He did, 66th minute for Hojlund. You just couldn't tell because he was invisible after coming on.
That was my point  when his brother is trying to fight his corner today after everything that’s happened this season. Jesus wept

When you're only on for 20 minutes the least you can do is run about. Like run, chase, fight. So many times a defender had the ball and he's trotting around 5 yards away.
Hojlund can be ineffective but at least he is there and interested

Yea that was a pretty anonymous cameo
Yep no intensity, defeat wasn't his fault, but could have thrown anyone else on and they'd have had more impact. Will probably be back in the team for pool, as injuries will mean it's him or no one.

He made one good pass to Antony and one good defensive clearance. Other wise nothing. There was a point in the game where Bruno was pressing their CB from behind Rashford as Rashford was just jogging around. We can't have players who just turn up for half the games. Let alone who can't turn up for 30 mins a game.

Watching city yesterday against villa and the intensity of their recovery runs/pressing, it’s just on a whole different level to us. This league is brutal and you simply can’t carry a player like rashford if you want to be even close to the summit of it. In a weird way I don’t think he can help it, he popped up with some decent bits at RB late on, but in general the penny doesn’t seem to drop for him that opposing team being allowed to play out from the back unhindered = DANGER FECKING CLOSE IT DOWN. It makes us look amateur.

You'd think he'd be coming on and wanting to prove a point after the recent comments on him in the media but it was the opposite. Came on like he felt hard done by and couldn't be bothered.

Get rid.

At this moment, the worst attitude of a Utd player I have seen in my lifetime as a Utd fan. Shouldn't be near the squad never mind first team. He's done a very good job of sacking another manager.

Just get him out the club. Massive difference in effort and application when you compare the cameo from Mount vs Rashford.

We effectively went down to 10 men when Rashford came on.
A training cone would have done more.
Jogging around with no interest in putting in the work rate.
He was literally a few yards away from Chelsea players trying to build from the back and showed not intensity, or intent to put any effort in whatsoever.
We we’re winning and he should have been motivated by that.
Get rid ASAP.
Just drop him from the 1st team squad for the rest of the season.
Not even a place on the bench.
A total disgrace.

Thought he would actually do well coming fresh on in a match full of breaks against a team that had no defensive cohesiveness but there was just nothing. The team stopped playing yes but he wasn't exactly giving it all either.

Disgusting performance once again. Absolutely zero intensity and doesn’t seem to understand the concept of “impact sub” where you come on and make a nuisance of yourself chasing down lost causes. I’ve always defended him prior to this season, but the sooner we’re shut of him the better. Shit attitude and he’s not a good enough footballer to make up for that lack of effort.

If he is in the starting line up at the weekend, I'm not watching. It's silly that he is still getting game time.

One thing that is never mentioned by the media/pundits who just say he is "out of form"....

He was terrible for almost a year under Ole, then half a season under Ralf, the first 2 months under Ten Hag before having a brief 3 month renaissance before returning to type back end of last seasons and all of this one.

The "form" period is the exception to the rule, the most overrated player in the league and perhaps Europe.

What is Marcus good at? Not sure anymore. I hope PSG are still interested and we make the right decision to sell.

Don't worry, he has had his meeting with Brailsford and his position is assured now. Academy product, salt of the earth, build the team around you etc.

Get ready for another three years of this shite at least.

350k a week and this week you were asked to play 20 minutes and couldn't be arsed even running for that.

I just hope we get in a good manager before ten Hag is allowed to destroy our talents. Rashford has nothing to prove to anyone, we know his quality. The problem is ten Hag. Our players keep excelling when they leave OT, what's the problem with us? Ten Hag out please, no questions. ETH makes good players average, and makes average players poorer. Simple.

I just don't think he's mentally okay this season. There were those reports of him losing the fire and interest in the game and even though we don't know if that's true, I wouldn't be surprised if it is. I didn't expect him to do much coming on. Yeah he played a striker even though he's a left winger but we had 3-2 lead and space to possibly counter them and finish them off. I don't remember him being dangerous at all. And he used to be, many times against Chelsea as well. It's a shame.

Funny that he's getting shit on for today really. The feck did he do wrong out there? He was there for 20 minutes, worked hard (even tracked back by our own corner flag that one time...), and did well to bring Antony in the build up to our 3rd goal. Nothing special, but he did fine and kept the ball well enough which was the mode we were in at the end of the game.

Come on. He is trash this season and his lack of desire is annoying but he IS a very good player.
Doesn’t run, lacks urgency, poor attitude, doesn’t track back, doesn’t cross, doesn’t take on defenders (ends up crashing into them most of the time), not a top scorer.

i really hate that i’m saying this, but he is an average player who got overhyped. I wish Palmer ended up at United…

He was and has been shit for weeks. He was jogging about when we desperately needed our center forward to try and get on the ball and run the channels. He has earned more money in one week where he couldn't give 2 fecks than most of us will in 8-10 years. It simply isn't good enough.

what is he good at. I’m serious, can’t think of anything.
He is fast, direct, can beat a man, has a pretty good first touch and has a decent shot. Those are all qualities he has shown during various stages in his career. It is not like he doesnt have any quality. It is quite impressive that a player with his talents can look so bad at times.

He came in and kept the ball well enough, and United after he came on took the lead and then just managed the game. Pretty well I might add. Up until they lost their heads after the 95th minute, which had feck all to do with Rashford.

probably fast and a decent first touch. You’re right. That’s it. But overall, poor, very poor and frustrating
