He is fit, but probably not likely to start as he hasn’t played any football since before Christmas.
Yeah but imo this should apply to all the players. None of them has played for 3 months. Fred is not the Fred 3 months ago, Matic is not the Matic 3 months ago etc. The pre Covid form is pretty irrelevant now I think.

So imo it's down to what they show in the recent training sessions. Who give the best will be picked. The only guys who watch them training are Ole and the coaches.

Jose has been trying to get the spurs lads back training since about a week into the lockdown so they may have worked on park the bus tactics for the last few months....

On a more serious note I think with a fully fit team they are still a genuine threat and they’ll be happy to let all the buildup talk be about how United will fit all their stars into the lineup. I’m hoping this is early season form Kane and we can come away with the 3 points. We were so lucky to take the points last season and while I don’t think they are quite at that level anymore It’s still our toughest match. If we can pick up points here and at Leicester we’ve a great shot at CL qualification.

Have a feeling it may be fittest team wins.

Every team in the league should be fitter than a Mourinho team. This congested end to the season could be dire for Spurs and Mourinho - though getting a 3 month break during their awful run was a godsend

I hope Ole shows the boys the entire Arsenal performance from yesterday and tells them anyone showing that lack of professionalism, commitment or work ethic will not play again for the rest of the season.

We must at all costs start the game at a high tempo. A bit rusty/messy is probably inevitable, but we need to play aggressive football at a high intensity early on. That's always the way to beat a Mourinho team.

I expect Bruno and Pogba to start - a sign from Ole to say I want you both playing, but if it's not working, one of you will be taken off.

Question is who plays with them. I want to say Fred, but got a feeling McTomminay will get picked (fine with either)

I fear Spurs might be ahead in their preparations because they've been flouting the rules.

If they play together I’d say ole still goes conservative and sticks Bruno on the right or curbs pogbas runs forward big time. Our victories in these matches is nearly always based on having a hardworking midfield and getting the ball forward in one or two passes

FFS I honestly thought the game was tonight, and planned my whole day around it - but its tomorrow!

yep - always an advantage to be a step ahead of Jose and the bus. Put the initiative back on him.

@Niall Seems like we only pick three subs still in the lineup predictions. Is this going to be updated?

We came flying out of the traps at the beginning of the season. Banged 4 past Chelsea.

Hoping for a similar story after this restart. Ole demands a lot of running from his players, so this might play into our hands. Fingers crossed.

I reckon it'll be the same 4-2-3-1 that Ole usually likes when everyone is fit. But with Bruno at #10 instead of Lingard/Pereira.

    Martial
    Rashford---Bruno---James
    Pogba--McTominay
    Shaw--Maguire--Lindelof--AWB

An Illusion. While we did win 4-0 we could just as easily have lost that game.

Not confident. A shame because before the lockdown, Spurs were in dire form.
Hope our boys are on it.

    Missed his smiling face

Hope we come out the blocks firing, but the closer this game comes the less confident I feel, mainly because fitness generally isn't a factor in Mourinho tactics. For instance, we ran less than any team in the league, or very close, under him which I feel gives him an advantage.

0-0 at half time and I'll be biting my nails, grab an early goal and we will thrash them.
Must win game, come on lads. Oleeeeeeee,s at the wheel

I sense a 1-1 draw. Hope we win though. Not expecting us to attack that well after such a long break.

I understand why people are nervous, Christ knows I am too but I honestly think if you remove the nerves we are likely to win this comfortably. Mourinho is a terrible manager and they just aren’t the same team they were whilst we are massively on the up. I’m predicting 3-1 Utd.

Jose did not automatically become a world class manager again after leaving us in a shit heap. We're exactly the type of team he couldn't beat when he was managing us. Not worried at all for this match. We have a squad of players that are united and happy with the manager. I'm sure Jose is having a peach of a time with the Spurs squad. They will continue to rot from within with him in charge.

I'm expecting 3-1 or 3-0. Can't see this being anything other than a walkover. Rashford against Aurier has got the potential to turn David Luizs display yesterday into a masterclass

Important to note that Son has only just got back from his month long military service stint in Korea.

He'll probably be the fittest, leanest player on the pitch. I expect him to be a big threat.

Ole has been beaten by far worse managers.

Huge game for us, let's hope we are up to it physically. I think we'll be the most dangerous team out there, Pogba starting or not. Fred and McTominay were huge against them last time, hopefully Matic maintain his form too. We won with Young (who made a mistake for their goal) and Lingard, we can do it better now.
