Sopranos went on one series too long, was decent but didn't end on a high for me. The Wire I thought was just getting ridiculous towards the end, the complete opposite to how it started out.

I think playing on semi pro is the best way to get a lot of the achievements, as you can only get bronze ones on amateur and they're easy enough anyway. Some of the gold class ones look ridiculously tough.

It's normally just a free for all I guess, not like we're full up. You can see from the club screen who is online so can just ask people to join up if you fancy a game.

You don't have to use your pro like that, can just control the whole team and set him up yourself etc, you still get the achievements and stuff. Think I sent an invite to James Parkin as well, did you not get it?

It's normally best to do the story missions as soon as they pop up so you don't get stuck like that. Gives you time to collect different weapons / drinks etc if you are struggling as well.

What formations do you use with United? I think I'm just shite at this, struggle to score on World Class mode in a lot of games, never mind Legendary. Tried several different things but the default 4-4-2 seems better than anything I try.

I found the game I was thinking of, it was called Gravity Power and it was freeware. I think the one I had was a freebie off an Amiga Power magazine but played it to death with mates. Good example of how simple yet addictive some games were.
