If United manage to win this evening it will be mainly for two reasons 1) the players collectively rolling up their sleeves and proving they are better than that embarrassing display last Sunday 2) Spurs just happen to be more shite than United have been this season.

Sancho has to start. And VDB too, right? Or at least play. No excuse

It would not surprise me if he went once again with Fred and Mctominay, and Maguire kept his place.

I think Ole would probably make one or two changes, but wouldn’t be anything drastic, because,
    1. If the stories that came out about players confronting Ole and other teammates after the Liverpool match are true, then no way Ole would trust these players to not throw him under the bus.
    2. It would not be smart to start playing players who haven’t really had many first team minutes, and especially under these circumstances and the high pressure.
    3. Ole is stubborn and probably will be trying to make a point and also he would want to put out a team that he trusts the most, especially when his future will be determined after the next three matches.

I think we’ll see Cavani for Greenwood, and Matic and Fred in the middle. Maybe AWB or Shaw will be dropped if Ole feeling extra adventurous, but I can’t even see that happening..

One of Fred and McT will be dropped and he will play Matic instead of the one dropped. No chance in h3ll he drops slab head.

I cant accept this, no matter what I never want the team to lose.
I want Ole gone just like most on here.
Had this discussion here before, no matter how pissed off with United and I am pissed off with them , never want them to lose, do I expect them to win , in all honesty no I dont, I think Spurs will beat us.
Don't think for a moment I like seeing us losing. I've been supporting this club for 30+ years and currently we're going nowhere with Ole. Losing puts more pressure on the board to find his replacement and find it quick. The club can still turn things around if it acts quick enough to secure a better manager.
Failure to act may result in us falling further down the table. If we make mid table teams like Leicester and European minnows Young Boys look like prime Barca under this guy then how on earth are we meant to get consistent results to get anywhere near winning the league neverminded securing top 4 position.
It will be another few years of there or thereabouts if we persist with Ole.
Apologies for the rant but losing against Tottenham will apply the needed pressure on the board to act.

    Tough game.
It's all about bouncing back and Ole will want to see a reaction.

    I'll be optimistic
I think if we can keep it solid we can get a draw. Maybe even come away with all 3 points...
We have enough matchwinners in the team.

If we play to form however we'll lose.

I’m glad I’m missing this game today which is probably the first time I’ve said that since the near the end of Jose’s tenure. What I’m expecting Ole to field:

    Starting XI

    De Gea

    Wan-Bissaka - Varane - Maguire - Shaw

    McTominay - Fred

    Greenwood - Fernandes - Rashford

    Ronaldo

subs: Henderson, Dalot, Lindelof, Van De Beek, Matic, Sancho, Lingard, Martial, Cavani

Score Prediction: Tottenham 4-0 Manchester United

    I wpuld go with:

    DDG
    AWB-Lindelof-Varane-Telles
    Matic-VdB
    Sancho-Fernandes-Rashford
    Ronaldo

    subs: Cavani, Lingard, McT/Fred

Ole will propably go with max 1 change...

I have fairly consistently been relatively optimistic about our chances to win a given game the last few weeks, was strangely sure we would beat the Scousers just because we really needed it for a number of reasons.

So I will predict a Spuds win, I couldn't ever imagine *expecting* to lose to them, but I think a lot of us are leaving that way anyway.

A good win for us and maybe the mood starts lifting.

Give Donny a run, what harm at this stage?

    3-1 Spurs.

I meant a walkover for us  Spurs is generally a tough game but everyone talking like we'll beat them with ease even after our recent results.
They are favourites but what I mean by walk over is wiping the floor with us. It will be a low scoring game.

Funny how our team lineups always go full circle. Several of those players in your line up have been ripped apart on here and called not good enough. But now we'll be looking to them to pull us out of this hole because they work hard.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

Yeah I expect the same. I haven't watched them once under Nuno so just not sure what to expect from them today.

Think we'll nick it as the law of averages means we surely can't drop points in yet another game. City, Chelsea and Arsenal us where I think we'll drop points.

Think we'll win this and everyone will be saying he is great. The players and co will be fully up for it and know they have to turn up with a performance so expect them to play like beats as they usually seem to when Ole is in danger

We’ll win 2-0 or 3-1 and the pressure will vanish from Ole with another win vs Atalanta.

    It’s just classic clutch-version Ole.

I think he will start Sancho due to media pressure. Possibly also DvdB.

He’s not going to bow to any sort of external pressures. If anything he might listen to his squad and play those they believe are deserving.

Agree. And while I'll be very happy if we win, the Olesexuals better stay in their box about an Ole masterclass unless they have no shame.

If most of the players play like shit the Ole must have lost the dressing room. What the players said in interviews don't matter. Of course they're not gonna call him out in public.

Nuno has been in a job for only a few months and they’re above us in the table. I don’t see him getting sacked anytime soon
Nuno called out his players already
We are a poor team but they are just as bad and with worse players overall. We’ll defo win today.

I think people are underestimating how bad Spurs are. They’re hopeless.
Before the LCFC match, which we lost 4-2, LCFC had scored 1 point from 12 or something similar.
Many people on this forum predicted us to easily win that match.
Aston Villa are not great - we lost to them.
So, no matter how bad our opponents, we can make them look good and give them 3 points.

Remember when in 2019/2020 Ole had Tottenham and City in 2 consecutive games? And people said that Jose and Pep would destroy him and he would be sacked.
History is about to repeat itself.
    Ole's at the wheel, guys.
    Is this a wind up?
