    Dreadful stuff in the main.

Martinez looks better than I expected given how little he has played is probably the only positive other than not being behind.

Need a few changes, up front is not working, get Ras on, could push McT back and pull Amrabat who has been terrible. Diallo has been pretty crap as well, getting rushed off the ball.

Get on a CB for Casemiro to move into Amrabat's role. Get off McTominay who is doing...whatever it is he's doing.

I'm confused about bookings - would Bruno miss the cup final with a second yellow? If so get him off too.

Also, just get back into defensive banks. BHA are really good at avoiding the press, so just don't bother. They're not exactly great with the ball. That's why their record is so awful this season. We're making them look good by playing to their strengths.

Brighton look like a well coached team, even with the injuries holding them back, and a pointless game. Like a decent coach would have his team.

United are lucky not to be behind, as per usual, so still some chance to win this dead rubber. Brighton will run out of steam, they will grow increasingly vulnerable on the break, though they have some firepower to bring from the bench. Amrabat needs to be taken off as a matter of urgency, however.

Can’t remember a time where I’ve genuinely felt so low about United, everything seems so laboured.. they don’t do the basics, and then constantly make stupid decisions in possession .. can’t wait for the season to end,
    something’s got to change

Move on? Some fans are so fecking rude for no sake. Good on you if you are happy with your 2 game sample size.
Why are you so upset that I said he was ok in our last two games? I honestly don't get it!

If I said Amad was good in the last two games, what would you say?

Brighton play really good football, but their kids aren't clinical. Story of de zerbi's season.

With Newcastle winning 3-0, we can't get the 7th spot now. Please rest Bruno, Garnacho and Mainoo.

Amrabat and McTominay are 2 sore thumbs, they stick out by a mile as players who dont have the abilities to play in our midfield. Amrabat has constantly lost the ball to Brighton's pressing players with no awareness whatsoever of players around him
While Amrabat's tendency to play in first gear while everyone around him is in fourth is notable, its not just him and McTominay dropping a stinker.

Our passing, particularly out of defence is horrendous. Looking at how often the pass out of defence hits the opponent in the shins, its crazy we have even tried to pass out from the back this season.

The technical level of our team is abysmal. And yet, even then, Bruno should probably have an assist but McTominay couldn't hit the target from within the box.

So much change required. How did we spend £1 billion to end up here..?

It was a full effort performance against Newcastle, so you just knew this would be the opposite.

This might be because I'm watching 3 games at once, so United don't have my full attention, but I think we're playing alright. Seems to be a good structure to our midfield. Just lacking a little creativity.

Why call for resting any of these players? We're going to get hammered by City rested or not.

That’s the spirit, turn on one of our better performing players who happens to be a teenager.
What? I think he should not be misused otherwise we ruin him. He needs to learn to play the defensive game without destroying his self confidence.

The league position massively flatters us.
It really does we’ve played football more befitting a team in 13-16th place. All this give ETH time is nonsense the same patterns will apply next year, one decent performance followed by one terrible then one average, he’s just not suitable to manage a big elite club, let him go to Bayern and watch them suffer under this inept coach, he has to go hopefully after FA CUP final, we have a 2% chance of wining we just have to hope we don’t get thrashed!

Positional sense of this team is laughable. What does McTominay actually think he is doing when off the ball that is effective? He makes it so easy for teams to play through us because everyone else has to over commit. Just glad it's the last league game of the season.

Missed the first half, but apparently I didn't miss much.
So much for ending on a high eh, and feck Brentford for not bothering to turn up.

I thought the Moyes season was rock bottom at the time. Ten years later, here we are.

Guys, the league is done and we have a cup final next week against the current champions. It’s understandable that this game will be a bit dull. Players will wanna come through the game unscathed and with as little fatigue as possible to start in a game that actually matters. The difference between 3 points and 1 doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference to us.

Somebody tell the lads Newcastle are winning 3-0, so we can win the match without the risk of being in the Conference League.

We are under constant pressure and seem unable to complete passes in their half. One single chance and that was McT skiing the ball into row Z. The amount of time we lose the ball in our half is staggering.

if you have the right players, yes but not for Dalot :wenger:

If you don't have the players for it, you should never force a tactic, that's idiotic. We can't retain the ball nor protect the backline
I guess disagree and move on. It's clear to me that if you don't build up in a 3-2 structure it's too easy to press and you are in a worse situation than having a guy like Dalot be the extra man in midfield. AWB is worse than Dalot in that regard, so I'm happy that it's Dalot.

You have to put Dalot somewhere and I don't see any alternatives from you that I can argue against.

Agreed, and the bizarre thing is if we don't choke away the Chelsea and Burnley games we're sitting in 6th.

This display today is awful. Absolutely awful maybe not Palace awful, but not far off.
