Typical Bruno performance, frustrating, moany, wasteful then creates the winner. We have bigger problems then him to fix.

Is he going for a world record in most minutes played or something? I understand the reluctance to bench our only creative player, but I can't imagine that this lack of rest can be good for him. This screams "stubborn player" more than "desperate manager" in my opinion.

Do physios intervene in these cases or do they only focus on injuries that 100% require rest?

He lost too many balls in the first half. He is starting to remind me of Mata from United, where is so easy to drible past him and push him off the ball. He is easily dispossessed of the ball with a simple push.

Where I do feel that he has been much worse then before is his shooting. He gets in good positions in the box, but he cant score at the moment even if his life depends on it.

I’m not being naive at all. You have an agenda. On his day he’s a match winner and he’s absolutely always available even if he’s carrying a knock. He hasn’t produced anything consistently in ages and has gone through his worst spell and it’s fair to say everyone was equally awful under Ralf.

He’s won us far more games than any other player post Fergie. He’s definitely been the one of the most professional and hard working players we’ve brought in. He puts the likes of Pogba and Sancho to shame with his workrate and passion for the club. His erratic performances or antics can be a turn off but I feel like we've also been far too reliant on Bruno, if he doesn’t produce we are usually screwed, there is no plan B apart from get the ball to him. There should be goals and assists throughout the team and the fact there isn’t doesn’t mean it’s totally Bruno’s fault. The other attackers need to get fired up and give it a real go but I don’t want to get started on the likes of Rashford here.
You have agenda’s…I don’t create threads or support threads about other peoples opinions. Football is about opinions.

A few things on your specific points.

1.Ronaldo put him to shame under Ralf, Shaw and DDG also. Also this isn’t about other players. Please be consistent with your postings and responses.

2. ‘He’s won us far more games than any other player post Fergie’….Ok then you have statistics to back this up?

3. One of the most professional players?…His performance at Anfield in the 7-0 is the most unprofessional performance I’ve seen since Neil Webb and by some distance. He constantly throws himself on the ground when not injured and stays there to prove a point regardless of the team situation. He’s given more chances and cost more goals than other players more criticised.

4. Hojlund Garnacho are having good seasons despite Bruno, Ronaldo did the same. It’s about time Bruno sorts his own shit out. He had a good first 6-12 months and has been consistently poor/shite for 3 years. Many other better performing players have received more criticism for less.

This is all somehow still about Pogba. It’s mad! I’ll get back to your exam questions later on. I hope you have a good night, I enjoy the nights we win.

Was injury doubt coming into that game and was limping leaving the ground. Whatever one says about him he's soldiers on regardless of fitness and form and created the match winning goal tonight.

Well you make it about what you need it to be about. For me it’s simply Bruno’s performance thread….game to game, week to week, season to season. Would be better if you looked at it the same way. Pogba was a decent player for us in difficult times, nothing more. He left nearly two years ago. You need to get over him, Bruno has been largely shite since 12 months after he arrived. This season has been dire but not as poor as under Ole/Ragnick. How about answering direct questions.

Absolute disgraceful lack of game-management in added time. A Forest player grabs Bruno by the throat and he doesn't even go down and show the slight bit of gamesmanship to get an opponent sent off and secure us the win. Disgusting act of selfishness.

I think that actually is a problem. I for one, am starting to get tired of seeing him offended all the time, and that suffering body-language. And blaming others for his mistakes.

Fernandes was great when he signed for us, then he has slowly declined every season since.

If you compare player for player at United and Arsenal and ask me to point out one position, I would say the biggest difference in qualify is between Fernandes and Ødegaard. Ødegaard can do everything Fernandes can do + he is crucial for Arsenal ability to keep possession. Fernandes, most of all, is crucial for our ability to lose possession.

Fernandes needs to go after this season, and so does Casemiro. We need two new central midfielders that can manage the ball in narrow spaces, so we can play up through the middle without losing and keeping the ball 50-50. We can survive with some wildness on the wings, but we need a steady central line to build out from the back. Fernandes and Casemiro must be replaced.

That’s actually a huge fecking problem if you’re building a team around a player where this is a “typical” game. Not sure how you ever expect to be consistently at the top of the performances are never consistent.

He certainly puts his body on the line and is a fantastic high rate worker. I honestly can't fault his work ethic. However, his general all around play and attitude can be so awful that it doesn't even balance it out. Without him being our captain and basically 'man who takes and tries everything' he's a net negative player. It's on the manager for constantly selecting and allowing this but boy it is bad.

I don't get this apparent 'attitude problem' that people bang on about. Is this the whole arm flailing argument again?

To be fair it can be used so generally in his case. Body language, game management, his role as the captain and one of the most senior players, his criticism of team mates for in game decisions and plays and then ignorance of his own flaws/plays etc.

Imo it's 'fine' to be 'petulant' and 'whingy', if this is all for show to influence the referee/slow the game etc but on the inside you are 'on it' in terms of doing everything at maximum efficiency on your own game and for your team mates. Case in point City or Liverpool players. You can't be flailing your arms at the ref or team mates and then taking 30 yard pot shots from the corner flag at the 93rd minute of a game we're desperately holding on.

I get your point however I disagree with the bolded part. One of my all time favourite players is Rooney, who would shout at his teammates all game, then make a daft decision on the ball like take a pot shot instead of making a simple pass in a crucial stage of the game.

I am by no means suggesting that Bruno is on a similar level to Rooney, but we need to accept that our more experienced players are going to make in-game mistakes, and that's okay sometimes.

That's fine we don't have to agree but your example of Rooney is exactly why I said what I said. I'm sure I had accused and criticised Rooney of poor attitude too during the latter stages of his career where he no longer had world class team mates in every position and I had expected 'more' from him. I think this probably best describe the LVG years.

