Bit harsh. You played well first half (Wolves goal came against run of play) and you've had 10 men for most of second half against excellent top half team.

Always a game where Man. United could've drawn or lost v 11 men.
Exactly. We're started the second half really well and I fancied us to go on and win the game. The red card made thay very difficult.

Wolves basically created nothing against ten men until the final five minutes when United were chasing the game. Their goal came from a lucky bounce and smalling falling into the ball

A lot of bad but I'm proud of McT's performance. Think he showed some fight

We’ll never win anything with this bunch of players, how the hell did Mourinho get us up to second last season with this lot?

And yet in 3 games against them we couldn't beat them once, the league table doesn't reveal everything
It certainly reveals that a team that is 14 fecking points behind us are not the better side.

Best part of being on the caf after a loss is being able to take my anger out on the player ratings:

    De Gea - 5
    Lindelof - 4
    Smalling - 4
    Young - 1
    Dalot - 5
    Shaw - 5
    Pogba - 3
    Fred - 3
    Mc T - 6
    Lukaku - 3
    Lingard - 1

Did miss the first 25 minutes though

Our recruitment post Fergie has been absolutely criminal. This is our level once ole mania died down and Barca are going to dismantle us over the 2 legs. Roll on the summer. The rest of the season could get very messy.
The decline in our recruitment standards started before SAF retired. He was just a miracle worker in a position of such authority that he got 110% out of the players.

Of course in terms of points you are right but when I made my initial post about me not seeing them how we'd be able to beat them, the league table didn't mean much. They just bring the right amount of intensity to deal with us.

Very intrigued to see what Ole says about this.

Some of these players are becoming very hard to like

    Barca must be laughing...

Only good point is we get a game without Young. Shaw and Mc T are the only 2 players that performed well.
Shaw was fecking shit, are you serious ?

Fcuk this club. I'm extremely close to being done completely. we're being shafted again next season squad wise, you just watch.....

Life's too short for this nonsense to take up days of my life.better things to do.
You're going to get absolutely battered for this
Certainly know the feeling though. It is what it is. Gotta sit back and hope for better days.

It’s been said a million times but it really did start when they sold Ronaldo without re-investing.

No truer words have been spoken. A club of United's size and we have had so many average players over the years, its shocking. I was hoping when jose came in that he would get rid of these useless players but no, that fecker made them his Fav players. F'ing joke, once again I hope that Ole gets rid of these clowns.
I’m just holding out on faith that the early appointment of Ole is to allow him to identify transfers now. Otherwise there was zero point in making the decision now.

I don’t think it’s outrageous to say we need 5 new players (I’d say more but trying to be somewhat realistic). However I won’t be holding my breath....

the very reason he's the manager,in the long run,is the exact opposite of that.

he's gonna be their fall guy yet again but this time,a fall guy the fans will be conflicted about turning against
I hope not. Needs backing like every new manager should be.

Ole's not shown enough aside a tactical counter attack to be given the job. We are not an attacking side because the players aren't being coached effectively to give us a platform to comfortably win games.

Fair enough it took Klopp and Pep some time to imbed their will, HOWEVER they always had a very clear directive on how they intended to play with their respective teams.

If solskjaer can be given a job in 4 months we as fans should be able to grasp what he wants moving forwards. Unfortunately for myself and probably 99% of the fan base, no one knows exactly what that is. This club and team are in dissaray. Di matteo mk 2, hope I'm proven wrong but doubt it.

That's the same thing. We missed them.

Wolves are owed a proper battering next season. Watch them roll over for the scousers last game of the season too
It really isn't the same thing. We didn't miss those chances, we failed to convert them due to our poor finishing that made their GK look world class.

Feck no, we never truly recovered after Bobby Charlton retired to Preston and Dennis fecked off to City, we had a decent run when some one called Fergie, or Ferguson took the job and I thought we had turned the corner but then for some unknown reason he went and retired and it’s gone a bit down hill from there.
Oh well this is proof if proof we’re needed that Pogba and Fred are NOT worthy of playing for this club, we need a brand new midfield starting with them two being fecked off, yes there are others who can feck off but them two are top of the list followed by Young. There are more but I think that’s enough ranting.
Ole I hope you have a decent shopping list ready but please get rid of the dead wood as well!

Are you on a wind up?

If I hit the ball straight at the keeper from six yards out I have missed a chance to score.

Failing to convert the chance is just another way of saying 'missed the chance'

Had I said 'missed the target' you'd have had a point.

In the scouting reports for Fred, I wonder if anyone pointed out that he has the ball control of a miniature Lukaku. You'd think that'd be a massive red flag for a central midfielder.

IMO only De Gea/Rashford/Martial/Shaw/Victor/Pogba/Herrera are starters and the rest should never be in the first 11 automatically. Sadly we have so many average players who are starters (FFS) its a joke.

There needs to be clear plan for this summer and not use the useless scatter gun approach we have used to get players in but I wouldn't even be surprised if the likes of smalling/jones/young/lingard are starters for us next season. Don't really have any faith in Woodward, we'll most likely chase a injury prone Bale and forget about where we need to strengthen.

    Not at all outrageous....

7 would not be deemed an overreaction. Especially now that I think both Mata and Herrera are going.

In my opinion...or if this was Football Manager, within 2 years I'd have two thirds of this squad jettisoned.

    this makes no sense

Losing the ball is losing the ball, anyone can lose the ball. Missing a goal like that is a fecking travesty.
    Whatever floats your boat genius.

You see strikers miss chances every fecking week. How often do you see midfielders lose balls like that? Never mind a 50m+ player.

Just one of those games. Result could have went either way. Much better then the shite we produced in the cup - where we should have tried. Tonight we helped in our own downfall by not caring enough about protecting our area. I want to see De Gea smack that ball up field because wolves press, and any mistake and they're straight away in our final third with a shot on goal likely. Just clear it properly and play from the back when you've a comfortable lead and everyone has confidence to play. We were as good I think as that team we put out was. We should have won but were quite poor and now we have to move on to the next game. The sending off didn't really see much of a change so it goes to show that with eleven we should have done better second half. Just weren't our night.

We need a new CB every time we lose. It will be the same if we get a 100M CB this summer
We need someone who can bring calm and composure, as well as authority and skill. We don't have this.

Buying a new CB won't stop us from losing, but it will cut down on these clusterfeck performances.

Hate to say it, but pool struck utter gold with VVD.
