Mindblowing how anyone who's working in music doesn't know that song! Putting that aside, I loved his interpretation. The chorus is the most interesting bit - it's more upbeat and borderline pop with the feel of it. I quite like it. I do like how he's sorta doing what Dave does with the very specific fills (like Dave's part in the chorus/intro) and the snare roll leading up to the chorus. What he played in the guitar solo was pretty close. The biggest deviation is the chorus, by far.

I've enjoyed this series of videos. Always interesting to hear people's take on things. Quite a good exercise for any musician really.
I kinda recognised the track but I wouldn't say it's as omniscient as teen spirit. There was a guy on there who'd never heard Mr brightside ffs.

Totally agree though, fantastic series and you can tell that the musicians themselves are having fun.

They're brilliant. Especially the first two in the first video.
I love that there's a group of 4 new mc's and each one could be ones favorite for different reasons. (They seem to have been around for a year/longer but are new to me).

It's not Wednesday, and I'm not driving but I'm drunk at 11 am. Blasting this!

And for something a little more contemporary:

Not a fan of them personally, but the drumeo video of Greyson Nekrutmen hearing and playing a ST song for the first time is cool too. If you are a drummer, or into watching drummers, check this guy out though:
