I might even bother watching. Which is something considering that it is only cricket.

Good morning and welcome to this the 5th and final Ashes test match.

England need only a draw to win the Ashes and the Aussies need a win to sneak a drawn series.

The toss is yet to be taken but it's been said whoever wins should bat first.

England are yet to name their side with only one change due to Simon (the Aussie destroyer) Jone's ankle injury, as yet this has not been announced.

So while waiting for play to begin feel free to abuse the XXXX drinking, kangaroo shagging, vegimite eating convicts as much as you want.

Howzat?

Toss is very important, i expect the pitch to be heavily in favour of the batsman.

Hard, dry pitch out there. McGrath's getting plenty of bounce

Great partnership by Flintoff and Strauss, but I cant see England getting more than 340 or so, they needed to hang on untill the close. The most critical moment is IMO at what the state of play is when Strauss goes.

At the absence of an Australian supporter I'll take this one. It was 387 during the last one.

Not looking good for England, Runs are improtant but they should occupy the pitch for a lot more time as well.
With Collingwood playing, Aussies could get 500+ in their first inninigs and they generally score them quickly so plenty of time to get a result !

The Aussie could get 500 but they haven't got over 400 yet and if we bowl properly we can slow their scoring rate down. There could be some rain breaks as well which wouldmake the wicket do a bit more. It's still in the balance, we need to get to 400 tomorrow and preferably take our time doing it
