We really could use Martial for this one. Hopefully is fit and can stay fit because he’s scored goals whenever he’s been on the pitch this season, and we could do with someone who can finish at the moment.

Hope Fred doesnt start this game, but I don t really see how we can win this game considering the few chances we create at the moment.

I really wish we had cover for Dalot and I want Bruno dropped, seems a real mistake to loan out Laird again with how he's looking at QPR, I'd go with this:

    DDG
    Lindelof/ Malacia Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony VDB Rashford
    Martial

We’re so reliant on Eriksen. He just gives us a composure we don’t have if he’s missing.

I will miss this match, damn second shift.
If Martial and Eriksen are fit, I'm really optimistic for this one.

More of the same as yesterday I expect. We'll create very little. Son or Kane likely to punish us.

    Dvdb?!

    Why?
Welcome to laugh but we have seen players such as Mctominay vastly improve based off them genuinely thinking they may get a spot in the starting XI so they go that bit harder, it works the other way as well to let Bruno know those performances haven't been good enough and he needs to look after the ball better. I don't think Lindelof is a better RB than Dalot and I don't think VDB is a better 10 than Bruno but we need competition for places simply and we don't have the depth simply at 10 or RB

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Three managers including his ex Ajax manager have chosen to leave him out, there must be a reason? (personally, I thought when he’s had his (limited) chances, he’s look timid and avoided the ball).

I think there are better options if don’t want Bruno.. Eriksen as 10 and two midfielders behInd out of Casemiro, McT, Fred, reserves.

I'd be up for that and yea I don't understand the VDB thing, I don't think Solskjaer knew how to use him and Ragnick wasn't a good manager, he's been injured so far for ETH, I don't think he will make it but I wouldn't rule it out yet, I also haven't been impressed with Eriksen further forward and think him and Casemiro are the two most important players in their positions deeper for us, I'd even prefer Sancho at 10 as he doesn't seem to have the physicality/ pace for a wide player in the PL

I know we donnt look brilliant but why is everbody overrating Spurs? They have three decent players and an overrated manager who has won f.. all except the Serie A.

He is quite literally the last manager not named Klopp or Guardiola to win the Premier League, geez.

I am so annoyed with how conjusted and hard our schedule looks. One top 4 competitor after another.

Every game in PL is big so just go and try to win it.

I think DvdB isn’t going to be fit. He would have been useful in the second half against Newcastle where we had a lack of movement and penetration.

I wonder whether McT will start this one, Casemiro has been good.

It's mad. It is however an excellent opportunity to jump up the table as we'll be facing Spurs and Chelsea who are both ahead of us.

We're 7 behind Spurs (and City) with a game in hand, and 3 behind Chelsea. Win both those games and we'd be 1 behind Spurs and level with Chelsea (assuming they beat Brentford). We're a lot closer than it seems!

Arsenal & City are too far ahead and now Liverpool are fixed - they will be in top 3.
This is all pessimistic make believe (presumably as a way for you to manage your emotions and expectations).

That's not the issue, the issue has always been struggling with the fixtures that on paper are winnable. I don't think it's solely the manager these players have a tendency to not match the intensity the lower league teams oftentimes have as a substitute for them lacking outright talent. It's when there's no top 6 fixtures fans should worry. Banana skins all the time in those situations.

Two wins in these two matches will be huge. Will also do wonders for our top four ambitions.

Exactly. To be within touching distance after the second most difficult run of games in the league (according to this) would be very good. Then hopefully we can rack up the points in the easier games and see where we are.

    Whatever happened to Eriksen?

We have beaten the big teams at home this season. I expect us to win on Wednesday again. ETH's tactics will see us through again

I mean, there are literally only 3 results that separate us from the team at the top, and nearly 30 games to go ffs! And that’s even the team that is first, a whole four points clear at the top, let alone you ruling out that we can even make up points on the next two behind them! It’s a ridiculous statement.

Conte will set up on the counter and concede territory and possession. We were killed on the counter vs City, but then again Casemiro wasn't on the pitch.

    I'd go with something like...

    DdG

    Shaw
    Martinez
    Varane
    Dalot

    Casemiro
    McTominay
    Eriksen

    Rashford
Martial (if fit...if not, Rashford up top and Sancho left)
    Antony

Bruno and Fred need to be dropped - I'm pretty sick to death of our team being so careless and erratic on the ball. Let's play more technical players who are comfortable on the ball in all areas of the pitch and see what happens.

fair play to you for your optimism but there is a big gulf in class and recent history plus quality of player has to come into consideration.

I hope you are right but I cant see how we finish in the top 3 with the current squad we have

Can’t see us winning here. The points dropped against newcastle and a loss here is going to increase pressure on ETH before the chelsea game. Spurs looks stronger in all department

I can't see us winning against a Spurs side which will most definitely park the bus and counter with Son and Kane. Likely a draw or Spurs win.

With our current form in front of goal, we won't make the most out of the one or two good chances we create, while Spurs will do exactly that. Hoping for the best though...
