More bemused than angry to be honest. I never said getting the ball first guaranteed it's not a free kick. We all know a nasty tackle or excessive force when we see it. All i said was the commentator interpreted the situation incorrectly, which he did. Obviously in a gentle tackle where he played the ball first the fact that he touched the player with the follow through shouldn't make it a free kick. I think that's a fair point.

I can't be expected to write some long explanation ruling out all the different contexts such as excessive force etc to stop pedantic shites making comments in response. We were all watching the game and could see the incident.
I never once said you were wrong when it came to the booking Lukaku got. I think you misunderstood me what I initially wrote as some of sort post challenging you or whatever when I just intended to bring some information. My bad if it offended you.

First of all, middle finger to your attitude. Is it so terrible to care and root for human beings over a brand? Not that i ever said i cared more about Martial's success than United's.

Second. Developing our best talent isn't in the interest of the club? If you aren't going to do it, then why not just sell him now while he's young and has value, put a bunch of clauses and make money or buy him back later. I think that would be a far more profitable outcome for the club than the path we are headed currently which is a transfer request and a disgruntled player if he keeps getting benched after performing well.

Our football is miles away from where City and Chelsea are, and we are only playing weaker opponents. A win is a win i agree, and i'm always happy our manager has delivered a win as is expected of him. But so far performances against two mid table opponents in Stoke and Southampton, has hardly left me filled with confidence. You can't build domination, by being afraid to lose. That's the difference between Pep and Mourinho. Why Mourinho only wins 1 in 3 yrs. and implodes.

I'm sure all the top teams praise their LW praise for doing nothing offensively, but hey at least he can track back... Cause this whole time we've been playing football all wrong. Attackers should be valued more for their ability to defend, than create goal scoring chances...
This is a terrible post, you are not a United fan you are a Martial fan boy.
Away at Stoke and Southampton are not gimmi games , they are difficult away games and 4 points from them is excellent, so what if Chelsea hit 4 post them, so what if City won an easy home game, points are all that matter, we have 3 more that Chelsea and are equal with City, all is good in my book.
So you think he should ask fir a transfer just because he is not played each and every game , that is pathetic, he has to earn his place and Rashford is ahead of him.
Why sould the defender who's tackle save a goal or the keeper who makes a WC save valued any less than the attacker who scores goals.
Your post is more suited to the United Facebook page , they will love it.

A whole lot of words for very little. How does hoping Martial leaves benefit Man United? Why would I care more about Martial as a person or Rashford? You don't give a feck if Rashford isn't playing. Call it what it is. An irrational love for a person you will never know.
I actually want to see Rashford playing too. Just not as a LW. Cause he's terrible there. Don't have to use a lot of words to express how much better Martial is than Rashford at the LW, watch the game or look up some stats. I don't care who the player is, just the fact that our starting LW sucks and there's a better one always on the bench.

Isn't an irrational love what being a fan is all about? We root for a money guzzling billion dollar brand. Are you ever going to know any of the players, coach, or management? No, yet you are still passionate fan like me. I just try to use my brain sometimes, and disagree with your point of view. You haven't even resorted to arguing why Rashford should start at the LW, and your knee jerk reaction is to go for an ad hominem. Such hypocrisy, when its actually you saying a lot of words that mean nothing.

When did it become a crime to root for a young talented player on your team. Is it cause he's not an overrated English player? Whom i also excited about, just not in the position he's deployed in.

You can draw conclusions based on performances to extrapolate which teams are playing well and which teams will struggle. We've dominated bottom half of the table at home and struggled against two mid table sides away. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who's playing better right now between United, City, and Chelsea. Nobody wins anything in September (i'm glad we are off to a good start) but i'm more interested in the progression of our team to consistently execute and deliver results.

The point is not that i don't value defending, i actually value holding midfielders over any other position. If a defender is a lethal finisher but sucks as a defender, i will still criticize and say the defender sucks, because that's not what you value more from that position. Same thing with Rashford. You don't need a good defensive LW. But when you play two slow midfielders for some unknown reason, you start having to compensate the balance. When the decision is to sacrifice offense for defense, just to fit a group of players together, that's when you tend to have poor performances like you see today. Jose is far more of a Fellaini and Rashford fanboy, that i'll ever be of Martial.

Yes, glad to see we got it. Lucky to do so but the points were needed.

As I stated earlier would have liked a second for a cushion. They had chances to draw level we squeaked it out though.
    I won't argue there. It's a good three points.

Thank you! Would have got back with the comment 'Let us talk again later when we have faced the teams from the top 6" except for the fact that I love Manchester United more than just proving myself right. So, I won't do that. I wish good day to you, Sir and hope that we may have a decent conversation sometime in the future!
We will, I have no doubt. Best wishes. :)
