Easy. It was like this goal but closer to the sideline and a near post shot instead of the far post.

I've also scored from the half way line but that was unintentional. It was a long through ball which my teammate didn't get the control off, just went under his foot, and the goalkeeper who came out didn't expect that so the ball went passed him.

A Scholes like volley straight from a corner (Under 17's, so a good 10 years ago).

Outside the box, hit across the ball with the outside of my right foot and it swerved/bended in off the post. Keeper was still.

Goal 1- Against a Delhi league side two seasons back.I was playing up front because of some injury problems in the squad(I'm usually a right winger or centre mid)I got the ball around the halfway line after a clearance.Three guys in front of me...I ran toward the right showing my Messi like pace and left the first guy behind.Feinted to the right then quickly knocked it to the left. With a guy on me to my right, set myself up for the left footed sliding shot and crashed it into the top corner.

Goal 2-Playing with my friends in a decent sized pitch. The ball rolled to me after a mispass.I was about 20 yards behind the half.Ran up a bit and crashed it towards the opposition goal...sweetest strike I've ever err..struck.Just below the crossbar and goal.

Scored four yesterday, three of them were absolute pearls. I'm going to hit Paint and enthrall you guys again in a bit.

Looping left foot volley into the top left hand corner , 25 yard out in a league cup semi final.

It put us 4-0 up mid way through the second half and was bettered almost straight away by one of our lads beating the keeper from the half way line.

You're missing the point of this thread.

Where's the feck all drawing to match the description?

I scored a goal similar to Welbeck's against Sweden once. Usually I just blast the thing over from point-blank range, or curl it around the wrong side of the post.

Good memories, though I've scored around 200 better goals since.

@giorno better start drawing your goal now.

Scored a twenty-five yard volley in off the crossbar. The other players gave me a standing ovation for it.

Missed an easy chance from three yards about five minutes later.

Fine margins, Clive.

Pretty easy to score a 25 yard volley if the opposing team and goalie are sitting tbf.

It was the Semi-final of the local cup and we met our worst rivals.
I had only been at the club for a year, but slowly started to cement myself in the first 11.

We had a corner kick and since i was pretty quick i was asked to stay back to cover ground if we lost the ball. The corner comes in and the other team clear it. The ball is bouncing towards me and now time starting to move in slow motion. I run towards the ball and in front of me is a sea of players, both our own and the other teams. Usually in these situations i just go for power, but something popped into my head last minute so i decided to go for power and to actually look for somewhere to place the ball.
Connects perfectly with the ball on the side of my foot and it curls around the sea of player with amazing speed and hits the top corner perfectly.
Keeper stood watching and the whole team are celebrating like crazy.
The local newspaper even did a small piece on the goal with my name and everything.

I played one of my best matches overall that game and really bossed the whole park. My goal was the only goal we scored so we went on to loose 6-1.

My best was a 5/7 aside goal. Rainbow flicked it over the defender who was effectively in the left back position, controlled with my left thigh and volleyed it in the bottom corner with my left foot.

After joining a new Sunday team I rocked up on the first match day not knowing anyone.

Before the match, warming up and knocking balls about I just kinda loitered on the edge of the box with passes flying everywhere between the other players.

One ball was crossed in and from just outside the box it was perfect for the overhead. Executed perfectly, it was literally top bins. Few people stopped and noticed but I could barely run off screaming…just played it cool like I done it all the time.

still started on the bench

There are two possibilities. One was probably largely fluke though, if I'm honest.

Proper one:
Just under 30 yards out just to the left of goal, ball cleared badly, comes straight to me. Hit it perfectly (believe me, that doesn't happen too often) with the outside of my right foot on the half-volley. Ball skims the floor all the way, curling slightly to the left. Hits the inside of the left hand post (from my point of view) and in.
I know the distance perfectly, because we were on astroturf playing across a hockey pitch (60 yards wide), and I was just in their own half. More impressive because the goal was actually a hockey goal. It went at such pace, the keeper didn't stand a chance.

I'm very embarrassed to do this, but the only goal I can think of to compare it to is Roberto Carlos in Le Tournoi.

