If Blind can play I would like to see:
    ---------------De Gea-------------
    Rafael---Smalling---Rojo---Shaw
    ----------------Blind---------------
    ---------Herrera---Januzaj--------
    ----------------Mata---------------
    ------------RVP---Wilson----------

If Blind is unavailable, I would like this:
    ---------------De Gea-------------
    Rafael---Smalling---Rojo---Shaw
    ----------Pereira---Herrera-------
    ---Januzaj---Rooney---Wilson---
    ----------------RVP---------------

    -----------DeGea------------
    Rafael-Smalling-Rojo-Shaw
    ------------Blind-------------
    ----Fellaini------Herrera----
    ------------Mata-------------
    -----Wilson-----Rooney-----

LvG will probably play Valencia and switch positions between between Fellaini and Rooney, but i can live with that.

Positive: Their number 1 goalkeeper (Our Sam Johnstone) can't play against us

Negative: Kevin Davies will probably injure one of our players

Sylvain Ebanks-Blake and Jermaine Beckford are playing for them too.

I meant in terms of what I want to see. I thought that was the point of these threads.

What you meant wasn't lost by me. I understood you clearly. Was only taking the piss out of the fact that LvG has seemingly cast rafael away never to be seen again bar injury to Valencia and /or Mcnair. Wasnt really laughing at you, if you follow...

Totally understand... It's been a long day. Ha.

At any rate, we better get a new right back this summer regardless of Rafael and others.

Can't be arsed with a replay, it'll be tough though. Last minute winner from Fellaini as he out-elbows that knob Davies.

We don't have anyone else to play in midfield ahead of Rooney do we? Fellaini I guess but he's not deeper lying player. Think this would be great to watch, potentially, if we play a quick counter attacking game.
This is the exact line-up I'd like to see us go with, we looked so much more controlled and comfortable with the flat 4 midfield in the second half.

Some of our bigger names should have a seat on the bench.

We ll probably play more or less the same team... Rooney as defensive mid and Wilson and RvP upfront maybe..
There is no way Rooney, RvP will get dropped..

Been invited to watch this one in a box should be a good laugh.

I agree with your line up and benching Rooney idea, @ChaddyP. I would put someone in goal just for the heck of it, though.

It would be lovely if we could line up properly as a dress rehearsal for Swansea against this lot. I reckon Wilson might get a shot at the expense of Falcao here.

    Would love to see:

    de Gea
    Rafael - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera --- Di Maria
    Mata
    Rooney - Wilson

    What I expect to see:

    de Gea
    Valencia - Someone - Rojo - Shaw
    Not Herrera
    Not Herrera --- Not Herrera
    Not Herrera
THE DEADLY DUO OF FALCAO AND RVP. OPPOSITION BEWARE.
    :lol::lol::lol:

I actually have a feeling that the line up will be close to the one you want to see, except I can see Di Maria being rested maybe, hopefully that will mean Fellaini coming in rather that Rooney staying in midfield though.

It's funny look at all the preferred line up's and seeing the majority wanting Falcao to be dropped, yet it's not happening, compared to at the start when he wasn't playing and everyone was calling for him to start!

Maybe we just need to let LVG know we don't want Herrera to start and then he will

I very much doubt it's going to be a straight forward win. Preston will love this, they will throw themselves at United make life very difficult for our players. I bet the likes of Falcao, Di Maria, Januzaj and co are sick to death of playing teams like this and can't wait to be counter attacking in an empty half of a pitch for a change.

I would love to see Rooney and Wilson up top. Pace, movement and power. Seeing Rooney play in that role last night was hard to watch. This guy is on course to be the top Manchester United goalscorer of all time and we're deploying him in defensive midfield.

Strongest line up needed v Preston or we will struggle to beat them.

    1-2
