Everton excellent so far, without Kean and Iwobi as well who I think will be quality signings for them and give them that bit of attacking talent that they were lacking.
I agree and with what they have already Bernard, Siggurdson should be a Goode season for them.

Even in those days, Man United and Arsenal didn't dominate like City and Liverpool currently do. Just think about their point total of last season for 1st and 2nd place.
Chelsea got 91 and 95 points in successive seasons, United had multiple seasons of around 90 points where they couldve got more if they were pushed more (but relaxed as they were significantly ahead). I dunno, I just think it's pretty much the same case as United/Chelsea dominating the league in the mid to late 2000's, but right now, it happens to be our 2 biggest rivals so it sucks for us.

Just feels like the rest of us are playing for second at this point doesn't it.
Probably how most clubs felt with Sir Alex as manager at United tbf. Cycles end, we just have to focus on ourselves and build a side that can compete because no team lasts at the top forever. Whether itll be Pep leaving, or the likea of Aguero and Silva leaving, or a combination of both (likeliest scenario), they'll drop down soon enough.

Maybe you are right. I don't remember much these days

Watford's awful form from the end of last season continues then. With the way Watford's owners operate, Javi Gracia will most likely be in the hot seat in a few weeks if performances and results don't pick up.

Hope you're right but I don't see it happening soon.

They just seem to go from strength to strength.

What's your thoughts on Liverpool's high defensive line tactic?
Depends on the opposition. I don’t think we’ll use it all the time but the risk - reward factor is more in our favour when you’re playing at home against a side not in the top six.

Our back line isn’t exactly slow so the recovery is easier if we get caught out, but I’d rather we don’t do that when we play Chelsea on Wednesday.

I hope you deploy it against us with James - Martial - Rashford as the front line. Or young Greenwood.

2 years ago Chelsea walked the title with City and Liverpool in 3rd/4th. The year before that, Leicester City wont the title. Things change so so quickly in football. Pep Guardiola and Klopp are undoubtedly brilliant managers, but it's nothing different to United under Sir Alex. We had a manager who knew how to dominate the league, just like they do now. The difference is ours was here for 27 years, while Pep has shown he doesn't tend to stay that long at the same club, and I can't see him staying that much longer at City. People said the same thing for Barca 10 years ago when they were dominant under Pep. They won the CL twice in 3 years and were unlucky the other year, but since he left, they've only won it once despite having the best player of all time with them.

City and Liverpool were dominant in the league last year, but as of yet, no club managed to win both the league and CL at the same time like Sir Alex did. United with Sir Alex in the first 9 seasons of the premier league won the title in 7 of those seasons. Also won it in 5 of his last 7 seasons. In both of those periods, we also managed to win both the league title and Champions League in one of those seasons as well. That's dominance, and it was brilliant for us, but just imagine what it'd be like for other challenging clubs. We're seeing a small sample of that now, but that's all it is, a small sample, because it sure as feck isn't going to go on to the same extent that Sir Alex managed.

Can’t see us winning today. Two goal line clearances already by Palace.

Billing looks a really good player, keeps it simple and seems good at the rough stuff.

One to watch this season I think

Bournemouth leading Sheffield Utd, Henderson makes a really good save but the rebound was smashed in.

All I can say is I bloody hope Kean and Iwobi hit the ground running. We need that extra firepower up front.

You sound more confident than most of us regards City's eventual fall from grace.

I get where you're coming from, football does indeed come in cycles, but with an already incredible squad and the practically unlimited finances with which to improve on it year to year, I can't see it ending very soon. But who knows, maybe you're right.

Wait referee isnt "air" with new rules? So if the ball hits a ref it goes straight to drop ball.
