Somebody tell him he's a professional footballer going up against professional teams. There's no excuse for playing like it's a kick about with your mates where losing the ball easily is more tolerable because we're all here just for a kick about.

Great goal. Absolutely fantastic improvisation. That said his performance was awful…yet Kelly dalgleish has just labelled him the man who has turned up in the big moments for United more than anyone else in the last few years…what moments are these? It’s pure narrative and utterly bizarre at this point.

His work rate was vital today. With Casemiro and Mainoo's lack of sprinting, we'd have been in serious trouble if Bruno wasn't playing.

The ex footballers commenting my stream picked Bruno as the United's Motm for what is worth.

So many players before Bruno in the need-to-sort asap position.

We would have to do a lot less sprinting if our players kept the ball a bit better.

Great finish for the goal but overall a 5/10 for me, gave the ball away too much and messed up some counters with sloppy passes.

Scored a screamer, did great defensively and with his work rate... But his passing was hilariously bad today, even for him

That's an issue for next season and, most likely, the next manager. You're kidding yourself if you thought we would transform into a possession based team today.

Horrendous first half but the second half is why you leave him in the team I guess. Crazy goal out of nothing and workrate was phenomenal as usual.

I still think both camps are right that say that Bruno is a fantastic player and that we should be building a team with a different kind of midfielder and we should be looking to move on.

Can pass/smash the ball into the corner from 50 yards... Can't pass 5 yards to his open teammate.

Bruno Fernandes things.

Well I only watched 2nd half so he was great from what I saw. Well taken goal and helped in some crucial situations defensively. Could've scored another one but missed the ball in that situation shortly after his goal.

I'm not seeing the great defensive display people are praising. He looked lost most of the time when United were on the back foot which was most of the game. He works hard and not smart, his workrate doesn't benefit the team as much as it should.

The goal was good, but his flaws were amplified even more today.

We all know what he is, and that is simply not good enough for a team with ambitions.

He ran a lot and scored a great goal but he was also at fault for losing possession a lot. Some would argue that's pretty much a typical Bruno display.

Jeez, where to begin? the most bizarrely brilliant and shit footballer I’ve ever seen, he gives the ball away like Santa on Christmas Eve but a moment later he pulls off shit like that goal today..I’m as confused as he obviously is whenever he steps foot onto the pitch

Great goal. Probably the only player in the team that would have scored it. But it shouldn't paper over the cracks of what was otherwise a very poor performance. Kept giving the ball away and often set up Liverpool counterattacks because of it.

He always gives 100% effort but it's seldom effective, in terms of chasing after balls he's never going to win. There's good pressing and there's stupid pressing and we just can't seem to get it right, Bruno being a major culprit.

Credit for his run back to nick the ball off Salah's toe near the end, showed his commitment which is never in question.

You don’t leave him in the team for the sake of crazy goals out of nothing. If that’s what we’re expecting we may as well pack up now.

I don’t think we’re coached to keep the ball. He’s doing what’s asked. Run around like mad men closing down and soon as you get it try and play that through ball. That’s quick transition after all. He’s not in the team for possession the manager doesn’t want that. He’s bound to give it away loads doing that

He clearly is not when the manager specifically said after the last game. “Keep the ball, make a pass, switch the play” when we have a lead

Second, but he won the CL with fecking Porto that year. He wouldn't have been anywhere near the list in a trophyless 5th place team like Bruno is, even with similar stats.
I'm Biased but Deco should have won that year, Shevchenko was a machine at Milan, but what Deco did at Porto was something else, plus he was great for Barcelona as well, great player.

I like Bruno, he usually plays very well in the national team but yeh I agree, he is nowhere near Deco's level.

Well i've been saying this since the game against Atletico Madrid all those years ago- even at his very worst he can pull an assist or a goal out of nothing. Obviously, you shouldn't build a team around that but I do get why he's left on the pitch by managers, even at his worse. His workrate is also something managers appreciate.

Personally, i'd like to see Mount get a run of games in that position though.

Lovely goal. Garnacho took one off his toe too that Hojlund played through.

Still a menace to his own team in possession.

Atrocious footballer to have in such a vital position for a top side.

For every good thing he does he has about two or three bad things to follow it. He represents the Manchester United that we are today, chaotic and unpredictable.

So you think Bruno is better than Scholes? Also who is this 30 goals a season AM who scores loads of goals and has loads of assists?
It's an offhand comment that he isn't suited for modern football. I mentioned performing like he has for four years, would see people talking about him in those terms. People forget just how good he has been (last 18 months has been crap).

How? Last season Rashford, Martinez, Casemiro were by far our best players. The season before Ronaldo was by far our best player and Bruno was terrible. This season he’s been utterly turd. I don’t get how people throw out timespans like three years and ignore performances week in week out.
Been arguing this for a while. Besides his first season when he joined in January he's never been our best player.

He's decisive and capable of moments of brilliance, but the problem is its moments.

His first full year at the club he was phenomenal, genuinely looked world class for sure. But he's now been at the club for 4 years and a half and I'd say he's been a top player for 1, good for another, and shyte for the rest. And sadly he is only getting worse, we should ship out now while there's still interest in him and can reinvest into a more stable midfield

He was really really poor today for the most part but that was some goal so I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

That was with five minutes left of the match
