The reach belongs to the Forson.
I'm thinking Amad would have gotten those minutes if he wasn't injuredETH sees something though giving him all that minutes.
I assumed it was purely because there’s nobody else to play there.ETH sees something though giving him all that minutes.
Wouldn't read too much into that, Amad is injured and would have got those minutes.I don’t think he’s done too badly. He was a real handful vs Dortmund before the gaffer hooked him for the confrontation. A strong handed move from ETH for sure, hope it doesn’t dent the lads confidence.
He was largely anonymous today though sadly, and I would agree the likes of Amad, Facu and Emeran look far ahead in their development. I wouldn’t expect to see him feature for the first team this season.
Not bad today as a sub, could have scored and at least contributed to Hojlund scoring chance.

Yeah, he was good on our final goal. But, couldn't seem to be bothered closing guys down when we were trying to see out a one goal lead. Strange from a young fellow as they usually bust a gut in that situation.A bit lethargic for a kid coming on for 10 minutes... hope it was just nerves.
Yea I believe in the summer. If he was smart he'd hold off signing the contract a bit longer to keep getting game time.He did well for the goal but is he just being played to sign the contract extension? Isn't he out of contract soon or was it someone else?
We've tried extending but he's not agreed terms yet.Had an impact vs Newport, and an impact again yesterday. He was quite a bright talent in the academy set-up, developing into a very different player than he seemed when we just signed him.
He doesn't seem to be as creative and skillful, but seems strong and well composed in central areas. Would extend his contract.
Yeah, re-watching the goal he does nicely to hold it up and then dribble in a tight space to get the ball back to Mainoo, then immediately identifies the right run and drags the defender. If the defender hadn't seen it, Mainoo probably slips him in. 3 good things in like 5 seconds. You've got to give Forson some credit for Mainoo's goal. He raced down the middle and completely pulled the central defender with him, allowing Mainoo lots of time and space to pick the corner. Nothing fancy, but he was working hard and moving into space - things not enough of our players do regularly.
I can only assume this is the reason he's been given a runout ahead of Amad in the last couple of games. Seems fairly proficient on a technical level and isn't as short and slight as Amad.Looks like he's our emergency striker option - didn't seem to have a clue what he was supposed to do though
Why is that so? By technical meaning " an assist is a contribution by a player which helps to score a goal" he did contribute to hold the ball and went past couple of players and passed(i didn't see if its tackle that took the ball away, but with what i saw it looked a pass by Forson) it to the scorer, so it should be counted as an assist. Not trying to be smart or anything, apologies if it looks that way, but technically that's an assist and its going to give him confidence, with this team i would rather see these little things done by our academy players, which gives immense pleasure of watching us.People can’t seriously be calling that an assist or at least giving any value to it. It’s even less meaningful that Nani’s ‘assist’ for Rooney’s overhead kick or whoever passed the ball to Ruud for his goal against Fulham.
He's ok. I imagine he will go the Elanga, Mengi, Pereira, Garner route though. However, you never really know because occasionally we do tend to hang onto one or two for quite a while (McTominay, Lingard etc). For anyone who has watched him more extensively in the youth team, how big a talent is he?
The fact we are bringing him on in important moments to try and get him to extend his contract suggests he must be pretty highly regarded.
I thought he was reasonably good at youth levels, but didn't think he had enough about his attacking game to be one of the few who establishes himself in our first team squad. For anyone who has watched him more extensively in the youth team, how big a talent is he?
