6 points dropped across the last three games- it's not fecking good enough.

we have to get defenders and pace into the side during this transfer window, it's that or we will slip out of the top four again.

Hope we buy winger... There is no pace in our team.. Our strikers are also slow and lose the ball too much.

Poor performance from the team we seemed lethargic and slow in play. Now Valencia and young are injured we can now easily revert to a back 4 at the with rafael and shaw.

You newbies are having a mare, draw away to stoke is a positive result.
We should be winning this type of game as they're just Stoke but I'm not shocked or too disappointed we didn't win. The negativity is too much though.

Ah just realised that there is a missing page in LvG's philosophy book... how to win a fecking away game.

Exceptionally lucky to get a draw, they had better chances and should have had pen. Why can't we create any chances, it's beyond a joke.

Also, ppl talking about we're "looking good for third place" can feck right off. Arsenal win today and they're right back up our buttholes. Even the wankers from Scousepool are improving.

I remember when people were warming up to the idea of Januzaj playing as an attacking midfielder in place of Mata. The boy has regressed so much it's unreal.

Rooney isn't a center mid , his distribution is awful even if he puts in a shift. He becomes 10 times more effective when he plays closer to the opponent box rather than orchestrating the game (which he rarely does).

3-5-2 is a shit system but what can you do when players are trading injuries and you can never have a full squad to pick from.

Seriously though , Injuries are killing us. All our new summer signings are either injured , not fully fit or just coming back to fitness. The only solution to this is spending even more in the January window which considering we spent a 150M previously sounds depressing.

We're still in good position for 3rd-4th so there's that and our Home form is excellent. Not a lot of positives from this game but atleast we held them to a draw in shit conditions.

Our best dribblers today were a confidence shot Januzaj and Young. That's not good enough for United.

We are so slow it's painful. We need Di Maria and Nani back. Speed and unpredictability. Yes these players can be wasteful but I'd rather watch that than this boring nonsense.

I think Mata did well today, way better than Wayne, though. He just lacked service due to our defenders who aren't able to pass the ball to midfield.

I honestly don't know what the solution is. Our performances have again dropped and again we looked average and nowhere near City or Chelsea .

Not the result, the pathetic performance is the issue here. Players looked like mildly intoxicated...
We controlled the game, the quality from our goalscorers just isn't coming, we had chances both Tottenham and today to score and we didn't.

I said that in the 'We're going to win the title' thread and was attacked for it.
We are a long way behind City and Chelsea.

This is what Stoke pay season's ticket to watch every weekend. All the games at Brittania are always hard to watch

Yet Smalling is playing well for the most part. For that Diouf chances he got bullied (the same as at Villa) and that has nothing to do with the wind.
it's basic defending and he can't get it right.

it's not hard to anticipate the flight of a ball with wind behind it, especially for an experienced professional. f**king hell, even defenders at district level can manage it.
Look, I am not defending Evans here and i do agree he is the worst of our lot. But when Its extremely windy and when the attacker has the advantage of getting the ball ( facing towards the ball), flight of the ball will be confusing. So today wouldn't be a best day to judge our defenders( for that matter entire team). Our defenders did a better job when the wind was in our advantage.

Its a shit ground to go and i will party the day they are relegated. We always seems to play them when its windy. still remember Charlie Adams flighted shot

Januzaj really needs a loan spell to help him improve because i feel at the moment when he comes on the pitch it's like we're down to ten men, i have a lot of faith in the lad for the future but at the moment he's just too much of a risk when we're chasing points to secure a top four place

I really don't understand people who are moaning here and everywhere on this forum ATM.

This is one of the hardest places to go. And there was so much wind that if you would build a wind turbine in middle of the stadium it would produce enough energy for the whole town. TBF we were lucky to escape with a point.

Subs where exactly the same as most of people here wanted. I can understand all subs. Shaw is probably not ready yet for 90 min, Falcao was tired and we got more control in midfield with Herrera who played very well and Young got injuried.

Yes it is fustrating that we didn't get 3 points but it is not a bad result.

For those who keep saying Evans needs a run of games, how many more games do you think he needs? He looks worse everytime.Herrera should start every game when fit,Januzaj on the left and Young on the right should never happen again.Of the starting players only Smalling,Carrick and Mata come away with any credit, the rest were a dissapointment,Herrera did more in a few minutes than all our forwards did all game

A point at Stoke in our current state is good and during the hectic Christmas schedule. Our attack did not contribute enough today, but I'm quite happy overall and we'll be third by the end of the day no matter what.

Some of the criticism is over the top but I'm not just basing what I think of him on this one game, he hasn't been good for most of this season.

Stoke away (especially on a cold, wet and windy day) is always a tough place to go. 10 games now undefeated with injury problems. However, having said that, today was a very tepid effort, defensively shaky, too much long ball and hoofing.

The attack couldn't do much tbf, with such awful supply. The supply was half bad decisions, half wind though.

The had some great positioning and runs, which looked promising, and perhaps would have been more dangerous on a proper ground.

Controlled the game? That's a stretch. Stoke had more goal scoring opportunities than us. Spurs was another matter and not the game in question here.

If you want to start mata should also have herrera starting as they make our forward play so much better
That is the unfortunate thing, they do combine well. However, Juan has had to play all three games over Christmas and Ander has been injured, so wouldn't have started today. Hopefully Juan will get a rest against Yeovil, Ander will play and they both play against Southampton next weekend.
