Too early to compare Lucas and Anderson - Anderson comes with the better reputation

You can compare Torres and Tevez, Torres is better.

Torres is also better than Saha. But everyone knows this...bar Pogue

Anderson is and will be better than Lucas IMO. However, that's not to say Lucas is going to be average or anything, I'm sure he's going to be a top top talent, just not as good as Anderson.

Of course you can compare Torres and Tevez. But that would make you a spastic. We've already covered this.

And Torres is better than Saha. Would have been very close, this time last season, but Saha hasn't been the same player, since his last injury. Might be a temporary problem, might not.

I see you've managed to completely avoid mentioning Rooney, Kuyt and Voronin, in your spastic, striker-comparing frenzy.

Funny that.

If Liverpool had Anderson, there would have already been ten threads on RAWK calling him, the best midfielder in the world

Of course you can compare Torres and Tevez. But that would make you a spastic. We've already covered this.

So it's reasonable to compare Rooney with Barry, and say that Rooney's better. But not 2 strikers in Torres and Tevez, because they play differently....spastic indeed. Luckily, most can see round this difficult issue. You just don't want to try because you don't like the result..

And Torres is better than Saha. Would have been very close, this time last season, but Saha hasn't been the same player, since his last injury. Might be a temporary problem, might not.

It must be a full 2 weeks since you thought differently, and that Saha was as good. Perhaps in another fortnight you'll be able to compare Torres with Tevez, and see that Torres is better...

I see you've managed to completely avoid mentioning Rooney, Kuyt and Voronin, in your spastic, striker-comparing frenzy.

Rooney's miles better than Kuyt and Vorinin, obviously

Too early to judge Denilson, Anderson or Lucas in my opinion.

The threads on Anderson here are ridiculous, you'd think he was the Messiah.

Torres - appearances 260 goals 102. 0.39 goals a game
Tevez -appearances 147 goals 63. 0.42 goals a game

Not much difference
Aye.

But compare leagues, and the age Torres started in. He trumps it, and quite comfortably, if all things are considered. But that's not to say Tevez isn't a fantastic player, because we all know he is.

True... overall, but as things are Torres edges it.
Don't know, Tevez's goal ratio is marginally better and he also offers a lot more in terms of build up play and works hard for the team.

Saying that there's still hardly any difference and I'd probably rather have Torres because I feel he'd give us a different dimension to our attack and him and Rooney up front would shit over everybody.

Tevez is ace though, I love his attitude on the pitch. He's a fans favourite wherever he goes.

Who?

Kidding...
Heh.

Just the U15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 captain of Brazil.

Fantastic talent. I'd prefer him to this Lucas any day of the week.

Anderson's a different matter though.

EDIT: BAH, you got me mate.

Who is Lucas? From what I have read, he joined Liverpool. Haven't heard anything from him, yet. Must have been pretty quiet so far. I really dont have a clue who the heck he is.

I'm surprised Lucas has been given a chance so early with us, he's up against the best CM in the country, although Alonso's injury has helped him. Looked the part an all.

Haven't seen much of Anderson, although I thought he looked decent midweek. Horrible little shit mind

Neither are as good as Torres mind, nor is Tevez, or anyone else really....
Why we played you weeks ago?

Isn't this Denilson more of a holding midfielder?
I'm pretty sure he plays there for the Brazillian juniors.

Though for us he's been utilised in a variety of rolls, wide right - to the guts. He's capable all across the midfield, though I'm guessing he'll eventually settle in the holding midfield roll.

Not to say Wenger might not have other plans for him, I guess we'll just wait too see how the boy matures and how Wenger develops/utilises his abundance of potential.

thing then I'm not sure what to tell you....

This isn't a sensible football forum...we should have one though. That's a great idea
No it's not. It's like socialism. Great in theory but doesn't work in reality. Football fans are irriational by nature and sensible poeple have better thing to do with their Saturdays than watching 22 grown men kicking a Cow's hyde round a park.

In fact Torres cant be compared to tevez. In his role tevez is far better than torres.
But yes, Torres is better than saha, no question about that.

But why do we talk about torres and tevez in a thread about anderson, and some unknown guy?

you can also compare your best striker to our best striker and our best striker is miles better than yours. ROONEY > TORRES
Our second best striker is miles better than the rest of your pile of shit striker. TEVEZ > KUYT, VORONIN, COUCH.

Until Lucas does something to make me aware of who he is, the only comparison there can be is;

Anderson - 19 year old, classy midfield player. Already looking the part despite effectively being asked to replace Paul Scholes; class player

Lucas - some guy who's name is Lucas

Do you actually read other's peoples posts before typing?

When theres' a gulf in class the comparison is easy. Hence I can say with confidence, that Tevez is better than Sissoko.

When there's not a whole lot between two players (as you can see from Lizard's stats) it becomes a whole lot harder to say one player is "better" than another. If they are very different in the way they play the game, it gets even harder.

Not sure why I'm bothering to explain this to you. You don't really do sublety, in your "LFC=good, MUFC=bad" black-and-white world.

Premiership goals:

Tevez: 6
Torres: 6

Now even though Tevez isn't a main striker that will score goal after goal and Torres supposedly is, they both have the same amount of Premiership goals. But of course, Torres is a far better player.

As a neutral, he certainly is. Though not by 'far.'

And you're painting it far too black and white. Torres is new to the league. Tevez is not. Tevez has probably played more games then Torres too.
