This is the shit that pisses me off. You scored a goal and instead of trying to restart the game you decide to act like you are fexking mbappe.

Would have annoyed me more if he wasn't our best player all game.

If everyone else had the same energy level and urgency as him first half he'd have been celebrating that goal at 3 or 4-0 anyway.

Plus if the chance had fallen to anyone else they'd have either spooned it or just run aimlessly into the defenders.

Lads he’s playing for Man Utd. He’s probably still in shock that he’s even here. So what he celebrated? Was a cracking finish and the emotions just took over, I’m sure of that.

Decent talent and needs nurturing but why the feck did we buy him for the right wing? Bizarre.
Well said. If he carries on like this he will be the bargain of the season.
EDIT. He reminds me of Gordon Hill.

The celebration annoyed me when it happened, but I won't criticize him for it because at the end of the day, he did what none of our other players managed to do: put the ball in the back of the net.

We are such a banter club. Does James think this is arsenal? Similar to what Giroud did a while back.

Jeez he got lost in the moment and was clearly annoyed about being booked for diving a few minutes before.

His celebration was what? 5 seconds? Some over the top reactions here, remember where this player came from.

Jeez he should have done a lap of the pitch and wasted more time, might have saved us a point. If players aren’t allowed to celebrate, then honestly what’s the point of the game? It’s about passion and enjoyment.

We need to win the game and we have very little time to do so. There isn’t time to celebrate. This is the time to put more urgency and capitalise with another quick double.

We are not a small club that should be celebrating to clawed one goal and not think of getting the win. It’s one of the reason I would of preferred James to start as a bench player than a first teamer.

It wasn’t like he was doing backflips for 5 minutes, he celebrates in a matter of seconds.

The time gets added anyway. Again you just need to have a dig at the player.

You’re pissed that he celebrated a goal then even more salty because he doesn’t have the right mentality although he’s scored 2 in 3 games?

Hang on hang on, are people really criticising a 21 year old, 3 games into his United career for having the audacity to celebrate scoring what could have rescued us a vital point?

Great effort rushing to get it going after wasn't it! Probably take that point now wouldn't we!

Couldn't disagree more with the people putting his celebration down. You're all trying to suck the fun out of football. I'm really happy for the kid.

Rashford can tell other players to stop celebrating their goal when he’s not missing penalties

He had a fantastic game. I'm really excited about his signing. Great touch, lightning speed and good delivery. He's a really really good signing.

I don't think he should be slagged off for that celebration but I agree with Rashford's and Martial's reactions here. He should realize he's not playing for Swansea or Wales here, he just equalized a match at Old Trafford for Manchester United with little on the clock. Time shouldn't be wasted celebrating that goal because he just did the minimum of what we as fans and them as a team expected to do today and that there's still more left to be done.

No worries
If he'd celebrated a bit longer, like really milked it, Palace would've had less time to score the winner...

Also, he lost his dad 3 months ago - Celebrations are probably not "just" celebrations for him at the moment. Cut the guy some slack.

Cringe inducing.
We have become everything we mocked arsenal about and even worse. Have only finished above them once in since Fegie left.

Poor mentality from him regardless if it was only for 5 seconds. Its really embarrassing and shows what his priorities are.

It came across as odd at the time, at this club you don't celebrate at 1-1 at Old Trafford, you get the ball and run back. Yung n' learnin though... He'll be fine.

Well taken goal too!

The stick he's getting is laughable. Young inexperienced lad at this level letting a the moment get to him, he'll have learnt and won't do it again. Some of you lot are insufferable. Enough of this place for today.

He's a young player at a new club and scored a goal that should have got us a result. Should he be celebrating? No, but if it was me and I scored a belter in the top corner you better believe I would celebrate it too.

So James celebrating gets more stick than a palace player who took a full minute to walk off the pitch at the furthest possible touchline. Ok.

Great goal, but shit appart from that. He is a very limited player, he offers nothing more than pace. Should be entering as a sub, not good enough to be starting.

That got plenty of stick in the matchday thread, post-match and the state of refs threads, as did all their time wasting.

You're not likely to find that in the Daniel James thread.

People having a go at a young player because he dared to celebrate, ffs.
His third game for Manchester United, he’s not used to playing for a “big” club, has shown desire and ability when he was needed.
You people are nuts.
