our ”worst signing ever” has now scored an absolutely vital goal against Barca, and now one against Liverpool.
Let’s not forget the screamer vs. City away.

Much better player than given credit for, absolutely hasn’t done enough yet for his fee, but not the dogshit numpty many make him out to be. Works his arse off too.

After he scored he did a quick drag & cross immediately after, it felt like something clicked.

Hopefully he can push on but today’s a start.

You will never be able to doubt his effort or desire, that is for sure. He looked another level after scoring too not being afraid to take on his man.

Chuffed for him. Man’s been memed. He may be an awful signing when his transfer fee is mentioned, but as I’ll always say, the price isn’t his fault.

He always tries and today it finally came good for him.

Deserves credit.

He'll never be a world beater, but he's a potentially very solid player in the absolute doldrums of form and confidence (likely in no small part due to off-field issues).

I don't think he's anything like as bad as people keep harping on about. Feels like every third post in most matchday threads is slagging him off even when he's having a decent enough game.

His energy changed the game today. Came on when we were chasing shadows and lit a fire under the entire group. Ten Hag has a core group he can build on.

Was great today, as soon as he scored with his right foot it felt like destiny that we would win this game.

It felt like a goal out of nothing might have just saved our season. He did well outside of the goal too.

This was a completely different player tonight. Wow. Looked a different prospect. Heroic performance. Took on players, looked very quick too. Scored a Gerd Muller-esque pivot right footed shot! Then played left back, and looked solid!

Best performance for Utd. Well done to him. Let’s see what he does.

Very solid at left back. Particularly at home, I think that is the way to go for the rest of the season in the absence of Shaw/Malacia.

Looked emotional at FT. I hope he can kick on and put his troubles behind him soon. He might be much more useful than he's shown so far.

I was fuming when he was warming up, hugging his old teammate Gakpo, whilst Liverpool were running rings round us. But all is forgiven now - fantastic impact off the bench. He tricked everyone into believing he didn't have a right foot and then saved it for when it mattered most!

Delighted for him. Cant remember a player get so much gleeful hate by his own fans. Millions of miles to go but his effort cant ever be questioned.

One of your best signings in the past decade. Absolute steal too at that price.

Love him to bits.

Is it really necessary for the commentators to bring up his price tag every time he does anything good, bad or indifferent. It's not his fault he cost so much.

Happy for him today. Great shift put in. The best he's ever looked for us
Also happy for him, had a good game.

Been practicing kicking the ball with his right foot I see. Fair play to him.

He takes all the credit today, we weren't up to much until his goal... He dragged us back into it.

One thing nobody can ever deny about him is that he’s definitely a fighter. So happy for him today on a personal level, stood up to be counted.

Credit to him. Scored a crucial goal when he came on and actually looked threatening. Good showing from him. More of that from him going forward please.

Defensive work, used both of this feet, took on players and got to the touchline, scored with a lovely finish. Fair play.
