Fined for what exactly?? There is nothing on his social media suggesting he aired dirty laundry. It's possible there is something going on behind the scenes but he latest post with the zipped mouth could mean anything. The club fining him would basically affirm that there is indeed something going on behind the scenes.

To be honest, I kind of understand if he is not happy with the amount of playing time he is getting. Players like Rashford get chance after chance and do nothing with it but lose the ball constantly. If he doesn't start the cup game against Coventry then he should rightly be pissed

Please. It’s clear a response to Garnacho. Doesn’t take a genius to see that. You’re arguing semantics and looking to excuse his behaviour. It’s blatantly obvious he’s telling Garnacho to zip it; as he’s the one he was subbed in for.

Also, If he’s not happy with his play time, go see the manager. Don’t run to social media. If he’s pissed, deal with it internally in the managers office; not over Instagram and Twitter. Other than that, agree. He has every right to be pissed. But deal with it professionally.

All I'm saying is let the lad actually get a handful of full games before we start saying he's this or that.

And maybe give him more credit for a good loan spell.

With United being 10 points (11 with goal difference) away from 5th place, now is the time to give the fringe players 2-3 games back to back.

Lets see what Amad can do. Garnacho can pop back over to the LW or after playing the last 25+ games straight he can have a little rest.

Is literally what he has shown for the vast majority of his professional career.

One addition it does describe what I sae at Sunderland as well as the fact he did score a hand full of lovely goals for them as I've said. Seems he has an eye for goal which is a good trait.

I'm really not sure what you're looking for here. Yes I would probably define his loan spell at Sunderland as pretty good. I personally would not go much further due to the level it was at and the fact he is 21 and not some teen.

Whether that satisfies what you're after or not I'm not sure. I truly hope he kicks on and becomes a brilliant player. I have nothing against the lad at all, just a slight question mark about some of the over-rating going on in this thread based on what he has shown so far.

I can understand people wanting to see more of the player but i think people can go a bit overboard and forget that we're not seeing everything that happens in training.

I've seen it happen so many times in the post SAF era that a player will almost become the savior of our season if only the idiot manager would actually pick him, e.g., why does Moyes not see it with Kagawa, did he not see how good he was at Dortmund? Why isn't Jose playing Andreas Pereira, did he not see how well we played in pre-season with him in the team? why is Ole not picking Donny VdB, did he not see how Ajax destroyed Real Madrid in the champions league? etc.

Ten Hag on his efforts in training after the Liverpool game:

He does not always get the time to play he deserves by his training performances but then he is coming on, then he shows his contribution, scoring a goal. But we know he can do it, we know he has the key moments where he can decide a game.

Or it suggests Ten Hag's decision making isn't great. At the end of the day we don't have to see what's going on the training ground, we have seen how badly Rashford has played this season, yet Ten Hag refuses to drop him.

It’s Ten Hag on record saying Amad trains well and deserves game time because of how well he trains? It’s hardly speculation, it’s to put to bed the claims that Amad doesn’t train well. You have Fletcher’s comments on the requirements needed, whilst we have Rashford stinking up the place, a walking contradiction to Ten Hag’s requirements, never getting dropped.

My mistake, I quoted the wrong quote from your exchange with @Irwin99. My point was: Irwin99 speculated as to wether it was training that puts others ahead of Amad for playing time, you brought forth Ten Hag’s absolutely interesting quotes post Liverpool (indeed giving arguments why Amad should play more), Irwin99 nuances that it could be other needs TH has from his players, you speculate that it’s because TH is not a good coach (partly contradicting your own TH quote?). Whereas Fletchers interview post Liverpool is a bit more specific as to what Amad still is developping (to which the L’pool game was a clear step forward, though not necessarily the end station).

My take-home from this, is that Amad trains very well, but is lacking (yet) in game understanding, particularily in off-the-ball aspects (which is 95% of the game). He has gotten feed back from the coaching team and is starting to implement it just now.

The idiot interpretation is that ETH has no principles or structure demands for team movement, it looks disordered so it must be total chaos, and that Ten Hag, because he is stupid, will always a player who plays rubbish in a match over one who plays well in training if he gets to choose.

A more likely interpretation for me is that the team looks disordered because Ten Hag is struggling to get the players to understand and execute his movement principles and structure demands, and that as disappointing as Rashford, Antony and a few times Garnacho has been on the ball or tracking back (occasionally), they are still better at understanding Ten Hag’s demands for off-the-ball movement, and that TH prioritizes this over technical ability exactly because team disorder is the biggest issue this season.

Honestly Ten Hag not playing Amad against Coventry then i really want him sacked ASAP.

I give my players the support. The players have given up on him and so have i. I would rather lose against coventry and get Ten Hag sacked today.

How can you not play this youngster against bloody coventry?

We are playing our best squad 11 against coventry like he is scared we would lose this.

Nearly every other team atleast changes the goalkeeper on these cup games - not with Ten Hag.

He’s almost certainly never starting under ten Hag. Don’t stress too much, there’s only a maximum of 8 more games to go.

Just hope we get an appropriate loan sorted very early next summer or the new manager gives him a chance. And he stays lucky with injury.

It’s not “bloody Coventry”. It’s the FA cup semi final - the biggest match of our season thus far. Obviously we won’t be starting a player who has barely featured all year. It wouldn’t make any sense.

Him playing these players shows unconfidence.

We have won plenty of FA Cups Post SAF & not a single one has been called as a successful season by our own fans. Not under Van Gaal, not under Mourinho, not Ten Hag.

No one loves it now, no one loves it in the future.

Id rather get 2 months of extra squad training with an interim tbh.

if that's the thing everyone in the team is being held for, when you see Rashford jogging around where is the same 95% he is seeing with him? or AWB or even Dalot(has improved from last year is that the standard we are hoping for?) - I would go as far as to say only Bruno does that off the ball aspects well and overdoing it too probably because he has to do it for all the other 3 people in the team.
