So I've bought a ps5 and want to know the best tv for the graphics. I want to buy a 75inch 8k tv. I know oled is meant to be a better picture in general but very pricey. I know there is no 8k stuff yet for ps5 but there will be in time. My frontrunner at the moment is the Samsung QE75Q900TS. I'm confused with all the fps, 120 hz 4k, 60 hz 8k language.

LG CX 2021 model is pretty much identical to last years model. It’s the G1 version which has the brighter OLED panel, which they call 2nd Gen OLED panel. Then you have the Sony A90J, which along with the G1 are the TVs I am interested in. Just waiting to see how A90J is for gaming as G1 has 1ms input lag in gaming mode.

So if you going to spend £4k on a TV then maybe wait for the G1. A90J is going to cost around £7k, but by the end of the year it’s going to have the price dropped to like £5K.

8K TVs are pointless as @Bosws87 opinions on Xbox or gamepass. Just don’t bother because there’s no content in 8K, so you just buying a TV that’s going to have high input lag.

@Bojan11 do you agree

PS5 can’t even hit 4k for Hitman 3, so might as well stick with a “HD ready” tv

@esmufc07 has copied my post. This is just a disgrace what this little devil gets away with. Where are the mods?

@Solius stop killing the whole town in Hitman and sort it out.

Aren’t you taking that really long solo trip away soon? Definitely wouldn’t be weird if you suddenly stopped posting.

LG's have the best screens in the consumer market. Yet to see anything really outdo an OLED.

So a 4k oled probably LG? I just heard that ps5 will update to 8k at some point.
LG CX 2020 will be more than good enough for your needs.

You can wait for the G1, but that’s going to be out in a few months and cost more.

I reckon we will have to wait for the PS5 Pro in a few years for an 8k version.

As for the TV i went for a 55 inch (LGCX55). It is known and reviewed across the board as the best TV for the PS5. I LOVE my tv. They do it in a 65" and maybe bigger im not sure. But it was only £1400-1500 before Xmas and even with films the 4k is stunning.

The refresh rates are to do with the amount of time the Tv takes to respond to the ps5. So no flickering, instant images and no lag from what the PS5 processes to what appears on your screen.

I'll have a look at all the tests recommended on here so thanks all for that. I'm leaning towards an oled 4k with 2.1! But a 75 inch will be just as pricey if not more than the 8k samsung I mentioned previously I think.

What about the OLED77GX6LA? that looks nice but it's a bit more expensive than the cx

If you wait a few months because TV @Igor Drefljak linked will be cheaper as the 2021 version will be out soon. There’s no major difference between the two. I think it’s £3500 in some places. Could go further down maybe.

The GX77 2020 model is virtually identical to CX 2020 in terms of specs. GX is gallery model, which means it doesn’t come with a stand. So you will have to pay extra for that too.

G1 on the other hand will probably cost £5k or more minimum.

Cool it is between lg and samsung. So is this tv and the gx a better tv than the samsung QE75Q900TS. The qe75 will have a great picture and does have on 2.1 port but maybe oled should be the deal breaker I'm guessing. Plus the qe75 will be cheaper soon aswell. It has been between the qe75 and the gx so far.

I can’t comment on normal TV stuff like Netflix etc. But digital foundry said the CX was the best TV for gaming. RTINGs another reputable TV review site have it down as one of the best TVs on sale right now.

If there wasn’t a pandemic going on, I would tell you to go in a Currys to see how they compare. But nothing at the moment on the market compares to OLED picture quality.

They do have drawbacks and that is screen burn in. So no leaving Sky on pause for a while. If you leave stuff on pause or static for a long time then the Samsung will probably be better option for you. So consider that too.

Regarding the screen burn the LG tv has settings on it to help you minimise screen burn, like pixel shift which i do once a month or so aswell as screen savers and pixel refreshes or something. Must do something?

2019 q700 65 inch.

dont get me wrong, oleds are nice but nearly double the price. Qled is the best led panel on the market before you go there. Also, the internal speakers on the Samsung seem to be pretty gun
Cool thanks for yours and all the replies.

The problem with buying an 8K tv because there will be content in time, is that by the time there is available 8k content, there will be much better 8k televisions available at much better prices.

I always think you should buy the best tv for the currently widely available content at the best price.

As long as it's hdmi 2.1 compatible they're pretty much the same. I usually skip the really cheap ones to rule out the badly made ones but you don't have to spend much. I spent around £20 on mine.
