I want us to play this formation:

    -----------------Rashford-----

    Sancho ------ Eriksen -------Bruno

    -----------Fred-------- Casemiro--

If we can't get enough goals, might as well dominate the game.

Or probably with this, if we can get that Liverpool's game out of the system:

    -----------------Rashford-----

    Bruno------ Eriksen -------Antony

    -----------Fred-------- Casemiro--

They won't. There's no point in playing Championship football next season for a decent EL run.
If they don’t then the games pile up behind them. It’s ok saying have to go all out v United but they have a European semi final next week followed by two games v Leeds and Leicester.
Personally I don’t think there was an illness v City and a few were rested then instead of now but they’ve lost three in a row now while conceding a lot which is already a sign of tiredness.
This is their 4th game in 11 days which is ridiculous for any team and they’ve been constantly playing Thu-Sunday before that as well.
I don’t think they will rotate but it’s not nailed on that they don’t. He might even think rotation would be the best way to get a result today since playing tired players isn’t the best idea.

Will be a 1-0 win for WHU. Our away form is awful + The pressure on the players not to bottle top 4 will be too great, I really don't trust them to get through this after the last couple of months.

Mentality test. Let's see if these players can muster the nerve to do their jobs or will they break under the pressure once again.

    I've done may maths.
If we win this we have one 90% chance of top 4 finish. If we loss we only have 60% chance.

I'd go Maguire in this with Lindelof, move Shaw to left back and keep AWB at right back.

We're looking so inept of attack from our wing back position without Shaw, and I feel Maguire may be useful against Antonio.

    I can't believe I'm saying that.

Maguire has never looked useful against Antonio. We need to keep Shaw in the middle, he's the only one who comes close to what Martinez offers playing out from the back.

It will be tough, always their cup final.

But we should have enough, just.

No Martial, he was useless last game. Plays like he is made of glass without any sort of intensity.

Start Weghorst, he will press effectively and open up space for Rashford and Antony.

Maguire and Lindelof as cb pairing. Maguire can deal with set pieces, Shaw back at lb.

Weghorst is useless. So is Martial, but at least his link up play is somewhat serviceable at times.

Wout has good link up play, that is one of his strengths. He also can play a through ball.

Last game against West Ham Garnacho was motm, Weghorst runner-up with an assist.

Martial does not deserve a start.

Starting Weghorst is never the answer, regardless of the question. If Martial is deemed not good enough (a fair assessment, really) then we have to find some other solution that doesn't involve Weghorst. We could, for example, play with 10 men - roughly the same as using Wout.

Martial/Garnacho if we need to find a goal. Fred if we need energy. Maguire if we're defending deep late on. Weghorst if we're taking the piss.

    Me neither.

I’m glad you’re not picking the team

I’d argue it’s better because we never pass the ball to Wout when he’s not on the pitch.

My source says Big Sam will be attending and have a wine with Fergie after the game.

1 draw and 7 defeats in away games against the top half and 19 wins 5 draws and 1 defeat in the rest of the league games this season (all home games and away against the bottom half). We'll be fine today. Although I do think we are turning Into the Lukaku of the Premier League. Flat track bully's

I’m glad garnacho is back. Massive threat off the bench to stretch the game and run at tired players.

Not counting City or Liverpool because they weren't expected to win either of those games anyways. Outside of those games their last 3 were 2-2 Arsenal, 4-0 Bournemouth and the 4-3 loss to Palace. Plus the conference league 4-1 win. Even in the City and Liverpool games they looked a lot better than they were earlier in the season. I'd have preferred to face them in February than now.
I agree, they've won every match that they've not lost or drawn. Some form they're in.

Why wouldn’t you count them? Those two games means the game today has come at a ridiculous turnaround for them as well.
And they were at home to Liverpool, they 100 percent would have expected some kind of result there against Liverpools away form.
look at the goals they’re conceding, they look out on their feet to me.
Saying that we could miss chance after chance against them, doesn’t mean they’ll win

We depend on Rashford t o score and we will need 2/3 goals to get over the line against West Ham.
Sancho and Antony need to step up to the plate and add some goals also. We will depend on these 2 along with Garnacho to add goals to their game in last few games.

Behave, Martial is comfortably more accomplished as a passer.

I would play Pellestri instead of Antony today. He can beat his man on the outside and cross the ball which Antony cant do. He can also chip in with goals.

:wenger: Why? Would be a terrible result. We need to win 3 of 5 games. We'd need to win 3 of 4 if we draw tonight.
No we wouldn’t. We’d need 2 wins and 2 draws. 3 of the games are at home to bottom half sides and the away game is Bournemouth.
