The more I think about this the more it annoys me. He should be sacked for the pre-mediated nature of the interview alone.

He’s planned the interview since the summer and the guy even called in sick because he wouldn’t have had another chance to do that interview until after the World Cup.

is Bellingham really that good ? will he become another "sancho" should he joined united.
I am not a fan. But if he is starting games for BvB and England and is being talked about as being chased by every big club then surely he is up there.

In the same interview; "Why won't they believe my sick leave". The lack of awareness needs its own movie.

Hopefully this will be The wake up call needed for the glazers and director to stop chasing the big name signings for commercial reasons

They were lucky to get games early in their careers and build up a reputation and gather experience. Garnacho is just getting his chance now. Only time will tell if he can keep this sort of form up.
They were not lucky though. I mean Musiala got game time with Bayern, one of the best teams in the world. I get what you are saying that they were fortunate to be in good situations to get developed, which is arguably the stage where Garnacho is now in.

In any case the point stands that these are teenagers better than Garnacho.

Might be. But I always had the feeling that the admiration for him surpassed his, admittedly incredible, athletic achievements and extended to him as a person. Whatever scandal there might have been, whatever criticism, there were always plenty of people jumping to his defense.
Though I should point out it’s not a United exclusive thing. But to me the admiration was always weird. Especially since he peaked elsewhere and you guys should have the ambition to be the club where he peaks.
It’s nothing weird and nothing unusual tbh.

Elite sports for you

I don't mean lucky in that sense. I meant luck as in having a manager who will play a youngster.

Nothing like writing someone off early. Those kids are good where they are, we have no idea if they would be good in the PL.

It's a tantrum not some complex web of secrets. When he isn't involved as much as he feels entitled to he protests, same as every act of protest since he joined.
Yes, that might well be true, 'entitlement' is just Ronaldo being Ronaldo, but attacking the club like he has via someone like Morgan, that seems OTT, even for him?

According to Rio he brokered a move between the two. I think that's half of the reason he's sticking by him now, because instigated this mess.
Ok, so what did Rio tell him would happen, "we will play you whatever happens, ...first name on the team sheet, ....the Glazers want your name back on the shirt ". Perhaps Rio should come clean now then? Get all the dirty linen washed at one go, clear the decks once and for all?

Simon Jordan makes some interesting points about the legal issues with sacking a player.

Yeah. I think that's why United are proceeding cautiously and will wait for the whole interview to be out to see what can be done. They will want the whole thing out so they can make the strongest possible case, if they're trying to say Ronaldo's committed gross misconduct.

Maybe he should but he wont break the confidence he has with either side as he wants to work with both in the future.

I had to have a chuckle, in the night I watched the episode of Crown where Princess Diana gave her interview, got up in the morning and saw Ronaldo gave a Princess Di interview

Surely they’re better just playing Felix central anyway? I get Ronaldo is their captain and the group stage is normally a lower standard of opposition but he’s been woeful all season.
Its Portugal and its Ronaldo. No one is starting ahead of Ronaldo esp. in the WC.

I'd put him on gardening leave until he can find a move. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the club at the end of December or the beginning of January.
If United cannot get rid of him without paying his future wages anyway, just keep him employed and have him wash the loo and film it. At least that is some entertainment value for the fanbase

I know that, but you can't prove he isn't either. He needs sensible people round him, who will keep his feet on the ground and not blow smoke up his backside.
By that logic, you can't prove Garnacho won't be as good as Messi...

It's absolute nonsense claiming he's the best teenager around, when you have guys like Musiala, Pedri, Gavi around. I know we love hyping up our youth players to be stars, and Garnacho has had a bright impact, but if those 3 were at United we'd be calling them the best teenagers to have ever played the game the way we hype our guys

Even though I'm sad to see Ronaldo giving an interview like this, I'm glad that he and Rangnick have come out and told us how bad it looks inside. We've all known for a long time now that the football club has been run by a bunch of idiots ruining every piece of our history and our celebrity status. We are a joke now and if YOU as a fan think that we can win championships under the ownership of the Glazers, I think you are really gullible. I will keep tabs on the team and the manager and; I will watch all the games but that is only because I find joy in watching Manchester United and not because of all the scams that is happening behind the cameras. I'm doing everything in my power as a fan to add help to those protesting against the Glazers outside the stadium and I cannot wait for them to head out. We definitely had to hear some of the things that Ronaldo had to say in the interview because now that it out in the open, the protest will get louder and the glazers will think even more about selling our precious club. If this leads to something good in terms of the change in ownership, we'll all have Ronaldo to thank for it.

Let's all keep one thing in mind, Ronaldo is mad at Erik Ten Hag but he should remember that he wanted to leave but couldn't find a club and that isn't Erik Ten Hag's fault. Ten Hag on the other hand is trying to make amends of the situation because this is a huge opportunity for him. During all this, we fans have an idea as to how badly the club is run and that the glazers are doing just the bare minimum to keep their feet above water. I also think that it will take another 2-3 years for the club to reach the heights that we want which also requires new ownership, better squad and stadium (carrington, gym and the sort) to be fixed/updated.

Now that he's finished interviewing with Piers Morgan out of all people.
What if United hire Philomena Cunk to make a documentary about Ronaldo? I bet it'd be a good laugh.

You are surprised? Lots of player fanbois here and Ronaldo obviously has the largest.
I find that Ronaldo fanboys are worse than most fans. Maybe not as much on here, but definitely on Twitter/FB etc.

I also find it weird that people jump clubs due to the player, but hey, to each their own. I, for one, will be glad if the fanboys leave along with him.

This thread kinda fleshes out some of the ETH situation on why Ronaldo might feel aggrieved.
Although doesn’t address the digs at Rooney and Neville,
Do you agree with this stuff? The irony of using the phrase ‘contextualise’ whilst ignoring some pretty significant pieces of context undermines the whole sentiment of the thread.

If he does go then the millions of customers who bought his shirt should get refunded. Seeing as most shirt sales are done pre season it’s like the glazers have milked him. They would of never had anywhere near as many shirt sales without Ronaldo.

I don’t agree with Ronaldo comments about Ten Hag but why aren’t we supporting him for coming out with the truth about our lack of investment in facilities , poor sporting project etc. We have needed somebody high profile within the club to actually expose the owners for who they are and nobody better then Ronaldo to do that.

What he said about the pool , gym etc is outrageous that it has never been upgraded since 12 years ago. Glazers take dividends out every year and nothing ever goes back in! It’s a farce and disgraceful !!

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised on Ronaldo 1st day back at Carrington his phone auto connected to the WiFi because that probably never changed either.
why should they ? Players leave in January all the time.

You really think a new chef, a jacuzzi and a new gym is going to make us compete with City.

The fact he came and said he didn't understand why united tried to hire a sporting director in Ralf, shows he has no idea what's best for United and using the glazer angle to get low iq fans on his side when the entire point of his interview was to burn all bridges with the club so they could force his termination and give him a pay off.

When we were winning against spurs he walked off the pitch. Do you think it was because he was pissed with the facilities and the glazers or because he's no longer the main man at the club?

Because he doesnt really truly care about the issue. Its not at all sincere.

He cares about using the issue to force his way out of the club one way or the other.

They weren't lucky, they were that good that they had to play. I don't like calling young players lucky just because they earn their spot early. It might occasionally happen due to injuries etc, but that doesn't apply to the mentioned ones.
