Poor old Tony Marshall
Stupid if it's a chronic injury that in reality is never going to sort itself out like with Jones or Owen Hargreaves, sure. Its even more stupid for a crock to agree with termination. Chances are that they would just be injured for less money somewhere else.
The whole termination idea is just ridiculous and one of the most stupid and unrealistic things i read on this forum.
That's right, there'll be a whole bunch of completely different players that need moving on.It'll truely be a new dawn when Martial, Lindelof, Sancho, Donny and a few others are no longer at the club.
You'd like to think that won't be as much of an issue in the future with the new structure upstairs, as we'll no longer have investment bankers in charge of making footballing decisions. That's right, there'll be a whole bunch of completely different players that need moving on.
Not sure that would be very legal, treading a very fine line there.I would have postponed his operation to summer. Let him do it when he's out of the club
It’s not like he got injured on ski vacation.I would have postponed his operation to summer. Let him do it when he's out of the club
I don't care how he got injured. He's been useless for us for years and he's going to be useless till the end of the season. He might as well be useless once he's out of the club as well. We're not talking about a Roy Keane here who gave his heart and soul to the club. I don't think I've ever saw Martial sweat in a red devil's shirt. Of course if he feels that he wants to be fit for the summer then he can always hop in at the office and revise his contract terms. Till then surely we can find a doctor or two who think that this operation can be postponed to the summer. It's a groin injury (I spent months with one until I got operated) not open heart surgery. It’s not like he got injured on ski vacation.
If its legal then we should have done it. I am sick to the teeth of players taking advantage of us.Not sure that would be very legal, treading a very fine line there.
We're finally getting de JongSo, we will get a striker in won't we? I would definitely try and sign Luuk de Jong on loan. Granted, he's another Dutch player and playing for PSV now. He's doing really well there, possibly winning the Dutch league. It seems impossible to lure him to United this season.
I think Koeman is right: every team needs a player like De Jong when chasing a goal and who is fantastic with headers. Much better than Weghorst and McTominay in that regard.
Should never play for us again, not only would I rather we give chances the likes of Kai Rooney but Id rather we play McTominay as a striker than him.So looking at mid April for Martial to be back in training then late April for him to be match fit so you can safely say he’s done at United and may get a few minutes in the last couple of games as a send off, criminally wasted talent as he looked a world beater at 19-20 years old.
I agree that fully that he shouldn’t but the likliehood is by late April we’ll have nothing at all to play for so it’s likely Martial would get a few minutes off the bench, I’d give the minutes to Hugill or McNeil if they were still at the club and I’ve got high hopes for Rooney.Should never play for us again, not only would I rather we give chances the likes of Kai Rooney but Id rather we play McTominay as a striker than him.
I’m looking forward when he has his testimonial in the summer, be a chance to see Phil Jones play again in a Shipped Deadwood vs Retained Deadwood XIShould never play for us again, not only would I rather we give chances the likes of Kai Rooney but Id rather we play McTominay as a striker than him.
You want us to play a 14 year old?Should never play for us again, not only would I rather we give chances the likes of Kai Rooney but Id rather we play McTominay as a striker than him.
At this point he has more of a future at the club than MartialYou want us to play a 14 year old?
I don’t think we are THAT desperate.
It would be very disappointing if he did, hopefully we won't be so injury-ridden that that becomes a possibility. I'd rather have a square peg in a round hole there.I agree that fully that he shouldn’t but the likliehood is by late April we’ll have nothing at all to play for so it’s likely Martial would get a few minutes off the bench, I’d give the minutes to Hugill or McNeil if they were still at the club and I’ve got high hopes for Rooney.
Not holding my breath. You'd like to think that won't be as much of an issue in the future with the new structure upstairs, as we'll no longer have investment bankers in charge of making footballing decisions.
Maybe, but that doesn’t mean he ready for elite men football though. At this point he has more of a future at the club than Martial
5-10 sympathy farewell minutes in the last league game of the season maybe. If he’s out for 10 weeks then I’m fairly sure we’re not seeing him play for us again.
How do you mean?Martial should be used as a case study for our new era of senior football staff to reference to say this is how you don’t do it and we’re never going down this route again.
Some many things wrong with this post I don’t know where to startProbably won't see him again playing for us.
What a sad ending for one of the best talents we had the last decade.
He should have left in 2022. I still find it ridiculous that he left for Sevilla because he didn't want to play for Rangnick and we allowed him to come back.
Looking at what 70 , 80 60 and 50 mill has gotten us and showed us the 50 on Martial is not down the drain.50 million down the drain came back to bite us in the ass
Keep a failing player at the club with a terrible injury record rewarding him with a 5 and a half year contract that means we’ve been unable to get rid for years now.How do you mean?
So I guess you don't consider him one of the best talents we had the last ten years (curious to learn how many players were more talented) and you are OK with a player giving an interview saying that he decided that didn't want to work with the manager before even meeting him. Some many things wrong with this post I don’t know where to start
I never got the feeling Tevez didn't like playing football, I got the feeling he had zero loyalty and didn't care about upsetting anyone.I’ve always had the feeling that Martial is a professional footballer who doesn’t actually enjoy playing football. A bit similar to Tevez except the latter is way more talented and hardworking.
