Hoping for a big victory to cleanse us of that City shambles. 3-0

Have to play Ronaldo and Casameiro. McT served his purpose in a few games but there's no way forward with him. His passing is terrible.

    A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
No way sancho, Bruno or Mctominay should play.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindeloff Jones Shaw
    Casimiro
    Fred Zidane
    Antony Ronaldo Martial

We need to rotate and use the squad, see who is hungry enough to play big games.
I'd love to see that midfield. We need to get Casemiro integrated urgently, and it would be a shame if we fail to give Iqbal any opportunities given our need for midfielders of his ilk.

That bench has five players that started vs Liverpool? I don’t get your post!
Don't care who they started against.

We don't have any strength in depth except for the bolded.

Heaton, Malacia, McTominay, Eriksen, Sancho, Rashford, Elanga, Garnacho, Pallestri

Some out of Iqbal, Savage. Garnacho, Mainoo, McNeil, Hansen-Aaroen should be starting this. I know its must win but its only a Cypriot team and to keep people fresh for the absurd schedule this month.
Only real question is who do we trust in the 2nd 11 to start if we rest Erikson, Martinez, McT

    Dubravka
AWB (If Fit) Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Savage Fred
    Iqbal
    Sancho Martial/Garnacho
    Ronaldo/Garnacho

Massive rotation needed there. Give players some minutes.

Expect for a dirty 1-1 or short win for us

Would rotate here. Shouldn't be a difficult game.

    Dubravka
Wan Bissaka - Lindelof - Martinez - Shaw
    Casemiro - Fred
    Elanga - Bruno - Sancho
    Ronaldo

Bring Martial on later since he should start vs Everton.
Martial will definitely start. He needs a run of games.

Surely likely to see starts for:
    Shaw
    Lindelof
    Casemiro
    Fred
    Martial

perhaps Wan Bissaka too, unless he is really out of favour.

Sounds like he is going full strength.

I think he will bring Shaw, Martial and Casemiro in to start and then it's the question of who plays, LW, Sancho or Rashford and who partners Casemiro out of McTominay, Fred or Eriksen. Flip of the coin for who starts at LW and I think he will probably go for Eriksen in the midfield again. I'd personally like to see a midfield trio of Casemrio, Fred and Eriksen but I doubt we will.

    DDG
    Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw
    Casemiro, CM
    Antony, Bruno, LW
    Martial

5% of people think we're winning 9-0, watch us get beat 1-0 now :p

Just want Ronaldo, Martial and Casemiro to get minutes ...I guess Lindelof and Shaw as well. Need to get some players into form and up and running. The team vs City pretty much picked itself not only because it had played well previously but because the challenge for places hasn't been great so far.
Mine still only goes up to five

So Wan bissaka and VDB are injured.

So probably a much stronger XI

Would play a diamond, to rest Rashford, Sancho and Eriksen. Dont have many options in defense so rest also Malacia and give minute to Shaw.

Below formation can also see Bruno playing right, Martial left, and Fred 10 in a traditional 4-2-3-1

Very. Only question is whether to play Shaw or Malacia. Malacia keeps his place for me. By the sounds of things ETH will go strong for this one. McTom dropped for Casemiro and maybe Fred in to rest Eriksen. Up front Martial, Ronaldo and Antony should be the 3.

We don't need to be close to full strength to beat them, and I would like us to use this to give minutes to Maguire, Ronaldo and some young guns.

    0 - 3 Utd.

Have we ever played in Cyprus before?
We've played in Cyprus before, but not against a team from Cyprus.
NICOSIA, Cyprus - Maccabi Haifa recorded perhaps the greatest-ever result by an Israeli team in European competition, by beating the mighty Manchester United 3-0 in the Champions League at a Haifa home game played in Cyprus Tuesday night. Having already assured themselves of winning the group, United fielded a depleted lineup still hoping to maintain their unbeaten record, but they came unstuck against a Haifa side that played with passion and commitment and was fully deserving of the win.

If their debut in the Champions League at Old Trafford was hailed at the time as an historic chapter in the annals of Israeli soccer, the performance last night made the joy complete and made worthwhile the expense of travel to Cyprus for home matches because Israel is prevented from hosting international matches due to the security situation in the country.

Not sure it's the best idea to play Martial wide left when he'll likely be used as our main striker throughout the season when fit. Would like to see Garnacho get a chance wide left from the start and if the game is comfortable we can try moving Ronnie wide left in a bit of a free role and Martial get the 2nd half up front.

It is a shame Dalot has to play every single minute as there are no (trusted?) alternatives. Is AWB injured or just completely Donnyed?

Should win this pretty convincingly - if we lose, we might not even make it to the Conference (and don't deserve to)

No clue about Jones, Williams and Tuanzebe. Greenwood is yeah

Everyone else is available I think unless I'm forgetting a player.

    I think we'll see:

    De Gea
    Dalot Victor Martinez Shaw
    Fred Casemiro Bruno
    Antony Ronaldo Martial

    3:1 Antony Ronaldo Martial

Having beat city 2-3 in the second half at the weekend I’m confident we’ll cruise this.

    I imagine we will see;

    DDG
    Dalot
    Martinez
    Lindelof
    Shaw
    Casemiro
    Fred
    Bruno

The front three players I’m unsure but I’d play Elanga, Martial, Garnacho/Pellestri

Or you could start Ronaldo and bring Martial on.

Also have a feeling we may see Ronaldo in a front two with Martial. I think EtH has realised he’s better in this system as part of a 2…

Glad I checked the kickoff time. Much prefer the earlier kick offs for these EL games, the quality is so low that I'd rather it didn't take up most the evening.
