My god, he’s leaving a club. Jog on then. Tara.

But no, this insufferable twat laps up the attention like he’s the second coming. How many more videos is he going to make addressing the fans? Attention seeking at its finest.

All he has to do now is record himself in an empty stadium sitting in the centre circle in full contemplation like Varane (also absolutely ridiculous), oh wait….. I believe he already has.

All this over the top nonsense is just making the transition to Slot all the more difficult.

I hate the cnut but don't be like that. You are better than this and its just football.
Nah, I'm not. The way they're going on and some of the stuff that's being done it's like he's fecking died. I was talking to some Liverpool fan yesterday they were saying about all the stuff that was going on. Nauseating stuff, I said the same thing, he's only leaving, he's not fecking dead.

Mail on sport headline. Klopps farewell followed by City are champions. Seriously this wankfest is on another level. I can honestly see an open top bus parade happening with the players holding Klopp on their shoulders!

Chompers is obviously a great manager, and horse teeth aside, it’s easy to respect the job he’s done there. Glad he’s leaving our biggest rival. In hindsight we are very lucky that 115 FC were around to block his path to more trophies.

Despite having to deal with Pep’s runaway leaders, there’s only so much credit you can give to old Pegasus. The media love in and hyperbole has been off the chain, with talk of “greatest ever” PL sides etc., yet Seabiscuit leaves with just one PL trophy. One. And even that was won behind closed doors, with significantly less pressure than any title in living memory. I

To be frank, it’s nowhere near good enough to warrant the collective drop to the knees and slurp and gulp being performed by pundits and journalists alike. He’s finished below United in the league in nearly half of the seasons he has been in charge. This during an era where he miraculously built “the best side in Premier League history”, and United were being led by Moyes, Solksjaer and company, and racking up their worst competitive decade in nearly half a century..

It’s obvious never mentioned in the media, especially in light of his sudden and tragic passing, but I’ll always be highly suspicious of some of the clubs methodology during his tenure. Specifically the egregious use of medical exemptions for asthma drugs, which essentially serve as legal PEDs or masking agents for other PEDs. Following the media narrative, I’m sure I should be offering instead my humble sympathies to a manager who built the best team to ever grace the land, all while having to do so with a squad suffering a 1,200% increase in asthma suffering compared to the general population. #hero. But at the risk of sullying the recently departed, I just can’t.

Rest in Peace, Desert Orchid, Gone but not forgotten. Running free in that pasture in the sky.

I eagerly await the new national holiday.

And he hanothing to do with that?

Are you telling me a manager who was there for 5 years and won a CL and PL at the time of their rebuild, was revered by the fanbase, had no say in the composition of his team? Are we only going to give him plaudits and absolve him of any responsibilities in their decline?

The mental gymnastics surrounding Klopp is incredible, and I say this as someone who watched a lot of his Dortmund and defended him when half the Caf still thought he was a ‘hipster’ manager.

The hardest thing for a manager to fight against is stagnation, and in that regard, only Guardiola can claim to rival Fergie, other greats, the likes of Ancelotti and Mourinho, and now Klopp, all went through big slumps in their career when their method stopped working and had to recharge or seek pastures new.
I'm not saying he had nothing to do with that, I'm just saying it's a big part of the reason they are not that good currently.

I wonder how many bales of hay Bayern are going to throw in his direction come next year.

How can that be when the legendary Arsenal side from 1998 to 2004 who are praised as all time greats in the English game failed to make as much as a semi final in Europe? Compare that to how many English teams appearances in the CL final in the Klopp and Pep era?
Fergie was winning League titles from 1993 to 2013.

So as I was at a football tournament all yesterday, I've thankfully missed all things City and Liverpool related, however, I wish to know, did Klopp make himself look like the cringey tosser he always was?

The relative strength in Europe is much worse now. Back in that era you had strong Italian clubs, Spanish clubs and German clubs.

Now you only count real madrid and bayarn as the two clubs outside of England who can win the CL

He will go down as the manager who gained Liverpool their first league title in 34yrs, and not a single fan was there to see it happen, justice was done.

It’s fecking bizarre

He’s a top manager but he’s not even been there a decade and his trophy haul is hardly earth shattering.

I’ve seen this variously described as 7 major trophies and 5 major trophies in the BBC in the past week. Let’s be real, it’s three tops.

Watching the wankfest yesterday it felt more like a pity party for what could have been rather than a celebration of amazing achievement and longevity.

I dunno if I’m projecting or reading too much into it, but I got the vibe he was going through the motions somewhat yesterday for the fans sake. He’s clearly mentally checked out and might have been slightly embarrassed having all the fanfare having just ballsed up his final season.

After 25 years of (mostly) struggling they got in a brilliant manager and played their best football in decades. Won them the title after 30 years of suffering, it's huge. Anyway, I hope he doesn't come back and either retires or goes to manage German NT/Bayern etc.

Arsenal did underperform in Europe but it's also worth noting that Europe was stronger back then.

Would’ve expected nothing less from them lot. Hilarious send off. Hilarious that the one title they did win not a single cnut was there to see it.

This is what happens when you mix the cringe of the Scousers with the cringe of a German. It's a whole new level.

It’s weird how you guys flick between saying the league is a stitch-up and no team can challenge City when it suits you. And then when anyone tries to give credit to City’s closest challenger (probably alongside Arsenal given the last 2 seasons) you just count the trophies he’s won and refuse to contextualise it in the way I know you can.

You can't lay claim to being one of the best when your title haul is one. You also can't really point at the missed titles when the ones you've missed out add up to the same number a thoroughly underwhelming Manchester United missed out on in the same time period.

A fantastic manager, far better than any Liverpool will appoint in the next 20+ years, and only one Premier League title* to show for it. Auf wiedersehen!
