Yes he was, lost a year to injury. He is on his way back now. On the fields he tries too much at the moment, but he will need some time. He was the better player than Daka, so he has the potential ....
That was my understanding from what I'd heard, well good to see he's back fit and playing.

Man it’s
55 million? I swear they pluck numbers out of air. He’s only had a handful of first team appearances for Salzburg. How much did haaland do go to dortmund for?

Looks talented but he'll need to go prove himself at a club like Dortmund or Ajax before we decide to spunk 50m+ on him. If we could get him for cheaper that would be great, too big a risk right now otherwise.

If he "proved himself" at Dortmund/Ajax, we'd be talking about 100 millions as soon as United name is mentioned.

I suspect there’s truth in this. Sesko was spoken of glowingly 2 years back but I’ve heard he’s looked more raw than expected at first team level. Some people more well placed to judge than me have indicated that Roko Simic is a better prospect.

Sesko is clearly an unpolished diamond but we have a manager now who’s known to actually improve players so he’s not the worst shout, given the paucity of affordable, quality strikers available.

I’ll say it til his inevitable move to AC Milan is confirmed but Charles De Ketelaere still represents the best option, in my perception at least. He’s also raw but more ready made than Sesko and should only cost 30m.

We shouldn’t really be signing anyone called ‘Charles’ though.

Interesting bit in there about us being interested when he was at Domžale and apparently offered €1.6 million - which is a decent wedge for an average Slovenian club.

Also mentions the possibility of loaning him back to Salzburg for another season, which seems unlikely given how much he’d cost vs our limited budget.
That is interesting, good to see our interest will probably be real then.

Sesko is quicker and technically of a higher level than Simic from what i've seen.

For what it's worth I was told on Wednesday that his agent had met with both Murtough & Newcastle representatives that day

About time we get a high technical striker.

The last 10 years has been abysmal.

I'm used to Berbatov and RVP level of first touch. I need it back in United.

Erm not really. I didn’t make up shit and pass it on as if ITK.
@KM & a couple of others can verify or would you prefer a screenshot with the time & date? Maybe you'd be better off not presuming others have the same lack of knowledge as yourself

Thanks for the update. Any chance of us signing him this season?

Probably worth a bit more than your reply at least
So as to avoid not being grouped with, my agreement to the initial post was as I thought it was a joke based on your ‘for what it’s worth’ intro. I mean, it’s worth quite a lot I would think if his agents met with our director of football! You were being humble with the info as if it were insignificant, it certainly isn’t!

It's not THAT significant for 2 reasons

1. His agent has met with quite a few clubs of late
2. He supposedly isn't on the market till next summer

Unless point 2 has changed, then its not that significant, not to mention that one of the stories that has kicked off all of this talk has been proven to be fake, which is the one about an imminent transfer

A guy I work with is Slovenian and thinks he will turn out to be on of their greatest ever players- says he reminds him of a slightly taller young Shevchenko at Dynamo. Must admit looking at his highlights he does seem a player with massive potential!
