Personally my tactic wouldn’t start with Pogba, as I’d park the bus with 3 centre backs, with Matic and McT in front for first 65 mins, hoping to hit super quick counters from which we should score.
If we need to force the game, we can open up for final 25 mins and bring on Pogba, Mata and James
Yes, that's viable too. All I am saying is that we should not destroy our chances of qualifying just because of those comments.

One thing also that maybe we are missing:
    - This interview is a week old, done at a radio that covers extensively Juventus
    - Since then, Pogba has missed 3 games due to an "ankle" issue

The timing of the release of it is horrendous, but I think Ole made Pogba pay already for it. So maybe he will play as intended.

Aren't we rushing Shaw and all?
    Greenwood played 90mn.

If we really want to go for that formation, then I think it should be Rashford / James upfront, with James taking the left side, Rashford the right side, and Greenwood gets involved later in the game.

But why play that way when Bayern has already shown us how to play, and they play with the same ideas as us, in a 4/2/3/1? Well we will see.

In the current situation we are in, we need Pogba offensive capabilities. So he might play. But not clarifying the situation cannot help the mood in the dressing room.
We should think about solidifying the defense first before offensive capabilities imo. We would get chances without Pogba as Leipzig will come out and open spaces. We don't need Pogba to start in this game even before this media circus. He also doesn't know how to beat the press which Leipzig are good at

If Ole has made plans to play Pogba for this game, I agree with you that he shouldn't change those plans to discipline Pogba.

Anyone have an idea of how much will they miss Upamecano? He was trash at OT but does seem one of their leaders...have they an able deputy?

The second most important game in Ole´s tenure. After Leicester away.

Risky to throw Shaw in after a hamstring injury when he only just started training again. If it's a back 3, Tuanzebe can step in.

It’s not a risk if he’s trained and is fit. We may need to rest Telles at some point tomorrow and we know Shaw is a bit better defensively

We are a bit thin up front really: ighalo, Mason and Marcus

Our first cup final of the year then.

Going for a 2-0, they need the win, we don't and I think we will beat them on the counter.

One of those games I'm happy to sit back and let them have the ball.

Get em' on the counter, there are no other sides better than us on the fast break.

In games like these I always get flashbacks of that season where all we needed was a draw/win vs City to seal the league and they beat us at OT... such a shite defensive performance... really hope we don't see a repeat of that tonight.

I honestly don't think we need to be that afraid of them, i know they drew with Bayern at the weekend and are a good team, but their style is tailor made for us, they are legs akimbo for the counter like City but without the same level of firepower. I would start with the back 5 though, but I'd have Van de Beek with one of Matic or McTominay ahead of the 3 CB's as he's our most press resistant CM and pressing is Leipzig's stock in trade.

He didn't drop Fred. He's resting him because he's going to be starting throughout the month.
Fred can't play tomorrow so there was no reason to not use him this past Saturday as he's got a whole week off. I think Ole was disciplining him.

    Nagelsmann presser:

"We have tried to learn our lessons from the 5-0 defeat in Manchester. The final scoreline was a bit high, we didn't play that bad.
"Overall, we had too few chances in their box and weren't aggressive enough in the final third. We were almost too scared to attack. We need to play differently on Tuesday night - we have to find more ways of attacking and try to get behind their defence.
"We are prepared for Manchester United stepping up a gear. They've shown on a number of occasions so far this season that they can come from behind. They are dangerous right up until the final whistle. The game is only over when the referee blows for full time.
"We won't look back on the past meeting. The group is complicated for both teams. We need to win to get through. The heavy defeat in Manchester hasn't made it any easier for us.
"They have been top of the table throughout the group, but their defeat to PSG has changed things for them. We want to win at all costs and reach the knockouts!"

First goal (if any, will be key). If we can score first, I'll relax, knowing we'll see out the game. Probably get more goals as they open up. If we can't score, then mustn't concede. I'll take a 0-0 than have us shit our pants having to chase an equaliser.

    Who is their Talisman?

I have zero knowledge about this team's individual brilliance.

I expect them to press hard and press high so prefer the more ball-play Henderson and Tuanzebe in a 3-man defence. Tuanzebe can also step up to win balls beside McTominay just as how Shaw used to step up.

Matic may be too slow for the pace of this game otherwise I’d have expected the diamond.

Should Ole drop Pogba from the squad? Rewarding players who openly say they don't want to stay and won't sign contract is something I feel Ole won't do.

Don't really understand all those here saying we should "park the bus", let them have lots of possession and sit behind the ball. To me, that's recipe for disaster - we hewar so much about United's DNA: well, that isn't in there. When we start slowly, we struggle to pick up the tempo, relying instead on individual bits o magic or a short purple patch.

I'm not saying we should go hell for leather but even in Fergie's heyday, we weren't great at sitting back and soaking up pressure - and we don't have the defence we had in those days. As it is, I'm afraid I can see us giving a stupid goal away, then struggling to get back into the game. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost 2-0 - of course, if they defend like they did at OT, we'll be OK

Think we’ll go 3 at the back if Shaw is fit, Beek, McTomminay and Bruno in the middle with Greenwood and Rashford up top, hope we don’t see Pogba, even on the bench.

Interesting point. Going on the emotive statement released by that prick Raiola, the impulsive thing to do is drop him and look for a buyer in January. However, for the good of the team, it really isn't worth antagonising a player while we're hitting some 'decent' form. It hasn't worked out well for Arsenal and Ozil. Pogba is a talismanic figure along with Bruno. The opposition would love nothing more than seeing a player of his calibre on the sidelines.
While he hasn't himself said anything, Ole I'm sure, has had a word with him to find out exactly where his head is. He looked full of commitment against WHU on Saturday so to mu mind there's nothing in his body language to suggest he doesn't want to play.

The ideal scenario would be that he commits to playing and giving 100% until the summer, then grant him his wish to leave.

Pogba hasn't said anything, his agent has. That shouldn't impact whether he starts this game or not.

Feel pretty confident about his actually. As long as Rashford and Bruno plays, we will be a constant threat on the break. Can see us scoring 2-3.

352 or 442 diamond to me. I won’t go with 4231. RB Leipzig needs a win means they are going attack 100% without being cautious and likely to play 4 at the back since Upamecano is suspended so let them play into our strength and hit them on counter using Rashford & Greenwood.

Watch out set pieces. They scored the most in set pieces last season in bundes Liga if I remember correctly and we been conceded from set pieces lot recently.

Very little ability from the bench in an attacking sense..

Leipzig don't scare me as much as they did when they had Werner and the Poulsen of 2 years ago.

They have players who can chip in with goals all over the pitch, but lack a constant threat.

Man I am super nervous. This could go either way.
I would probably play McTominay, Pogba and Bruno. We should play a bit deeper but on the front foot, with Pogba and Bruno always looking for the killer pass.
Not sure what Nagelsmann is going to do. I just hope Ole is able to change things if necessary.

Before and after Raiola comment, I have said it before Pogba shouldn’t start since he’s not match fit enough to play twice in 3 days. The last time we did it against arsenal after him playing well against RB Leipzig and he showed dogshite performance in that arsenal game. He even commented and used excuse of him being too tired for the reason him making a foul in a penalty box. We don’t want to take that risk in this game and making the same mistake.

Not sure we can afford to drop Pogba with Fred missing too.

I think the game against RB at home was his best performance of the season so really bad timing from his agent. Not that there's really ever a good time to chat shite.

I dont think we should play Pogba against a high-pressing teams. Not as a starter at least.
