Fantastic season he has had, built on last year massively. The issue again, no older player in front him that can nurture him into a top player. You would have hoped it be Rashford, but that's not happening.

7 goals in the league, next season will be key for him. Hopefully a new manager and better players to help him grow.

Costs us yet another game by being a selfish cnut, I wouldn't start him in another game this season.
Good job you're limited to being a manager in a computer game then, he's 19 years old and is still learning the game, teenagers are generally the most selfish cnuts on the planet, not just in football either, if he was 23 then you might have a valid point but he's not

Guess what I don't give a feck how old he his.

Don't expect this team to go anywhere when you have pricks like this in the team who only care about themselves.

I bet you said the same about Ronaldo and Rooney making mistakes at the same age.

It is down to the manager to point out the flaws in his game and coach him to iron them out and a better coach than ten Hag will do that I'm sure.

We're too overliant on Garnacho, Hojlund and Mainoo and it's stifling them.

Difference is Ronaldo and Rooney were not selfish 100% of the time, Garnacho is.

Just like Rashford he just dribbles into a crowd or just shoots whenever he can, never looks up for anyone.

Why is it always someone else's problem not the player in question on this site.

Indeed and you can see that from this season even with ten Hag, Garnacho's defensive side of the game has dramatically improved, still a way to go but you can see the progress

So who put it on Maguire's head the other day?

Maybe some of us have a better grasp of what we're talking about, Ronaldo at that age was a selfish as they come, anyone who ever watched him at that age knew that

Exactly, one of the reasons why Ruud got infuriated with Ronaldo was the lack of service when he was in good positions.

Every young player is the same, they have to make the mistake to learn from it, I'm sure Garnacho will be even better next season. He's definitely one of the very few players I'm not worried about after this season.

I think it was the 50 stepovers that did it, I'm not woried either about Garnacho, he's scored the goal of the season for fecks sake!

I can only imagine what you’d have done to season 1 and 2 Ronaldo.

shocked he gets a free pass tonight,
Him and Kobbie almost always do, probably because they're young academy players. They both have promise but in reality what we're getting from these guys vs what's expected from Man United starters in those roles, it's no where near not enough.
Most on here would rather focus on clearing the older deadwood and hope that these two mature in a couple of years so they can be judged properly.

Same story with every young player who comes through. Overhype and under deliver.

But I'm going to hold off trying to fairly judge either Gernacho or Mainoo until we have a decent coach. No fecker could give the best account of themselves in Ten Hag's chaotic system

Seemed like he was completely isolated every time he got the ball yesterday. No full-back or striker to play off. It's also becoming clear, that he can't really beat a man often enough.

They should both ideally be impact subs at this stage but like you said we're in a position where we're so bad we need them as key starters.

He is the only player in our current squad I am sure will become a top player, either in a reshaped United side or somewhere else.
I'm not sure with him or Mainoo at this point. These are key developmental years and we've seen more talented players than them fizzle out for plenty of reasons ( injury, coaching off the field stuff etc) They are definitely our best two prospects but definitely not sure things yet.

Last few weeks he’s started to edge down the Rashford path of over doing it and not releasing at the right time. I’m sure the lad is probably shattered by now as he has been running his arse off for months but hipefully these corrections can be ironed out soon so he doesn’t become that one trick pony.

But its normal to get these kind of performances from young players. Garnacho and Mainoo are both 19, they are far too young to be relied upon and they need the support of the senior players which they clearly aren't getting. Even Rooney and Ronaldo at that age were inconsistent, but they still had the likes of Rio, keane, RVN, giggs, scholes etc in the side.

I feel for Garnacho. If he isn’t getting goal or an assist in that side - who is?

This is how I feel about our entire forward line. Garnacho, Hojlund and Antony/Amad should all be impact subs. Problem is, we have no starters.

Much more leniency with the younger guys, it's not his fault he's basically top choice now with Rashford (the supposedly senior player out of form).

Our issue is our senior players, bar Bruno, this season have been absolutely dross. Bad signings, bad attitudes, bad luck, bad tactics.

Yup, and no spending power to get any starters. Awesome.

If we buy a new striker in the summer and a new manager can get a tune out of Rashford and Sancho then we might not be too far away from decent depth. Or even if we sell those two and the other guy in spain that should free up enough funds to buy two players in those positions.
