That's not the reason.
Quite clearly is. He was superb at the start of the season when Saha was fully fit, he was superb when Larsson was at the club, and he was superb playing with RvN.
But I guess thats all just a coincidence?

Ahhh, the mercurial Rooney_______10. Glad to see your'e still talking wet.
How does Torres compare to your bum buddy Saha?

Talent and quality is worth nothing if you're not on the pitch.
You dismissed the Torres goal because he didnt have to jump, was unmarked and compared him to Rooney or Tevez.
Adebeyor is going to have more passes because Arsenal have most of the possession even when they lose. Both have the same number of assists if you include the last Liverpool match. Its about quality and not just quantity.

Two years is more than a dip in form.

go on caftards, who you think is the better and I'm not referring to who you would rather have at united out of the two. I just mean in general, who is the better striker.
Look at it this way, would torres have scored more goals if he was at arsenal or would have adebayor scored more goals if he was at liverpool.
Edit: I'm bored out of my mind and figured time would pass by easier this way.
He was also superb from about November through to January of this season.
Mate, the fact that his finishing has been erratic (not to say shite) has nothing to do with where he's played.
His first touch and shots from distance, in most times, have been Conference Football quality. That has nothing to do with his position either.
While it's true that he's better at playing as a withdrawn striker, it's far from being the sole reason for his displays.
Talent and quality is worth nothing if you're not on the pitch.
He didnt score in November in the league. His only league game in November was Arsenal, in which he was meh. December in the league he scored one goal...against Sunderland. We played Fulham, Derby and Everton at home, none of which he shone in, and Liverpool away where he set up the goal inadvertently but missed a sitter. In January he had a good game against Newcastle but so did all of our players, and he scored a great goal against Reading, but other than that I wouldnt say he was superb. Villa in the Cup he was great as a sub, although I seem to remember Ronaldo was playing upfront by then and Rooney was dropping deeper.
He was brilliant in October. I think that coincided with him scoring a couple goals for England (playing behind Owen). Must have done wonders for his confidence.
6. Fergie didn't rest him he picked up a knock and was injured if I remember correctly.
10. Even though I agree with you that he is the best player in the england squad, it still very debatable. You could make a case for rio for example. Also, he is not better than anyone else in the world. ie., ronaldo is better than him. You could also make cases for kaka, messie, and so on.
Woooossshhhhhhhh
FFS...when you will ever understand ?
FACTS -
1. Rooney is not a striker
2. He contributes a lot to the team than goals. Its unfair to expect a forward to score regularly from one on one chances
3. He has been played out of position. If he was a second striker, he will score one on one's instead of missing them
4. He has been injured, so its fine to spurn chances
5. The FA are against him - he was suspended for a pre season red card and he lost his form
6. He missed a match because Fergie rested him and lost his form
7. He is a class act. Attempting chips and missing 5 chances shows more technical ability than just placing them into the net.
8. Who is called the White Pele ?
9. He scored a wonder goal against Newcastle...that one is better than scoring 20 silly goals like Torres or Adebeyor
10. He is the best player in the England squad..that makes him better than anyone else in the world.
Rooney has been for the most of it unlucky, has been hit with awful injuries at key stages in his season. I think hes done well this season and looked unstopable until he got injured, I still feel he'll find that form again before the season finishes.
I cant really see a key thing suggesting why his performances have been in and out over the past year unless you believe leading the line hinders his performances and I have watched tevez and rooney a fair few times and they do switch rooney doesnt lead the line always.
OK, I said the wrong months.
But there was a period where he was fantastic.
Plus, we cannot win without him.
You generally and constantly say the wrong things. It doesn't come as a surprise.
Thats something I partly agree with. If you took Rooney and Ronaldo out of our side, we will struggle to win against midtable sides. One or both of them are involved in almost every chance that we create and score.
Both of them had average games against Pompey but all the best chances were created by them. Nani put one good cross in and Evra was involved in a couple of moves.
You're partly right, but a lot of it has to do with us lacking a competent replacement for Wayne. Ronaldo cannot be replaced because there's no one out there who can give us what he does. The best players cannot be replaced, and Ronaldo fits that criteria.
You generally and constantly say the wrong things. It doesn't come as a surprise.
Stupid, coming from a person saying we cannot win without rooney.
Remember also that Adebayor was the majority of the games playing as a alone striker with 5 men midfield.
Them both have been fantastic for their teams, Adebayor was carrying Arsenal on the league until he cut his hair and ran out of gas and Torres is hitting form lately with hat tricks.
Adebayor obviously! Rio Ferdinand rated him highly, he said that adebayor is hardest player he has come up against. Look at how ferdinand kept torres quit in the last game. Adebayor caused our defence mayhem, Just have a look at the first goal fabregas scored against us at the emiretes this season.
If you saw Adbeyaor against Milan, He was immense. He breezed past nesta and oddo and not with just speed but with strength which doesn't happen often against the milan defence, especially nesta!
OK, I said the wrong months.
But there was a period where he was fantastic.
Yeah I saw that, didn't Rio say that he was the hardest striker he played againt last season ?
I think Wes agreed with him also.
By the way, we once tried to buy Adebayor off Arsenal.
Without Rooney, our strikers are :
Tevez.
Because Saha is always injured.
So he's pretty much right. We'd find it very difficult to win without Rooney as he's one of our only 2 sometimes-fit strikers.
......And if you see he's performances against us, you can see why they said that!
I prefer Adebayor.
How the feck can people be saying Torres by miles...theyre both tied on goals.
Also, Torres is fit.
