All change of ownership and Red Knights related posts here please

Look, i'm not here so you can 'get something out of' me. I've been baffled as to what it is that you're supposedly asking me, and i've told you as much. If you want my opinion on something then all you have to do is ask, but you seem to be skipping that bit in favour of complaining about my lack of psychic ability.

Er, read above. By this time - way above. TBH, I've got too many beers in me by now and I've quite forgotten what we were talking about. Speak tomorrow?

In this solitary case, having tried (er, struggled?) to get something out of Cider more than just his usual putaways, it actually is none of the above.

It's simply a facHt. (no wait, that;s ironic again :nervous:)

Sorry but the vast majority believe that the Red Knights would be better than the Glazers based on far too little information to form an opinion one way or another, the fact that so many believe it makes it to those same people a compelling theory which in their minds must be true (they can't all be wrong).

Cidermans opinion, which to me seems rational, to the pack seems like irrational dissent as the foundation of their belief is so flimsy that any challenge properly considered would expose the gaping flaws of placing so much trust in a group of investors whose intentions are as yet an extremely grey area. So although there is no real evidence one way or another the collective wisdom of believing that the Red Knights are better because you want them to be or that the population of China has no real value to the club as a revenue stream are equally flawed.

Awww thanks :D

Actually, the Earth is a bit wider than it is 'high'. The shape is often called a geoid (Earth-like) or an ellipsoid. The rotation of the Earth causes a slight bulge toward the equator. The circumference of the Earth at the equator (24,901.55) is about 41 miles greater than the circumference through the poles (24,859.82 miles. If you were standing on the moon, looking at the Earth, it would be virtually impossible to see the bulge and the Earth would appear to be a perfect sphere.

The mathematical name for the shape of the earth is an 'Oblate spheroid'.

It also has mountains which would ruin any attempt to classify it as a perfect sphere even without the bulge.

That's quite fair, and if you read my posts above, I've allowed enough room for Cider (or anyone) el;se to put forth a meaningful argument. I'm a tremndously huge believer in dissent - I've been fired thrice out of my first 3 jobs for that (well, invited right back afterward everytime, but nonetheless I had no guarantee that I would, and so took pretty big risks for vague intangibles like 'principles'. (And was taken back on each time, probably because I made a lot of 'real world' sense as well simultaneously)

Although I'm a few too many beers down to remember what it was I was asking Cider to expound upon (I',m sure if I read this thread tomorrow I'll remember) - well I'm too drunk at this point, okay? But read above, I have given Cider more room and more - well - gracious consideration than most of the posters here, although I don't agree with his position to exaplain his thoughts in a clear and cohesive manner.

[EDIT: This was in reponse to Cpt.Marvel. I think. Too mnay beers.

To be fair, Cider has become the shittest poster, ever.

The wanker!

To be fair, I only remembe rthe term 'obalte spheroid' bacause of my fat friend (see above).

But that makes me an arsehole. Spoony, are you sure that when you were in school, you were never teased for being stoooooooooooopid? Cos that would explain it.

You'd clearly had a few too many beers by the start of the last page, mate. The only thing you asked me was, "But please work out how much exactly the China market is growing and how that impacts on club revenues." To which i answered, quite sensibly, by telling you that what you were requesting was well outside any of our capabilities. Which was my original point exactly; KingMinger22 had a go at SAred for making assumtions on the Chinese market, and then made a load of assumtions himself on exaxtly that - i pointed out the hypocritical nature of that kind of post and quoted the population of China. Then you began ranting at me.

If you want a simple analogy imagine an agnostic being asked to prove the non existence of god to a fundamentalist.

I haven't had so many beers that I can't remember SARed talking about 'Internt broadcast rights' as separate from TV rights yesterday. Which ( although excuse the beers!) I think I pretty much said was unrealistic. Thinking about yesterday;s posts mind.

Cider, you, if I remember right, latched on to some of SaRed's posts and seemed to think it proved your position right.

I'm still willing to listen to you and why the RK are not the destined solution, but again, before I'd gone into the beers you were talking right nonsense wihtout backing it up. Such as China will provide us wiht an incredible boost to revenue streams.

Now, since I've been nice enough to own up to being well sozzled at thgis point, I think it only fair that you give me till tomorrow tom take this up with ypou again. Fair?

Now, you;re just being a WUM. Or in SPoony's terminology, 'an areshole.'

