I think the key is what direction you want America to go in (assuming you're a voter). Unless this Reade allegation proves founded - in which case I assume the DNC will have to pivot to Sanders (?) - the candidates in November are Joe Biden and Donald Trump. One of those two will be President, that's your choice.
So, say climate change is your number one priority. Between Biden and Trump, who is more likely to do more damage?
Say healthcare is the most important thing to you. Between Biden and Trump, who is more likely to make healthcare better in the US?
Maybe America's position on the world stage matters to you. Between Biden and Trump, who is more likely to improve the US' standing?
Maybe you just like having experts being appointed to positions where they specialise. Maybe having Rick Perry on energy, Stephen Miller on racism and everything else with Jared Kushner isn't your preferred setup.
Maybe you just want a bit of balance against the GOP senate, so that every judge doesn't have to be appointed by Mitch McConnell.
The line that a Biden presidency and a Trump presidency are equal is reductionist to the point of absurdity. To paraphrase some columnist or another (Sedaris I think?) it's like you're on a plane, and the stewardess offers you chicken or a sh*t sandwich, and you respond by asking how the chicken is cooked.