I guess the difference is that Rooney 'got away' with that petulance during his early years because he was in a winning machine team under Fergie. Unfortunately, Bruno didn't have that luxury and on top of his in game decisions, we're also adding 11 years of frustration with every criticism. That goes with every other player of course too. It's unfair but I think most people are still judging on his performances quite fairly. Bruno isn't making a mistake here or there, it's numerous and consistent amounts.

I should caveat and I've said this many times though that I still put the majority of blame for our players' performance on the manager/s.

Awesome performance. Got the all important assist and created some big chances…

…is what I’m supposed to say as one of those sheeple blinded by Opta Joe stats.

In fact, I think he was terrible. I didn’t watch our last two games so can’t speak about them but this would have to be one of his worst performances of the season. Just looked a shadow of his usual self. Maybe needs a few games off?
Haha, here you go;
It was yet another terrible performance masked by stats such as above.

It's getting boring and pointless piling on this guy but my last point on that performance yesterday is that moment when he had his throat grabbed.

Definitely should have been a red but the way he just took it like a meek bitch was pathetic. A common trait in him is he gets bullied by opposition players often and tries to nice guy them back because he knows he's a physical wimp. It was pathetic from a united captain. Can you imagine a forest player doing that to VVD? Kompany? Keane?

Sky Sports News will say absolutely NOTHING about the throat grabbing last night. Had it been the reverse...?

Agree, its wierd. He doesnt look great but still generates OK stats. But as someone posted last night, I'm beginning to real dislike him. Just sick of the gestures and arm waving and diving. Its pathetic and not what this club should be about.

Just on the bold part, more hyperbole, like easily easily our best signing, won us more games than any other player etc. Back up your point rather than attacking the poster. I’m more than happy to see stats and facts that back up your point rather than just saying words and not backing them up.

Since the 4th of November (4 months 15 games) Bruno hasn’t scored a league goal, and has only 3 assists….2 of them in 3-0 wins (wouldn’t have been screwed there) and one of them a token assist…cross field pass to Garnacho whose shot was deflected, one a corner swung into the mixer. Hardly worldy moments to rely on.

Bruno doesn’t produce. He hasn’t produced consistently in ages, and whilst we are a poor team it’s not a result of Bruno being off form. This is Bruno and he’s part of this team and part of the reason it’s poor. People deflecting blame off him to others and saying nonsense like if he doesn’t produce we are screwed ignore the fact that he hasn’t regularly produced good numbers for a player in his position for three consecutive seasons.

This is his last three premier league seasons numbers….

Games 98 / goals 21 / assists 19 / mins 8668

Goal every 413 mins
Assist every 456 mins
G/A 216 mins

These are poor figures for a player who has license to spam final balls, takes all set pieces, and a generally low pass completion as a result. This is three seasons, so where is the argument that if he doesn’t produce we are scared coming from? His production fell off a cliff since Jan 22.

This is the issue when you have a manager fighting for his own life in a club. You end up destroying players by playing them through injury. Bruno needs rest.

Bruno’s game can be summed up by that moment where he tried a pass over the top (may have been a free kick) and it was headed away back over Bruno’s head. Any other player would have recycled possession to keep pressure on as our players were up in the oppo’s box. What does Bruno do? He attempts some idiotic pass with his back to their goal by kicking it over his head. Just bounces harmlessly to their keeper.

What the feck did he think would happen? It’s such low football IQ decision making. Abysmal stuff. I would have subbed him off there and then.

Agreed, remember Shearer groaning at that point and criticizing the play. He treats the ball likes he's playing ping pong.

It's not weird. He's an extremely hard-working and creative player. He may not be strong, but his tenacity will lead to an abnormally high number of tackles for an attacking midfielder. His constant movement also means that he'll be heavily involved in the game even on bad days. And he may also squander a lot of possession (especially on bad days), but his vision and precision is bound to help him find team mates running into good space which at least theoretically should lead to chances and assists (Bruno can't control what the strikers do with the ball once they receive it). More often than not they don't even manage to fire off a shot, which in return means that it wont count as a chance created, even though the pass was excellent.

Yeah if I had to put him somewhere on the priority list it would be around 7th/8th
Amrabat (back to club)
Martial
Donny
Evans
Sanch
Eriksen
Maguire
Mctom
Lindelof
Rashford
Varane
Hannibal
Shaw (due to injuries)

Thats 13 that should go before Bruno does.

Oh feck off. He slapped the guy’s hand off his throat. What else do you want him to do? Jab his fingers in his eyes? Rear naked choke?

The irony here is that if Bruno had reacted more like his stereotype, doing what people like you moan about every week, and thrown himself on the ground in pretend agony, then it would have more likely have been a red card. If anything, his reaction was what I would want to see from footballers in that situation. But it may have cost the team.

Be a fecking man about it but that might too tough for little Bruni. Even Martial reacted when provoked that way against spurs. But then this is the same guy that had Klopp grab his neck like a little bitch and did nothing then too.

Great so he's only a moany bitch when it doesn't help the team. We have games against Liverpool and City coming up where people like you can get a front row view of how meek and weak he is when the stakes are high.

His non football negatives though plenty shouldn't hide the main problem with Bruno though, He's just not that good at football.

Yeah, a few Mount games to get Bruno some actual rest should keep us okay at #10 for a few years while we fix the much more serious holes in the squad.

Can't fault workrate or effort, but he just isn't that good.
Physically weak, whiny, slow and cannot keep possession of the ball.
We should not and cannot build a future midfield around him.

You’ll need to expand on what being a fecking man about it would involve? I’ve already given you two options. I’m guessing they don’t work for you? What else? Take out his erect cock and beat yer man to death with it? Something else?
