As shite as they are, we only squeaked past them in the reverse fixture where they almost grabbed a draw at the end.

We can't have one eye on Arsenal at the weekend.

It’s a game we must win. But we don’t want anymore injury to any player. Rotation is the key. Even if the injury doubt of Rashford turns out to be nothing, we’re better to giving him a one-game rest. The game is definitely expected to be very physical and tough.

Rest Shaw and put Bailly back in. Ideal game for VDB to get some more match fitness. Save Cavani for Arsenal.

Feel like we should rest Shaw and Cavani for Arsenal as Telles is a capable backup and Martial scored a hat-trick against the same defence last season. Bruno, Fred and Bailly to step back in, and if Rashy isn’t passed fit, get Donny in and stick Pogba on the left.

    3-0 United.

Would like to rest Shaw and Rashford for this one.

My worry is relying on Martial to step in, we cannot afford to drop any points here before playing Arsenal.

I would make a few changes, but doubt it would happen.

    De Gea, certainly.

Tuanzebe, needs a run out, and played pretty well at RB before.

    Bailly, alternate with Lindelof.

    Maguire, certainly.

    Telles, give Shaw a break.

Matic, plays well against teams like this normally.

Fred, need that hustle bustle in midfield.

VDB, give him another run, needs the time on the pitch.

Bruno, player to unlock the defence, would bring Mata on for him if we are well in control second half.

Martial, gives Rashy a break, and desperately needs goals.

Greenwood, signs of his coming back to form, goal would have done wonders for him.

More rotation here needed after a tough game yesterday. Arsenal only 3 days after this one also so pretty brutal scheduling this week.
Pogba definitely needs resting here as he's ran his heart out the past few games and I wish we had someone to rotate with bissaka.

    De Gea
    Bissaka - Bailly - Maguire - Telles
    Fred - Matic
    Bruno
    Greenwood - Martial - Rashford

    Reckon something like:

    DDG

    AWB
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Telles

    Matic
    Pogba
    Fernandes

    James
    Martial
    Rashford (if fit)

Would like to hold back Cavani for the Arsenal game, but think Pogba is too good to drop right now. Front 3 is hard to predict right now after the knocks to Greenwood and Rashford, and could easily see Mata start this over James with them likely sitting back.

It’s a good opportunity for Diallo to have his debut, likely off the bench

Just hope to continue before going to the Emirates on Saturday, which will be tight.

So a bit of turn over.

Sheffield seem to give us a good game every time, so full rotation gives me the nerves. I’d go:

    DDG

    AWB
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Telles

    Matic
    VDB

    Greenwood
    Bruno
    James

    Martial

    Assuming Rashford is injured.

I'd play Donny again but further back. 1 game every 5 won't help him settle. Pogba wide to help out with the attacking full backs as he did yesterday. Fred in for mctominay and see how Rashford is. Got Martial to play there anyway even though he's out of form. Cavani for 60 mins and give greenwood half hour up top to keep him fresh .

Ole hasn’t beaten Liverpool before, so it will be interesting to see how he copes with going into a game following beating Liverpool.

So in a way, this is Ole’s first real test.

Don’t see any reason why Donny can’t start this one too. Needs game time

We play Wednesday & Saturday, ridiculous. We'll need to shuffle the pack, no better time to do it than V's Sheff United.

Expect to win this - and should win big. but I said that about West Brom and Watford! We do need to give the goal difference a bit of a boost

maybe we could buy Haaland tomorrow and throw him in too! Quite like you team but more chance of you and me being the wing backs! Be nice to see Pellestri and Diallo on the bench

In an ideal world, this will be decided before the hour mark, so we can start to rest players for the game at Arsenal - which I'm sort of dreading. Can totally see them raising their game for us amidst the shite they usually put out.

We gave decided only one league game all season (Leeds) by the hour mark, so chances are that will continue.

I would start with Donny again instead of Bruno, see if he can build upon his okay but not great showing. Rotate a few of the others, Shaw, Lindelov and Rashford (?) Hopefully we can keep the good run going into the Arsenal game

You’ll likely be facing Jagielka again with Egan suspended. Just want this week to be over with already.

Think this will be a good game to give Shaw a rest, Telles will be attacking plenty and they haven't really got any pace to scare him on the wings.

Would like to see DVB get some more minutes at some point, but think we will start Fred/Pogba/Bruno and then maybe add Donny in if we are comfortable by that point.

I don't think we've played you yet without Jagielka playing

Would hope for a more comfortable victory (2 goals or more, we've not had many of those in the league besides Leeds). Rotate a bit

    De Gea

Tuanzebe (will prob be AwB as you can't change too much) Bailly Maguire Telles

    Matic Donny/Fred
    Bruno

    Greenwood Martial Mata/James

Slight rotation ahead or Arsenal i guess

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Maguire Telles
    VDB Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Im hoping Marcus is fit, and we should definitely rest Cavani after two games this week. We need him against Arsenal.

If Marcus is unfit, then i guess we can play Mata, or Pogba in an advanced position.

Score a couple early and take Bruno off early, i hope.

Proper banana skin, last time they played us I felt they'd get points and get to safety easy... maybe they were just game raising cnuts.

Cavani has to rest as we've got Arsenal on the weekend and lately it seems Arteta has Ole's number, so i'd rather he's fresh for that.

Do you think there’s a chance you might get any result? If I remember rightly you actually played quite well last time we played you.

I'd bring Telles, Matic and Martial back for this one. Maybe a sub cameo for Diallo if we can make a strong start and have the luxury of enjoying the last half an hour. Would make a pleasant change.

Has anyone watched Sheffield United closely since we last played them?

I saw them draw vs Brighton with 10 men and they were up for that game, since then they beat a poor Newcastle but around that lost to Everton, Burnley, Palace and Spurs.
Their through to 5th round of FA cup but against lower league sides have just got through.

This will be a typical bottom of the league team game, if we breakthrough early then we could be on easy street, if not then they will play out of the skins and raise their game massively. I am more confident them versus Burnley and even Fulham but we will need to match their physicality and rely a lot on Harry in defending set pieces.

It’s a joke really, always a suspension or an injury at the back around the time we play you.

Cannot see it at all personally. We will continue to struggle in these conditions I think.

If this plan will work, it'll be brilliant to bring fully rested Rashford and Pogba on Arsenal three days later and finally batter them.

Aaah such a shame, really like what you boys have brought to the league and it’s a shame you will go down, hope you go down with some dignity and get some points on the board (not Wednesday though).
