  1. Official: Phil Jones will leave United at the end of the season

Agree with all that, great post. For the folks arguing that he should have left, the obvious answer is why? And would you do the same in his position? He’s working his backside off trying to get fit to do his job and has the best medical science at his disposal to help him. Why would he harm...
  2. Club Sale | It’s done!

Best post of the thread. And I’m yelling domino
  3. Alternative MUFC Commentary

It’s not healthy to be this triggered by light hearted comedy vids.
  4. Why is our passing so garbage?

Agree with that fully. For anyone willing to pay attention to the actual football and not just lap up the United soap opera, this is clear for weeks. Erik has obviously recognised this and played to our strengths as well as he can. Clear example is the Barca 2nd half. We were being controlled...
  5. Chris Smalling | Roma player

I get your point but I think as it’s such an exception for English then it’s good to praise him. Perfectly decent player for us and I’m glad to see him find a home. Go on Mike.
  6. Everton vs Manchester United

The bigger crime was whoever passed it to him then with a man already on his back and hardly any options. Anything other than perfect and we’re in trouble. Awful pass
  7. Gary Neville

Absolutely agree and have thought the same. I could be way off the mark here but have thought that he's simply uninformed on politics and being such a public champion of the Starmer team because he (rightly) can't stand the Tories but (wrongly) has no idea of the evils he's supporing and...
  8. Gary Neville

Morgan has experience in shameless self promotion. While his position during covid was remarkable, I will tip my hat to him there. Back to Neville, I see no excuse in working for Qatar, taking sponsorship from a betting company then acting all high & mighty when talking about deceny and morals...
  9. Eric Bailly - English players were favoured

For those insulting Bailly, have you actually read his quote? He’s actually rooting for United with his words about being lucky that Ten Hag has character.
  10. Antony | Here we go! €100mill, contract until June 2027, option 'til 2028.

100% this post. Is ridiculous when posters bring emotion and insults to it. If we’d have wanted Antony so much then we should have got our backsides into gear earlier when Ajax had proper time to sort a replacement. All power to Ajax here.
  11. The player(s) that are the hill you are prepared to die on?

Current team is Bailly & I still maintain that his best performances were better than Barry Maguire, Lindelof and Jones. Going forward I can see me liking Garnacho and Martinez. Love an Old Trafford Argie. Looking back, it was day 1 Ronnie, Anderson, Saha, Tevez, Rio, Evra, Berg & Johnsen.
  12. Our transfers rated - since 2013

    is surely the only explanation.
  13. Sir Jim Ratcliffe: I want to buy Manchester United | Will make a bid for the club [Telegraph]

Agreed. Cautiously optimistic. If there is real movement here and JR is a genuine option then he’s on the more digestible scale of billionaires. Even if I personally disagree with his worldview. Unfortunate reality of modern football is as you say where the only heads of big clubs are evil...
  14. Our transfers rated - since 2013

Decent summary apart from no idea how Maguire is amber when Pogba is red after being a big part of winning 2 trophies and being top scorer one season.
  15. Sir Alex, David Gill and Bryan Robson have been brought in to advise Richard Arnold on a wide range of club matters

How is this anything other than a sensible course of action? There’s nothing to suggest Fergie and Gill are making decision or Arnold is being subservient to them. Smart, self aware, people can use mentors and sounding boards to get different perspectives and still make their own decisions.
