You know that the age of consent has nothing to do with the fact a 16 or 18 year old is not an adult. If you don't think it's odd and you're liable for moral judgement for being an adult and courting a minor then I think that says more about you. There are plenty of things that are legal that shouldn't be and some things that are illegal or have been that shouldnt be/have been. Largely, people morally agree that an adult pursuing a 16 year old is wrong.
