Even if a deal is announced right now and he doesn't play for Sporting, there's no way he would have played on Sunday. He would have had no training sessions with the team.
Don't think any deal will be done until after tonight's game. He has to be registered by 12 noon today, to be eligible to play on sunday anyway.

I thought it was widely accepted now that SSN now have the same reputability as Daily Mail?
Every source is a reputable as each other now. If you want something concrete, wait until the club announce it.

Nah. It's still a pretty reliable source all things considered. It does matter who it reporting it though.

If he plays tonight he misses Liverpool game, yet that’s where we need him badly...
With our injuries the harsh reality is we very likely don't stand a chance with or without him, they've only dropped 2 points all season and that was against a healthier version of our team. As long as we get him sorted for Burnley, who we'll need all the help we can get breaking down, then I'll be happy.

Swimming against a tide of idiots and spoofers
Sporting's president has been through alot of pressure, because of poor decisions and management.
Selling our best player in the winter market is an awful decision and passes the message that this season goal's are forfeited.

And even financially it's hard to know if it's a good call, considering the Euro 2020 is coming and that can boost his value.

So i hope/dont think he's leaving on this market.
He only hasnt left yet because Woodward is a fecking idiot

Cheers.

So is this actual information or is he just reporting what he's reading? There seems to be some really conflicting reports right now.

I suspect after the Benfica game it'll all become clearer. If he flies straight over then great, but I have a feeling this'll go a few days longer yet.

I don't believe the sky reports as the info hasn't come anywhere else.
Everyone feels the same mate. We are all just following SSN sports centre atm and HOPING that it's all true.

Speaking of the transfer centre, this is what they're reporting their United correspondant, James Cooper, has said.
'FERNANDES WILL HAPPEN'

Bruno Fernandes'
proposed transfer to Man Utd appears to be in its final stages - and with Sky Sports News reporter James Cooper has been filling us in on all the latest for the Sporting Lisbon playmaker.

Cooper told the Weekend Preview podcast: “In terms of Bruno Fernandes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been pretty tight-lipped throughout this.

“I think they are certainly moving closer in terms of valuation. Sporting Lisbon want more than Manchester United are prepared to p'ay. We know about Marcos Rojo and Andreas Pereira being mentioned as options within the transfer but that’s not going to happen.

“Given that United have put all their eggs in one basket – it’s the only player they are talking to, it’s the only major deal they are trying to do - you’d be surprised if they couldn’t get that deal over the line.

“It will happen and I think Solskjaer will want that player in as quickly as possible to provide some sort of spark in the absence of the likes of Paul Pogba and also Scott McTominay.”

SSN. They reported that he would definitely play tonight and then fly over after the game and hope to be in the stand for game on Sunday. Go to Skysports latest transfer news and you will see it.

Is tonight game on any TV station in the UK?

Shows how reliable Sky are that they're saying he is the only player we are talking to the day after reporting Soumare is going to join either us or Chelsea in a couple of weeks.

Cheers lads, well this certainly seems to be a positive step. They must have been told something to come out with a report like this, let's hope he gets through the game fit and healthy :nervous:

If that price is accurate, in the current market, that represents a very good deal for an attacking player who carries such a goal threat. I'd be delighted with that.

I'm not so sure about that. I tend to trust the word of Sky Sports a little more than, say, The Sun, for instance. I don't think Sky resort to pure fabrication just to gain a few clicks, at least, unlike many other so-called reputable sources that need not be mentioned.

It is for the best Portuguese league player from last 2-3 seasons going by Sporting fans here. Hopefully those 17 million add ons are not simple ones that are based on matches and national team caps.
I was thinking the same about the add-ons but didn't post it in here for fear of upsetting the muppets who need their transfer fix. Hopefully the deal goes through now.

Don't let him watch us against Liverpool, he'll pull out of the deal

Free sports TV mate.
It will be painful viewing no matter where you watch it. Painful but comical. 750 million United fans holding their breath every time Bruno heads into a challenge tends to have that effect.

Imagine the uproar should be come out of the game with an injury.

That's simply not true. BBC and certain journalists are fairly reputable, obviously not has much as the football club itself, but it's obvious some journalists have inside information with certain club's activities.

Maybe we are talking to Lille and not Soumare?

I won't be watching, but will have my fingers and toes crossed until final whistle. In fact I will keep them crossed until he signs.

I think the main issue for most fans is we end up paying the asking price even after negotiations take weeks rather than days. Either pay up or walk away. Sporting aren't going to budge unless there is some form of clause in his contract to leave, which there isn't.
To be fair, haggling is much better than paying the full fee up front, especially when we're always ripped off so much. Not defending Woodward though, he seems all over the place
