Yeah, he’s really starting to settle now. He is still young, too. Hopefully he can keep improving and dominate everything. He’s a very special player.
How's he doing so far? Honestly haven't watched Chelsea this season or even heard of him until he signed for them.
I don't watch a lot of Liverpool games but the ones I've watched he's been top class, really good buy for them. He was costly but like VVD he was exactly what they needed.
I did not watch the game but Espn Brasil was blaming him in the twitter for the Burnley goal.
I'd be looking at his defence more on that, scrappy goal, not the keepers fault, he did make a vital save at 2-1 for them though. Strange that ESPN would mention the game without referencing that that last save though
Seems a bit harsh. He made a decent save then had two hands on the ball when someone took it away from him. The rest of our defense stood around watching whilst he was battling three Burnley players.
I'll echo the sentiments of others in the thread that it was mostly the defence, it wasn't great keeping either though even if he was hung out to dry a bit.

He made a good save, if he stays on the line, this can go in. But him coming out and jumping at Milik, who didnt stay cool. That is also part of the game. Nobody cares how he saved it, just that he did.

Actually you can see in replay that he is going towards the ball. This little less space made the difference in advancing (and of course Mane not scoring).
I haven't seen much of Alison tbh but what I saw today was definitly good -> calm + good football skills/passing and a top class save.

I agree. There's been plenty of keepers around that would've improved Liverpool, even some outside of the top six. Schmeichel would've been a good short term fix even imo. The fact it took Klopp 3 years to address a glaringly obvious problem is quite laughable.

I'm a small bugger and I've played in goal in 11 aside and 5 aside (no real level). I know the 101 basics but the rest is getting inside strikers' heads before they've even shot. Obviously Milik should have done better. Doesn't mean Alisson didn't play a part in putting him in two minds which ended up him going for the safe option of going for the target instead, i.e. straighter than it should have been.
Edit: Karius and Mig know more about keeping than any of us put together. Guaranteed they would have been picking the ball up out of the net.

He won as best keeper of the Italian Serie A last week. They have some excellent keepers in Italy. I think what some people dont get is how he makes things look simple and dont make a scandal out of any save. Also he is a leader for his defense.
It was genuinely one of the most straightforward pieces of goalkeeping you're ever going to see. He didn't get in Milik's head anymore than any other half-decent keeper would have. He quite literally moved towards him a bit (as he should), and spread his limbs out a bit (as he should). You teach that shit to kids that want a go in goal.
The guy's an obvious improvement on Karius and Mignolet, but feck me, that save does not prove it.
