Think it is ok these middling sides being slightly cocky, actually. The players will benefit from being wound up because football wise they are better.

Next time we play Forest the players will remember Elanga and Gibbs White milking it, just as they will remember Luiz's provocation today.
Did I miss something, what's that about?

I think he was mocking Onana saving the Watkins shot with his chest. Him and that assistant on the sidelines both deserve the shtick they’ll eventually get when they end midtable soon.
The assistant who was seemingly hurling abuse at Hojlund when he was going off? Another weirdo that one.
I thought it was some random fan wearing villa gear not the assistant that was hurling abuse at Hojlund. Was it someone from Villa’s bench?

Imagine playing a sport that is 100x more popular than the female version and your partner having 16x more followers and popularity than you. Hope that keeps him awake at nights.

Some really sour and sensitive posters here.

He celebrated a goal, he moved on. I think it looked related to the carnival in Brazil. Or it may have been a personal celebration among his mates. It wasn't even contraversial.

Yes, but did he need to do it right in the face of one of our players? Seemed deliberate.

He did it the second he scored, from the very place he was standing. He wasn't even looking at Onana doing it, he was looking at his own fans.

They just equalised, he was already in front of fans, probably didn't want to waste time.

How sensitive can people get?!

The people defending him seem more sensitive. Taking the piss out of opposing team players is pretty much the norm.

It's poor form, in my opinion, but whatever. We got the last laugh.

They aren't taking the piss though, a lot of people thought him celebrating in the place he scored was disrespectful.

Like this one:
Which is fine. You can do both. Not liking his celebration doesn’t mean one is necessarily frothing at the mouth.

We should look to sign him, or a player like him to replace Casemiro. It's weird how many good DM's Brazil is currently producing.

Finding a relatively tame celebration offensive or inappropriate or disrespectful is certainly being overly sensitive about the situation.

Here are a few people wound up by an innocuous celebration:

Unlucky you silly cnut.
what a tit
he's gone full pardew, the twat
Good player but an absolute thundercnut

Celebrating is fine but doing that in the face of Onana and Varane was over the top and pretty dangerous in inciting a kick in his mug which is what he deserved.
If it was Casemiro the FA and the media would be going ga-ga all week.

Except that’s not true, he goes to run to the corner then stops and does it infront of Varane/Onana, then runs to celebrate in the corner anyway.

Im not sure people are upset, it’s just shithousery, which when you end up losing is going to get called out.

You're probably right, but I'm pretty sure that had Bruno Fernandes done that celebration in Emi Martinez's face, we'd never hear the end of it. In fact I'm certain it would be out own followers most vocal with the criticism.

It's fine to celebrate in front of opposition players* but the reason barely anyone does it is because there is always a massive risk of insta-karma.

* The idea that instantly celebrating as he scored was some sort of celebration to the Villa fans is hilarious, literally no player ever does that -- he was clearly goading Varane and Onana. To the point where Varane (normally a pretty cool and unaffected guy) had to be stopped by the ref for complaining and going after Luiz. But as I say above, it's fine. If you dish it out you always run the risk of getting it back. And he did.

I fully agree with what a tit man. Don’t be tainting innocuous posts.

Quoting someone who says what a tit as being overly sensitive is something an overly sensitive person would do.

don't get why people are so aggravated by a little shoulder shimmy
Reading this thread you’d think he injured one of our players on purpose. I don’t even think the shimmy was with cnut intentions, it was for an equaliser, just seemed like a random reaction.

What are you on about, he was clearly in our keeper's face, slagging him about not saving his one after making some saves with his body. Arsehole behaviour.

We need more unhinged behaviour in football, too many people have sucked all the fun and drama out of the game

I like this guy, get him in

No issues with the celebrations.

The crying last weekend about Arsenal celebrating beating fist-bump FC was pathetic also.
