We are in September I suggest you learn how to count if you think it's 6 months until January
Do they teach common-sense after counting where you come from? Player sitting 4 months out will take a another couple to get playing.

he can play competitive games he could play every U23 game as a "trialist" or behind closed doors game we care to arrange to stay fit.

The Club have insisted all along that they got the documentation off in time, assuming they did there will be a computer log of the exact time and any decent IT professional would find the exact time it reached the FIFA servers which would be earlier than their inbox, the FA accept we got it done in time, so do the Portuguese, I still see him being cleared to play for us fairly soon.

Ok. Didn't realise you were a Leicester fan and a bit invested in it. Hope it works out and he does well.

What a weird situation. Can they not make some extenuating circumstance claim? Like Big Ben was down so our clocks were off? Or perhaps the opposite "Nah mate, your clock's wrong, it was within the limit".

Or perhaps they should have just set their alarms for 8:29am that morning.

Imagine this: You were going to be on time for the bus with few minutes to spare. You tripped and injured your ankle, which sums up your day nicely having just earlier being made redundant from your job and also found out your partner was cheating on you when you called her to tell her the news. Dragging your sorry body to the bus stop hoping the day would end, you missed the bus by a mere 14 seconds and you saw the bus driver looking at you and drove off. It was dark. Suddenly there was a sharp pain coming from the back. You realised you have been stabbed and saw someone running off with your possession. Lights starting to fade out on you. And you asked yourself why oh why did the driver not waited the 14 seconds for you.
Holy shit, this is like some rawkish poetry.

At the end of the day the driver may be an ass but he didn't stab you or nick your belongings. I'd suggest getting a car so you don't have to rely on public transport.

Without it, clubs like Leicester would be having their players poached throughout the season.
The transfer window is needed, but the way the deadline is actually implemented is stupid

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Can't even get to a bus on time? No wonder his boss sacked him and his partner cheated on him.

Deserves everything he got.

So has this deal now been concluded, with the January transfer window now open?

Ah okay, thanks guys.

Always thought it was particularly tough on him being a World Cup year being sidelined for half a season.

He also played in the FA Cup game. He was a bit rusty in that match but that's understandable. If he gets some game time and avoid injuries he will go to the WC. Fernando Santos is very loyal to the group of players that won the Euro.

Was he invited to any of the squads in the first half of the season? I guess he would have been free to play international football, and it would have been a nice gesture to give him a few minutes or so.

I think he was called up when he was still at Sporting but after that he wasn't. Fernando Santos still mantained regular contact with him though.

I hope so. Him and Manuel Fernandes have been doing well at Lokomotiv Moscow. He's like a good luck charm and who knows perhaps he can surprise again
