on track RB is unstoppable off track they are a fecking shambles.
Iam now thinking that Horner has done nothing wrong and others just want him out for what ever reason.
I wonder what Ford think of all this ?
This has been my theory since the end of the investigation. Someone clearly trying a power play. Jo's comments last week only further cemented that

Marko involved in leaks?

Who could have guessed

Hope not because how horrible a look will it be for the girl if it turns out she was a willing part of a Jos and Marko scheme.

Saw the qualifying "live" few hours later, I didn't miss much, but it was interesting apart from first place obviously. The gaps are so small it's almost incredible.

Saying that, how on earth is possible that Max doesn't make single mistake ever in Q3? Perez is not a rookie, Bearman made a clear mistake in Q2 and he was still just a half second behind Leclerc who had a good lap, while Perez makes a clean lap and is 0,3 behind Max. Mind boggling.

Would be fascinating if max let his career implode through loyalty to two creepy old men, and wildly neither is Horner

Adds to the fuel daddy is throwing his weight around

But why try and disrupt what is currently an unbeatable team. Why?

I can't see either of them particularly caring about any injustice for the PA it can't be like they're aggreived at how she was treated

The only thing that stands out is the now vacant mercedes seat, but surely not?

Merc seems similar to last year, probably has a sweet spot on a few tracks but mostly rubbish.

Can't understand what's going on at Red Bull, Are they just wanting Horner out, confident Newey will stay longer working on the road car, they see the natural cycle ending sooner than later anyway when the big engine changes and Newey retires or has one last move?

Theres plenty of rumours about Jos being involved with this PA to some degree.

The bigger picture though I think is Horner and English financiers trying to take over the Austrian half of RB. Basically trying to do what Toto and Ineos did with Mercedes

Yeah the Thais are in lockstep with Horner. And as soon as Dietrich passed they started plotting.
The Austrians haven't forgiven Horner for Porsche deal falling through, anyways rumours are the Thai side want the racing side spun off to its own entity with no control from Austria

To be honest, her being a "close friend" of jos, who hasn't seen eye to eye with Horner for years, Marko and jos being close friends screams of collusion especially after Horner tried to get rid of him last season, if I was Horner I'd send the Verstappens to the B team and make Danni Ric the world champion
Hes no fast at al

Hamilton:

“I think I now have a bit of a better feeling for where the problem might be but when you’re carrying so much lateral load at such high speeds, the car’s balance shifts. At 160-170mph... That’s three years in a row it’s been like this here.”

Through Turns 6/7/8 is where he suffered the biggest loss to Max Verstappen’s Red Bull and Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari.

Verstappen was flat through there, Leclerc virtually so. But Hamilton was down to 62% throttle (Russell at 57%) and going through at 155mph compared to the 166mph of the Red Bull and Ferrari.

There are a lot of pointless drivers on the grid at the moment.

It’s impressive; but it’s easy to perform with complete calm when you know you’ve no real competition and, even if it goes wrong, you’ll comfortably make it all back in the race.

Your point is right though; just using the wrong evidence. Max and Lewis in Max’s first championship were incredible. Barely either made a mistake. I can only really think of the Saudi qualifying lap where Max made a mistake. Hamilton in Baku. Probably a couple others I missed, but to be so relentlessly good and consistent in those circumstances I think is what separates them from everyone else. It was super impressive particularly for Max though, who hadn’t ever won at that stage and was relatively the younger and less experienced. That was something incredible. And you can see vs Leclerc also. The next season when they were close at the start, it was Charles who made the mistakes.

I get the feeling he is still driving a bit in himself in Q3. The last time he was under real real pressure was in 2021, and he hit a wall (in Saudi actually I think). Obviously he is the best driver on the grid at the moment, but will be interesting to see what happens should he end up back in a title fight in 2026 - God its depressing that I have to say 2026 is the next time there may be a title fight

Its not great, a driver at his peak and hes just crusing around driving within himself. Lets hope RedBull have the balls to put Alonso in the other RedBull seat for next season. That would certainly push Max to the limit and we'd get to see what would certainly be a nailbiting title battle.

Surely they cant extend Perez past this season. Putting in albion or piastri wouldnt be a challenge for max either. The latter being too young and inexperienced for a title battle.

Not convinced Sainz has the raw speed of max ot even leclerc. Norris has extended his McLaren deal. So it all seems to hinge on Alonso. Unless Mercedes/Mclafen or Ferrari can actually build a car that can challenge for the title under these regs (i doubt it).

They won’t ever rock the boat like this. The only reason they would is if they thought other cars were challenging and they needed two quality drivers to win the constructors. As it stands, it’s entirely beneficial in a way to not have two alpha drivers in the team.

Loved watching Alonso get a sneaky tow behind Hamilton yesterday to get a better lap time in Q3. The man is a genius and I'd love to seem him get just one season in a truly competitive car.

If I were Mercedes I'd approach Alonso for that 2nd seat, but are they competitive enough yet?

I've gone Max, Perez, Leclerc

Feel like I have the second 2 the wrong way round

Bearman I put 8th as thought the Ferrari was quick enough to compensate for his inexperience. Oops

Who has what tyres left?
Everyone has a new set of hard tyres apart from the McLaren and Aston Martin drivers, who did one lap on them during practice, so they are nearly new.
Both Red Bulls have two new mediums, which could be handy if there is a timely Safety Car.
