  1. Manchester United vs Newcastle United (FA Premier League)

Good selection, very probable, plus Mata & Wilson impact subs, Fellaini pitch time if over illness. There's possibly an argument for Blackett or preferably Rojo if fit for Evans who was inefective against Benteke today, and culpable for the goal. Is that the last we see of Fletcher, for a...
  2. Manchester United vs Liverpool (FA Premier League)

Best post in this thread so far: big on facts, realism, down to earth Manc attitude. No abuse, fantasy island, or negativity. Respect to you sir!
  3. Arsenal vs Manchester United (FA Premier League)

Don't be too heavy on the lad, he's a delicate Piscean, and probably eleven and three quarters ;)But i too suffer irritable old owl syndrome and my only indulgence away from surnames is perhaps referring to Rooney as Wazza, or van Persie as RVP.
  4. Arsenal vs Manchester United (FA Premier League)

Wow! Almost exactly the team I just punted on the Line-up Predictor thingy after sussing the sick-bay - I favoured Blackett over Smalls. I hadn't really figured the formation. You show it as a 4-3-3 and it actually looks quite solid, and potent. But then you usually talk sense anyway! ;)
  5. Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (FA Premier League)

This is pretty much my thinking too. The first point is LvG preferring a left footer at LCB. Does anyone know if McNair & Blackett have played alongside each other before? Possibly more often than alongside Carrick, eh? Of course a flexible option might be for Carrick to step back between them...
  6. Manchester United vs Everton (FA Premier League)

The other youth player to potentially come in, especially with Wilson injured, might be Keane. With Blackett returning, at least to the bench, Keane might be more useful than Thorpe, amongst the youngsters. Undoubtedly in the absence of Herrera it is Pereira & Januzaj we'd expect to feature at...

  8. Leicester City vs Manchester United (FA Premier League)

That's only ever happened once before for an away team afaik in the EPL; L'pool @ Newcastle. But you'd remember our famous European Champion Clubs' Cup preliminary round first leg away match, eh? ;)
  9. Manchester United vs Queens Park Rangers (FA Premier League)

Au contraire! Notwithstanding the injury to Jones which makes him starting the match vs QPR seem a lot less likely, and Smalling yet to return from injury, the squad is arguably now more suited to 3 at the back with the addition of new players for whom the system is familiar, i.e. Rojo & Blind...
  10. Manchester United vs Queens Park Rangers (FA Premier League)

Defence. I see two things, formation & personnel. LVG will stick with 3 at the back until he's tried the new signings, and at the very least to save a little face. If Jones and Smalling are both out that leaves Evans, Rojo & Blackett but; can Rojo play centrally, Blackett on the right, or can...
