I’m glad that AWB is getting a rest. He’s looked extremely shattered recently.

Rest of the lineup pretty much picks itself other than De Gea retaining his place in between the sticks despite his very poor performance at the weekend.

Surprised to see Wan-Bissaka drop to the bench but his form recently hasn't been good. A shame Shaw remains out. Hopefully the starting 11 get the job done as I don't see many game changers on that bench.

Not sure why anyone is nervous about this, it doesn't really change anything for Sunday. Sure, a win makes it slightly more comfortable but no matter what happens here today, if leicester beat us on Sunday they finish above us.
By winning, and hopefully Chelsea lose also, we ll be 3rd and put massive pressure on Leicester to beat us on Sunday. I rather have them to have a go at us and try to win by a 1,2,3 goal difference than none, and also knowing that a draw will qualify us

No. Ignoring Chelsea completely, if we beat West Ham, Leicester would need to win by the same margin to beat us to the CL place.

Not if we win by a few tonight.

3-0 win tonight and lose 1-0 on Sunday and we make top 4.

He's been dreadful for last 4 games. Gives the ball away all the time.
I think he should have been given the rest in the previous game against Chelsea. It's weird to get him totally knackered in games he's not needed in then rest him in the last crucial 2 games of the season.

Almost everything in this post is wrong.

Glad he didn't drop De Gea. Would've been too reactionary and added too much drama to an already pressurised situation.

Didn't think he'd start Matic twice in a row, but I guess he's fitter than we give him credit for.

True, but I would much rather the pressure be on leicester going into the game

AWB has looked shot recently. He’s looked so leggy and laboured to the point where his touch and passing has been heavy.
I actually thought TFM looked quite sharp when he came on against Chelsea.

No, 1 goal for them means -1 goal for us in the last game

It's nice to get to the last two league games and at least have them mean something for the first time in god knows. With Jose there was nothing to play for in 17-18, Louis final day 15-16 we had no chance anyway. The final fixtures of the last few seasons have been a damp squib for too long

Attack from the off with tempo. Lock down the result.

De Geas kept his place? wow

Read something today about De Gea knowing he has no real competition at the club so that causes complacency. I say bring Henderson back and genuinely give both players a fair chance to claim the number 1 spot. Nothing but good will come from it.

The entire Caf should be forced to do a quiz on the rules of Goal Difference and if you get it wrong you get banned.

How do people still not understand how it works?

This is the right team imo. Front 6 picks itself.
Defence, Williams is the only choice.
RB, Fosu has to start (and that is partly cos we didnt rest AWB against Chelsea)
    Defence picks itself.

Keeper was the only call, but in a way, wasnt a call at all. DDG, like AWB, should have been rested last match and come back in for this.

Draw means a draw will do vs Leicester. Lose and we will need to win. Win by 3 and we can afford to lose by 1.

I'm not saying I don't want to win, or course I do. And as acknowledged above a win will put us in a more comfortable position.

However, I'm not "nervous" because it doesn't really change things. The only result tonight that really changes Sunday is if we get an absolute cricket score.

Remember though, if we beat West Ham 4-0 today that doesn't mean Leicester need to beat us 4-0, they would only need 2-0.

I don't believe hes complacent at all, doesn't strike me as that type of personality..

I think he's just dropped off a cliff but I am not sure if it's confidence or just ability... Maybe confidence went a couple of years ago for Spain and it seeped in so much it's now who he is.

Let’s be honest, if we can’t beat West Ham at home with that team, then we don’t really deserve to be in the CL regardless of what happens on Sunday.

you know what I mean. and yes this season is better than Jose's 17-18 season which we all knew was only going to get worse from then on, because this season's team is actually young and improving with time rather than getting shitter. no one expected us to challenge for the title this year

Make absolutely no mistake, this West Ham side and manager would love nothing more than to feck up our chances of CL qualification

It amazes me that we have people posting on football forums (usually they are the ones who are most obsessed) who don't know how GD works.

I propose we ban any more maths for the duration of this match before my head explodes.
