Could anyone please explain to me why Ten Hag substituted Casemiro out for useless-in-middle-McTominay when defense was needed, while keeping the number of attackers? Why not increase the number of midfielders and defenders to maintain the scoreline?

Well, that's what I want to say. We lost control, so we was so vulnerable against their counter attack. You can not say you control the game, while you can not defend from the midfield.

It's understandable when you are behind and must go all out for an attack. The numbers usually fool us. Scott's terrible positioning awareness really made us lose the midfield in the second half , thus leading to poor defending and conceding goals.
