i know their game got postponed. they’ll lose when they play it.

Apologies if I offended you with the joke. Never meant that mate. Enjoy the game!
Did not realize it was a joke. All good.

Not a great game...just a bit off in everything we do today. Fingers crossed.

    Hopefully it's more enjoyable

Apart from Sancho, we have no one who can keep the ball in the final third. We need to be tidier when we go forward and sustain attacks.

Maybe what we're seeing is information overload, the players seem to be forcing a lot of passes even when they're not on so it seems they want to play in a certain way but don't really know how to yet so are making a lot of poor decisions. Either way they was a really poor half and hopefully we can make some adjustments at half time.

Yeah, this formation isn't gonna work. There's a reason no other big club plays 4-2-2-2.

McTominay the best player in the pitch. Only one really showing urgency on and off the ball.

Maguire and Lindelof have done well. Sancho has done some nice things. Everyone else has had some really sloppy moments with Rashford and Bruno the biggest offenders.

Rashford has been guilty of this forever. He just rarely ever plays well even in games where he produces.

Bruno has become a liability of late which is depressing because he’s so much better than this. He’s always been a guy who will give the ball away a bit but it’s just too much now and the moments of brilliance are less prominent. He needs to get it sorted or needs to be taken out of the side.

Harry and Scotty have been good.

    Collectively it's a fat disappointment.

We need better attacking patterns and some more creativity from deep. McFred don't complement each other in that regard.

    Magical Manchester United.
Rashford and Bruno will be in trouble under Ralf. Rashford barely looks interested, no pressing, no off the ball work and very little effort overall. Bruno just keeps losing the ball and it’s one of those days when nothing comes off. Hopefully Ralf teaches him to keep it simple at times, but I doubt he is going to change much.

Eeesh. Real lack of urgency and quality.

Sancho has looked lively, the whole back 4 have done well. Actually central midfield has been fine too.

But Ronnie's a bit out of sorts, and Rashford...yeah eeesh.
Sancho the best of the front three and will be off as soon as he makes two mistakes in a row

Like i said, not good enough, if he wants to play this Ole shit and try to grind results while training something else, pass. Rather see them trying and failing, while slowly getting better at it than this Ole type of junk.

Can we also please pass forward? I get bored with see the ball go back to Maguire and Lindelof again and again.

McT our best player. Ronaldo, Bruno and Rashford have had shockers so far.

That Rashford first half is one of the worse displays I may have ever seen from a United player and I don’t think I’m exaggerating. Waltzing around the place, dropping his shoulder and fecking up every single move.
His performance in the EL final was a cut above in that regard. If he doesn't have space to run in to he's largely ineffective. Average technician with horrendously indulgent decision making.

If he doesn't sub Rashford off he's genuinely another clueless coward of a manager who sticks with club favourites over playing the best/most in form players.
Rashford is literally the only player showing any intent to stretch the defence. Bruno, Sancho, and Ronaldo all keeping come short to the ball and deep. By all means propose taking Rashford off, but as against Watford, who do you then see doing the honest running off the ball?

I’m hoping Ralf has said to not press first half and save energy and go at them second half. As think it’ll be hard work for them to press for 90 mins over the next month.

Thats what I’m hoping anyway but more like they’ve settled in to old patterns
I dunno, don’t think you can really approach games like that.

The lack of endeavour to pass through the lines from midfield from Scott especially was just gutless football.

    Feck me I’m properly livid

I don't understand why Rashford is getting the nod ahead of Greenwood who is looking very sharp at the moment. Rashford really struggles with passing the ball.
Takes 5 extra touches before his brain catches up and he's able to calculate a pass.

On a positive note, McT is playing quite well. Some nice interceptions and passes.

People being really negative. You can see so much improvement in our overall play and shape. Energy better, pressing better. Forward progression of the ball better. The two forwards, Ronaldo and Rashford, have been really off colour so far, which is where it’s all breaking down.

I think some patience and realism is required. So much negativity in here. Gets really boring. The endless slating of players as being fundamentally crap, or finished.
The team have had only a small number of training sessions under the new manager, its going to take a few months to get things really right. There are mistakes happening but also hints of changes. I think you have got your comments spot on.

You do have to appreciate the players turning up in the first match of a manager's reign before returning to normal in the next game.

    Awful performance.
    Rashford,Ronaldo and Bruno really poor.

Rashford should not have started, been poor for weeks and hes come back from surgery looking worse than ever.
Should be hooked at the break.

Hope to see Greenwood on asap.

Strategy Guys ! Ralf realised our players cant press more than 30 mins so he saved them for second half !

Decent in snatches. It'll take a while to get accustomed to the new system but it's encouraging to see some of the pressing which looks much more organised. Sancho also looks better and good to see Marcus putting himself about a little more. Bruno has been pretty bad again.
    Dont you mean patches.

Its the second game, and only half time. We’ve dominated for the most part, we’ll be alright.

Poor half from Rashford and Ronaldo, the ball isn't sticking up top, Sancho has been the best our attackers and the 2 CB's have been solid. Mason on for the 2nd half for me.