Which mens, CptMarvs, you will prolly get a more coherent response from me tomorrow.

Still, I think you're just being a WUM, And don't think that opinion will change tomorrow.

It's funny though, what you posted - er, sort of. Prolly. Maybe. No.

(BTW, a clever agnostic would never be forced into a situation where he/she'd be forced to prove the non-existence of something whose existence's never been proved. MAybe that's too clever for you.)

I think you're mistaking me for someone else - i only joined this whole thread on the last page, i haven't said anything here yesterday. I haven't conversed with SAred once, nor did i say that China will provide us with an incredible boost to revenue streams; SAred said that! All i did was to point out to KingMinger22 that it's hypocritical to tell SAred that he can't make assumptions on the future of the Chinese market, and then go on to validate this point with a load of assumptions of his own on the Chinese market. Then you, completely missing my point, demanded that i give you an in-depth analysis of the Chinese fecking market.

Eh, I'm down a few and you can't let off? What did I say?- let's talk tomorrow in sobriety. That's fair, Cider is it not?

Fair enough. I've just lost £30 on the City game, plus £10 on the Everton game yesterday, and now i just want to watch The Talented Mr Ripley in peace, see if it lives up to the book, and forget about football until i have to start thinking about the Liverpool game next week.

Alright mate. I've seen that a fair few ttimes. And always love Matt Damon in it. Unless you're talking about the original :nervous:?

No, the Matt Damon one - didn't know there was an original. I finished the book a couple of weeks ago and loved it, so now i'm going to watch the film. Bollocks to Glazer and bollocks to the Red Knights.

I agree that I was happy in the knowledge that I'd confuse a drunk person but the analogy of believer vs open minded in a debate entirely lacking in evidence still fits.

Aye. I haven't see the Alain Delon version either. The Matt Damon's one is pretty good mind.

Does it make me gay if I think Ben Affleck is rubbish in comparison? (Spoony would prolly think so)

Nonetheless, it's a good pic, Cider, directed by Anthony Minghella and all that. Alrighht, I'm possibly intruding into your movie watching expetience at this point.

Cheers, cider.

Alright, let;s excuse Cider (and every other poster for a little while) - what do yopu have to say on the subject when you're not relying on other people's opiniopns?

I'm not going to read that shit, because I may be a little more litereate than you. That means, I know what agnostic means and what atheist means.

I don't even know what your fecking point is???

On the subject of the Red Knights there's not a lot to say, they could be better, worse or indifferent to the Glazers, untill they buy the club, pay off the debts and show that 70 pence in each pound isn't going to them instead of the banks its all just idle speculation.

On the Chineese market I think it's naive to think that such a huge population in a growing economy can be written off as a source of revenue.

Saw this in The Times....

The Red Knights intend to raise about £500m through between 50 and 60 so-called “super-investors” that would put in about £10m each. A further £250m would be raised from fans and the recent £500m bond is likely to be left in place.

Is it true?

I'm not saying they can be 'written off,' mate, I'm just saying they're not necessarily going to provide an incredible boost to revenues.

Oh, and EZee, you're quite clearly an eejit.

OK, so you;re relying on typos when I've quite clearly said I'm more than a few beers through?

You're some kind of genius. No, wait... that';s no kind of genius. In fact, thjat's an utter moron.

All I can say is wait till Roodboy gets here. But then again, I'm drunk, so maybe I meant to say... ah, feck it

the bond will probably have to remain in place as i pointed out before as to sell their bond im sure the investors would want to get what they were promived which was capital + 8% per year for 5 years... this would cost around £700 million to pay off...

they have a good rate of return and invested to make money so we are stuck with the 40 million quid a year interest and will have to find another 500 million in 5 years time to be debt free... or reissue another bond... or go to a bank for a loan... if we dont the bond was secured against our assests so we would be fecked... im looking forward to finding out more detail re the rk but this is one thing i would like to know more about as ultimatley to make us a debt free club they need to find a way of generating the extra 500 million over the 5 year life of the bond or at least paying it down substantially at the 5 year term... i guess thats one of the things nomura will be tasked with

no... if you were clever enough to understand the original post you would understand what i was getting at...

I would explain it to you... but i dont speak idiot

hth...

now jog on

Speculation, no-one has enough details to say how any bid is going to be constructed.
