    Romero
    Tuanzebe Lindelof Blind
    Darmian McTominay Carrick/Herrera Shaw
    Lingard Rashford Martial

Rashford should be the only one of that lot to start next weekend but presumably Lindelof and Herrera will still be needed.

I'd be happy to see Lindelof play, it would give him the chance to play himself into form in a game that isn't key.

Elsewhere as others have said rest any player who needs it. A freshening up of the team and a break for some of the ever-presents sounds like a win-win to me.

If i see players who should be rested anywhere near first team let alone first XI, i might flip out, probably get banned at the end.

Having a team plagued with injuries just two months in two the season while fit players being knackered already, an elimination from the League Cup could be a blessing in disguise...

It's a tough call as with injuries we can't rest as many as liked and no one is going into this in form out of the forwards. I think Valencia, Matic and Smalling will definitely be rested but I'd play Lindelof, get him straight back on the horse.

No important first team players should be playing this. Can't risk anymore injuries.

No way Rashford is starting this one, he is on the verge of an injury - you know it's coming.

Want the likes of McTominay and Tuanzebe to get gametime here so that Matic and Smalling are kept fresh.

Tuanzebe has shown much more than Lindelof in the first team outings tbh.

Also Shaw should start this game with Mitchell as winger if possible.

We could do without this match, Jose never plays a complete reserves 11 so i think he wont be throwing this game away buy playing complete reserve side like fergie used to. I hope he plays Victor lindelof just to check his temperament, Jones bailly or smalling should not play. Blind, darmian, rashford, mctominay should all play.
I hope this should be the line up-

    De gea

    Darmian
    Lindelof
    Tuanzebe
    Blind

    Herrera
    Mctominay

    Mkhi
    Mata
    Lingard

    Rashford/martial

I think he might play Lukaku so as to get his confidence back in case he scores before spurs.

Mourinho is not the type of coach that will rotate much with 6/7 U23s fielded.

He thinks that playing some regular starter with 3 o 4 usual subbed will provided the correct balance.

It’s a risk as I think that our team is tiring a bit, muscular injuries are starting popping here and there also.

And don’t forget that Swansea are a good team and since we lost pathetically on Saturday they’ll be firing at us.

Hope below team 4-2-3-1 to rest a maximum of our players for Saturday and Spurs

    Romero

    Darmian
    Lindelof
    Blind
    Shaw

    Herrera or Carrick if fit
    Mc Tominay or Tuanzebe

    Lingard
    Mata
    Martial

    Rashford

Is Tuanzebe fit? Cos if he is he's gotta be starting ahead of Lindelof.

    . Romero
    .Darmain Taunzebe Blind Shaw
    . Herrera Mctominay
    . Lingard Mata Young
    . Martial

That's the side i'd play. Maybe even get some youngsters in from the under 23 side for the second half. Take off Herrera, Mata and Young at 45 mins, regardless of the score.

Apparently Swansea will make lot of changes,

We’ll reflect on this and then I’ll think about the side for Tuesday,” Swansea manager Oaul Clement said.

“I think based on some of the performances, not just today but going back eight or nine games, it’s time for some other players to have some opportunity. So I’m thinking about doing that on Tuesday.”

...Why? How will that serve us? He'll just make more mistakes.
So, you don't want to Lindelof because he may make mistakes?
Does that mean you would never play him again....because he may make a mistake?
Huddersfield was a good game for him to play, becasue their attackers have been poor all season (scoring 1 goal in 7 games, or something like that). Unfortunately those attackers were still too good for Lindelof.

This could be a good game for him to play in, as Swansea aren't too great and the game should be easier than a standard EPL game, where every point matters.

Pretty much. I have zero faith in him. I don't even want to risk going out of the league cup because of him. I doubt he'll suddenly turn around and put in a great performance a few days after a terrible one. Let him play for the reserves or go on loan or get sold, I don't care.

Jose has hard choices to make. If United lose this one, the media will start to talk about United being in a crisis and will put Jose and the team under serious pressure. So, he should play a good team capable of getting a result.

But if he doesn't rest enough players, he will run the risk of other injuries and fatigue for the Spurs game. Not winning it will be worse than losing vs Swansea.

Came to say the same. Plus another poor result going into Spurs isnt going to help.

How about we play LB as LB, RB as RB etc. Wouldnt that be nice.

    Romero

    Darmian/Young - Axel - Lindelof - Blind - Shaw/Mitchell

    ------------------------- McT - Ander -----------------------

    ------------------------- Mata/Lingard ----------------------

    -------------------- Rashford - Martial -----------------------

Edit: Let me edit this crap.

I don't think so. Playing a weakened line-up and losing a competition we won last season is not going to faze him a bit. The important thing is to rest Matic and Lukaku.

This is one game that he won't be arsed about winning or losing. But I hope it doesn't mean the players turn up with that mentality.
