Whatever happens, there are always things you coul
go on caftards, who you think is the better and I'm not referring to who you would rather have at united out of the two. I just mean in general, who is the better striker.
Look at it this way, would torres have scored more goals if he was at arsenal or would have adebayor scored more goals if he was at liverpool.

Edit: I'm bored out of my mind and figured time would pass by easier this way.

Adebayor and Torres are actually very similar. Both adept at leading the line (though I think Adebayor can do it on his own, better than Torres can). Both big, strong and quick (though Torres is lightning). I think Adebayor's style is more ungamely than that of Torres, which is very pleasing to the eye.

Both players are prone to miss the odd chance (i.e. they are not master finishers in the van Nistelrooy ilk) but generally they are scoring a shit load of goals.

There is very little to split the two players. I would probably plump for Torres as he is more sophisticated as a player.

Torres. By a country mile.

I think Adebayor is a flash in the pan 2/3 season wonder who will fade away unlike Torres who will define a generation along with the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Messi, Kaka, Fabregas etc

Adebayor.

Its important to remember that Adebayor will also do some of the less pretty, but necessary, things. He'll win more headers, hold the ball up better, and generally be involved in the team build up more. He's one of very few strikers in the world who is excellent playing off a main striker, playing as a target man, or running in behind.

Torres is better infront of goal but all round Adebayor is better imo.

Couldnt disagree more. Torres is not someone I would describe as big and strong. Certainly not in comparison with Adebayor. He is poor in the air, poor at holding the ball up, and generally poor at linking up in general play. However is a brilliant finisher.

Torres is a more elegant player, better touch and more composure in front of goal. Adebayor has improved enormously this season - 12 months ago the comparison would have been laughed out of court.

Torres is by far the better finisher and perhaps more skillful BUT Adebayor has more strength, tenacity, ability to toughen it out, aerial advantage, awkwardness and cuntishness.

Basically Torres is better at football but Adebayor would kick his ass in a fight?

I agree.

The other issue here is that Torres has been prolific in his first season. Adebayor looked out of his depth for the first year in England.

Rubbish

Correct

Agree with demapples here.

Torres may have gained a girly reputation for his looks, but he has a sturdy frame and has coped well with the physicality of the league.

If people say that Saha has presence and strength, then I'm sorry, but Torres does too.

I meant poor in comparison to Adebayor.

Hes reasonable in the air, but is a completely different style of player to Adebayor.

He's like Ronaldo in that respect; called a diving pansy when he first came but now he's such a powerful runner and is great in the air.

Tough decision. They both are great.

Adebayor is stronger in the air and fast as feck, skillful and doesnt need a partner to make defences struggle.

Torres is a fantastic finisher, fast and has pace.

Torres is better in the air than Adebeyor. Because of his height, Adebeyor will win more knockdowns like Crouch but put in a proper cross and Torres is more likely to put the ball into the net.

The rest of your post is rubbish.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Adebayor has scored shit loads of headers, I cant remember any by Torres...

Basically Torres turns on the rival goal keepers and defenders with his charm, they get wanking and Torres scores!!!!!

He scored a header the other week against West Ham.

He was unmarked. He didnt even need to jump.

I cant remember a header where he has outjumped a defender and headed in.

Using that goal to say hes good in the air is like saying Tevez's header against Chelsea makes him good in the air. To say hes better than Adebayor (in the air) is beyond retarded.