Oh, and not only does no-one else remember it, but in order to get the power I had both feet off the floor (kind of a low-level scissor kick) and therefore fell over. This led the opposite team to say it was 'lucky'. I apparently mishit it because I was falling over. Bastards.

Number 2 (and the one which probably was flukey)
Running into the area, cross from the right, but behind me. The only thing I could do was to flick a leg out behind me and backheel it. Somehow this worked perfectly, lobbing the ball over my own head, and the keepers despairing dive.
I can't think of a similar goal that I've seen scored to this one.
Bloody hell. I didn't even remember posting this - but I pre-Mkhitaryaned Mkhitaryan by 8 years!
Mind you, mine wasn't quite as impressive. There was no diving acrobatics, just a leg flicked out behind me.
And it's a bit sad to recognise that I have continued playing every week in the 16 years since this post, and I can't particularly think of any further noteworthy goals. I don't even remember the first one I describe.

The first one sounds more like Henry v Sparta or the Alcantara one?

stoppage time, cup semi, drawing 2-2.
The team we were playing were dirty cnuts, and also much better than us.

Ball came into the box from a corner and the ball squirmed out of the crowd right through my legs. I quickly spun round so my back was facing the goal and back heeled it back into the crowd. It went through about 7 players’ legs and hit the post and went in.

Team mates nearly crushed me to death in the celebrations.
Only goal I scored all year.

if we’re counting warm up and training goals, we may as well count fifa ones too.

In a pre-season friendly trying out for a new team, who were at a decent level. Playing right wingback, ball gets switched over to my side and I take the ball running forward towards the box. Defender comes across and stands me up at the edge of the box, I fake to shoot, roll the ball with my right foot inside and take a big old swing with my left foot - curled it in top corner, near post.

Scored in a few more games in pre-season only to be told he had no room for me in the first team squad when the season started and shunted to CB for their reserve team where I scored an absolutely spectacular own goal.

The ball came from behind and to the left of me, and as it came past I flicked it with my left foot over my man, then lobbed it over the next man with my thigh, then smacked it right-footed on the half-volley through the keeper's legs.

Suspiciously similar goals. You're obviously Plech in disguise.

I only ever scored one goal (usually played in goal) so it was my defacto best one!

Corner came in and I headed it beyond the keeper, defender blocked it on the line and luckily it came right to me, put my laces through it with my left boot and thundered it in from all of 3 yards out

Game finished 1-1.

The best one was a right-footed (I'm left-footed) volley that I scored. I didn't have enough time to set myself up for it or even think about it, it just happened.

I once scored one from the half-way line that was pretty great, I managed to put enough bend on it after it had already left my foot, that it went all the way across from the right side where I was, to the left top corner. The tiny goalkeeper had no chance and the crowd went mental. I was playing for AC Milan at the time.

Sorry forgot this part - Game: Sensible World of Soccer.

I've played DM / CB all my life, so have mainly scored absolutely shite goals on the rare occasion I do.

One time I went up for a free kick though, ball was deep into their box set to land right in the left hand corner of the six yard. The spirit of chicharito suddenly coursed through my veins and I don't know why the feck I even tried it but I dived headlong under the flight of it and headed it with the back of my head trying to lob the keeper in the opposite corner, and the fecker went in just like that.

Ref disallowed it for offside. They had a man on the post, the knob.

Scored a couple last year that will be hard top. Just getting back into it after injury.

1) Goalie advanced about half way through our half, took a long kick, I peeled off their right winger and in front of the right back, controlled on my thigh and smashed in a volley into the top far corner. Loved it.

2) Picked up the ball off our full back, ran through the middle of the pitch beating 3 or 4 players, Pinged it from around 25 yards out in off the bar.

Once volleyed a red hot chip from about 20 yards and it looped up, landed perfectly between Sally Millers eye and glasses and burned her and she had to go to hospital.

Relatted side note, on a primary school residential, we were all sat on a wooden floor in the hall. I farted loudly and it echoed off the floor and the hall acoustics made it even more loud. Sally Miller was sat next to me and so I did the only thing I could think of and blamed her for it. She got mercilessly reminded of this fact for years and even in Year 11 was still known as Shitty Miller.

