Cole Palmer is expected to be rewarded for his incredible first season at Chelsea with an improved contract that will include a lucrative pay rise.

Although no talks have been held or are imminent, Telegraph Sport understands there is already an acknowledgement within Chelsea that Palmer will be deserving of a new deal that will include a significant increase to his current salary which is around £80,000-a-week.
Well deserved.

There needs to be an inquest into why he isn't at United.

The overhyping of this guy is hilarious. 2 penalties and a deflected goal

On penalties is there anyone who looks more confident? Ice in his veins

Kudos to the guy. Well impressed, I liked him from his first games after the summer but wouldn't have predicted him becoming so influential on the pitch so fast. A player chelsea will have a lot of joy with. Actually kind of happy for him

He's gotta be on course for most penalties taken at this point? Forget scored..... right? 9 matches RVN I know, but he's got 9 games to go

He already more than justified his transfer fee and his newly improved contract already.

Great player, but he does make a lot of weird choices with his passing at times. Probably why he's not at City right now.

Almost like a Manc born Lampard regen with that deflected goal and his penalty record.

We'd be nowhere this season without him and surely he'll make the England squad for pens even if not starting.

I can see Smith-Rowe looking at Palmer's season and thinking "I could do that".

I can't imagine you'd sell to Chelsea but I can see Man United, Newcastle and maybe Liverpool being interested (depending on who their manager is).

30 goal contributions in your first season in a really shite Chelsea side is pretty good going.

His passing options are hugely restricted by how shit his teammates are in fairness. Gusto going off hugely limited Palmer's ability to create because Gilchrist is both not a right back and also not a PL level player.

I personally have no problem wherever he goes for first team football if he can't get it in Arsenal. It is his career and I wish him the best. I really hope he can get the game time he deserves in Arsenal as he is from the academy.

I could see him bundled with Ramsdale to Newcastle. Going to Chelsea would be a stupid move unless he absolutely doesn't want to leave London.
Hopefully he stays and leave his injuries behind him.

If he were called Bruno Fernandes you'd have half this forum calling him shit and making excuses about him being the reason that the rest of the team is bad.

The stick Bruno got for his pen streak was so much worse as well.

He’s obviously a good player but I thought he was actually quite poor tonight. Showed some good balance and dribbling but he basically just cut inside over and over again and misplaced all his passes. Scored two soft as feck pens and then the flukiest winner you’ll ever see.

With Palmer, Saka, Foden and Bellingham, England has a very good batch of young players in midfield for the national team.

I like Palmer but I don't think he's anywhere near the levels of those guys to be mentioned alongside them.

I actually thought he was pretty poor tonight if you ignore just the stat line. Just about every pass and shot he attempted was blasted off the defender right in front of him.

Said to a mate earlier, he might be the greediest player I’ve seen for a long time. Got the two pens and a deflection though, so good on him. The commentary was well over the top though.

Sure if you offer £300m I agree he's gettable
This ownership will sell him for £80m to get out of an FFP breach. You just watch. Soon as we run out of pure profit Cobham players to sell, Palmer is next on that list :(
