at OT.
You must be the single most pessimistic person on this site. That's saying something.

Do you support United? I vaguely remember you saying you don't and just support players or managers or something?

I'm very concerned. They score first and the players and stadium will be a bag of nerves. Feel like we missed the boat a little bit in Spain.

    Too much negativity.
Sevilla, need to come here and get a draw. That's not easy. And if they succeed then they deserve to go through. I won't have any hard feelings.
BUT, I trust our manager and players and fully expect them to score goals; and then "shut up shop" when we are satisfied with the score line.
I think you need to trust our players, more.

I believe we will get through this. It is textbook Mourinho to pull the rabbit out of the hat in the business end of the season.

Many were picking us to drop into 4th or 5th place because of our fixture list, yet we had 3 dogged wins in a row. That will build some character in these players, and they will go confident going into this game.

I believe we have a very good chance of getting to the semi's. I fancy us against every team based on the form we are in. We are not playing swashbuckling, but we are playing in a very Mourinho way, and playing that way works.

It's very annoying that you only have to be on a bad day or just unlucky and you are out of the competition, thats knockout stages for ya, i just hope it is not one of those days where the ball just doesn't wanna go in, hitting the post multiple times etc, hopefully create a safe margin of goals cause i don't know if i can handle being a single goal up in the dying minutes, it's seriously bad for my health not even joking and no not watching the game is not a possibility.

    LET'S GO!

No doubt Rashford has been in terrific form. But, Sevilla will stay deep and there wont be much space behind. I feel Martial could do better in such case. We need someone in the bench to take advantage of tired legs, thats where Rashford can help us more.
    Ahh, I see. Fair enough.

Interesting the bit about the defense shuffle, I had forgot Layún was cup tied.

A combination of injuries and shocking performances have made this a terribly, terribly disappointing 'crucial second season' for Pogba. Last season, despite the huge spotlight on him, he had the excuse of settling back into the English game and adjusting. This season, no excuses - Jose has bought a midfielder designed to get the best out of him and he's either been injured or sub-par pretty much all season. Worrying.

If he's definitely out, I expect Fellaini to start as the third midfielder. I just pray Jose doesn't aim for a 1-0 here, coz the media backlash would be horrendous if it went tits up.

Correa was a big problem for us in the first leg. We need to make sure we nullify that threat. Feel if we do that, we stop them.

In regards to us, I hope we go with a 4231 and attack them from the off.

Most important week of the season so far. Lose against Sevilla and Brighton and our season is over. Carry our momentum through these games and win will give us a great position to be in for the remaining season.

Unchanged Lineup for this one with Pogba, Martial and Lingard to come off the bench if things go south. Martial, Lingard, Lindelof, Shaw and Fellaini to start against Brighton.

I think we’ll be unchanged, but I’d play Shaw over Young here. Young was great against Liverpool, but the full backs will have more freedom to get forward here and Shaw’s width and overlapping would be ideal.

Arguably the biggest game of the season so far. can you imagine the absolute meltdown if we were to actually win this competition, literally would be a serious dilution of City's season, something I suspect the blue half of Mcr are secretly dreading!