She was a stuck up cnut though, so deserved it. Bitch.

My goal of the season strike in an U11s league game back in the 80s. Can still picture it now: 25-30 yds out, stepped inside from the left wing and hit it top bins. Scored loads of goals in kickabouts and other games but that one always stands out in my memory.

Second best one was playing football at school at lunch, with a tennis ball. Struck a perfect shot straight at Roy Ward in net, he put his hands up to stop it, but the gap he left between his thumb and fingers was just enough to let the ball through, which smashed his glasses.

Best goal with school lunchtime credit:

- Dilapidated school field goalposts, with year group goalkeeper in net.

- It’s a calm day, we’ve already had PE so with the 12 balls we all brought in, we were all attempting free kicks with the Beckham, Gerrard, Juninho shouts beforehand.

- It’s my turn, I’ve placed the ball 10 yards or so to the corner of the 18 yard box. The big lads are going all in for heads and volleys

I thought, not today lads, this is going in.

I look at the keeper dead in the eye and pointed at the postage stamp spot I was aiming for.

I’ve taken 4 strides back and commenced my run up shouting “Beckham!!!”, and I shit you not, the ball floats through the air so majestically and hits the exact spot I pointed to, but due to the massive dint, it diverts into the keepers face and over the line.

This was YouTube content before YouTube content was a thing. I’d give my life savings to return to this moment and record it.

On the school theme, in a Year 10 schools league match in the Airedale area, my best 11-a-side goal would have to be an inadvertent scorpionish kick as the opposition CB had elbowed me and dragged me forwards. With blood spewing from my nose I took a dramatic fall with his pull, my leg came up and the ball deflected off my heel and in.

My first game for Freestyle Rovers U10's. Flicked it up and lobbed the keeper from the half way line. Scored 3 more goals before they subbed me at half time and I took that shit personally.

Made a diagonal run into the box and received a through ball around 10m from the goal but the angle was sharp, the keeper already closed down on me pretty well and I was looking towards the corner flag, so no finish possible. I flicked the ball up with the outside of the boot on the first touch, then backheel-lobbed over the keeper :D Don't know a similar goal but it was a bit similar to this Mata assist:

Was only a training match though :/

Scored 2 from my own half playing in goal, neither was intended.

One was just a long high punt that bounced over their flailing keeper and went in.

Second one was a free kick for offside, just outside our box for offside. I just smashed it long straight down the middle, was landing around their penalty spot, keeper came running out to catch it at his chest ball went through his arms and through his legs and trickled in. Funniest thing about that one was one of their players said as I was lining it up, "go on, have a shot".

Best intentional one was a lob I scored from about 30 yards out on the right side, we were away and just about had 11. I was put right ring, our stand in keeper kicked it long, left back went for the header, I knew he misjudged the flight of the ball and ducked in behind. Ball went over his head, I let it bounce and side footed it with outside curl over their keeper. We ended up losing that game 4-3 due to some outrageous refereeing decisions in their favour, winning goal one of their guys was standing on the 6 yard line for a free kick, miles off, ball hit the bar and dropped to him and he tapped it in. Referee said he wasn't interfering with the keeper and it was a new phase of play and all that shite.

I once played for a team that was considered the very best in the district they were undefeated for 3 years as they creamed all the best players, well I fell out with the team, on the bench too much and joined another at 14, eventually the two teams met in the district cup final, I was the Midfield Creator and enforcer maybe an 8 maybe a 10, my ex team tried everything that day, verbal abuse, physical abuse but in about 73rd minute the ball rebounded out from a corner kick about 25 yards out and I just struck it on the half volley diagonally into the side and top net, wasn’t my best goal ever but was my most satisfying, we won the cup 1-0, I was man of the match and those arrogant twats who were simply mirror image of their aggressive parents couldn’t believe that they had actually lost a game of football.
Sweet revenge that lives on in my memory for ever !

5 a side, long ball over the top from defence, i was wide left, started jogging infield, left foot volley into the top right corner.
