According to BBC...:nervous:

Reds accept £80m Ronaldo bidManchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.

£80m, fair enough.

He's off then.

Shame, the best player I've ever seen at United and almost irreplaceable.

Let Rooney be Rooney
It's at his request so I assume that means we don't have to pay any loyalty bonus and signing on fee remaining.

Decent money, you have to say.

But bit of a blow (!), as to get a top class replacement will also be very expensive with the market as it is.

Even though it was coming i am really quite shocked, even more so because this means prices for players that we are interested in are going to sky rocket

Now that's not really good news though... but he also put in a request according to Sky, and the money is right.

I know my brain's telling me otherwise considering they still haven't sorted that sorry excuse for a defence, but Real will have a scary attack next year.

I think it was coming, it seems that there was some sort of agreement between Ronaldo, Sir Alex and Real.
I was really sure he wouldn't be gone until next summer actually.

:(

Oh well, Ribery/Benzema it is.

Best player I've seen play in the premiership... devastated.

Juventus used the money they got for Zidance wisely, thankfully we have the best manager in the world to do the same.

My Money is on Anderson, Nani and the Yoof stepping up.

Rally around Wayne, he is the heartbeat of our team.

Sad to see Ronaldo go, but he's done everything he can do here, time for him to move on earlier than expected to see that the only way to go after United is down.

It was about time we no longer had the Ronaldo nonsense going. No idea how we will replace him, roll on transfer muppetry... It will be a long summer.
